Adding a Statement TAB to Contacts
Dear Xero Team,
It would be very helpful to have a separate "Statement" tab for each contact to upload statements received from suppliers or contractors for accounts payable.
I recommend adding this tab under the existing Contacts section, alongside the current tabs for Bills, Purchase Orders, Receive Money, and Spend Money.

Copy phone number instead of link address
Please remove the tel: prefix when phone numbers are copied from XPM to be pasted elsewhere. Currently they are formatted to have a "tel:" prefix which is part of the hyperlink format that makes phone numbers clickable, however this creates extra work when one needs to copy and paste the number because after pasting we have to edit it and remove the "tel:" prefix.
As an admin function we often need to copy and paste the number and would like the "tel:" prefix removed please.
FYI the email field had a "copy to:" prefix but that has since been removed…

add videos
Being able to add a video to the attachments on an invoice so when sending an invoice, you can send a 5-10 second video of a repair or service or what was fixed or item you are invoicing over. Photos are good, but sometimes video is better.

Smart Capture - images from email signature captured as files
We're experiencing issues when an invoice is emailed in - Smart Capture adds any images in an email signature to Xero files as a document. These .png or .jpeg files are logos or social media buttons in the email signature.
I've emailed in 2 invoices to test the function and now have 14 files to review. If I ask my client to email in receipts these additional images will need to be reviewed and deleted one by one to check they aren't an invoice or receipt; this wastes time. We also use Dext for invoice processing and don't experience this…

credit control history needs more attention
Credit control- the history data needs more detail
Sending an invoice and sending a reminder - have the same written detail in historyCan you differentiate when a reminder has been sent at least !
Can you also differentiate if the reminder is Overdue, On stop or Letter before Action as per the different email body templates available to send

Credit control - customer 'on stop' function required
Can you please have the function to place a customer 'on stop' until payment has been made.
Credit controller needs the visibilty to see that a customer has been placed on stop pending payment and show in the history date went on stop and why
Perhaps a colour visual like a red on stop button for instant awareness

contact creation
For internal controls it would be good if creating new customer and supplier contact can go through a draft and for approval stage. This allows an approver to 4 eyes check the information captured before the contact is created. (Ensure all required fields get captured)

there is no add files button for some bank receipts . This happens when there is a mix of invoices and credit notes
Add an attach files button to all bank entries on the bank account transaction page. The button is omitted when a receipt is made up of invoice and credit notes or payment adjustment. The button is required to add the clients remittance advice.

Smart document capture - Defaults when reviewing files
Most of our receipt uploads are treated as spend money, using our main bank account.
Every time I review a receipt I have to select the document / transaction type and the bank account used.

Smart document capture - Add tracking category when reviewing
Provide a way for an uploaded document to be assigned to tracking categories.
Due to screen space I suggest an icon which opens a pop up selector.Currently to assign a category to tracked items means re-opening and re-editing the transaction.

Contacts - Warning of existing archived contact with same name
Xero currently does not identify a contact as a duplicate if the contact has been archived and another one is being created with the same name.
Some people have thousands of contacts so this isn't something that we can manually check before we create a new contact.
It would be much better if Xero advised you that there was an archived contact with the same name when you are creating a new contact - then we could just restore the previous contact, and all of our purchases (or sales) would be in the same correct contact. This would also improve…

Hubdoc APP Login multiple companies different email address
Abilty to log into APP with different email address (not the alias option) for people who work at different organisations they are very protective of what email address they will send paperwork to and have control of with privacy and control. Therefore the app needs to allow multiple logins with different emails address rather than the alias option as this will not be accepted by alot of businesses.

Account Column in Contacts Page
In the transaction lists in a client, having the ability to add "account" column to see what expense account a Spend Money is associated with, or the income account a Receive Money is recorded to.

view which clients have new Xero Files uploads - accountant dashboard
I have many clients so it is time consuming to go to each client organisation and into Files just to check whether there are new uploads. It would be great to have a dashboard in Xero HQ that showed how many items were in a clients Xero Files inbox. Or at least get notified when a client has uploaded to the Files inbox.

Certificate of Insurance (COI) Management | Compliance
While Xero currently allows documents like Certificates of Insurance to be uploaded to a contact, it would be much more effective to have a structured compliance tracking feature similar to how W-9 information is managed. This would allow users to input and track key insurance details—such as policy type (e.g., General Liability, Workers’ Compensation), coverage limits, and expiration dates—directly within the vendor or contractor profile. statements
Please improve Statements so that they show credit balances if the customer account is in credit. We have customers who pay proforma for some items, so sometimes their account is in credit. Xero only shows a £0 balance in these cases, which is incorrect. The balance needs to be the actual balance as the statements are useless in these cases. Thank you :)

Adjust VAT when recording Spend Money direct from the Files page
I like the new feature where you can record Spend Money transactions direct from the Files page, but the whole feature becomes useless if you can't adjust the VAT amount to match that on the voucher/receipt. Switching to 'VAT Exclusive' doesn't give you the ability to amend the VAT value, so if it's out by a penny you have to cancel the operation and record it in the old Spend Money way. Seems a bit silly really.
So, allow users to adjust the VAT amount when recording Spend Money transactions direct from the Files screen.

ATO - Client Phone/Mobile populated field included in reports
Need to identify clients where the Phone/Mobile field has been populated. Currently reporting and exporting options do not separate the populated Client Phone field into Phone/Mobile etc. There is a compatibility issue with ATO SmartDocs not picking up the mobile phone number if it is in the Client's Phone/Mobile field. We need to move these to Phone/Phone field to fix the issue, but currently there is no way XPM can provide a list or report showing clients where their Phone/Mobile field has been populated.
