  1. When merging customers xero currently completes the merge and then displays the profile that has been moved which typically (for me) contains no customer data. Is it possible to instead display the profile that the customer has been merged to which shows all the existing customer data. Usually I am completing a merge and then having to go in and search for the customer name again.

  2. On the contacts page you can see the bills and the value, it will either appear with the value in the paid column or the due column unless it has been allocated against a credit. Any allocated credit notes and the invoices they have been allocated to appear as £0.00 in the paid and due column. Now as we have to allocate the credits in order to include them in a bulk payment (a completely pointless time consuming exercise still not addressed by XERO! but lets not get side tracked by another basic function missing) the fact the values are…

  4. Needs 'Are you sure' pop up for Deleting Contact Files

    Its too easy to accidentally delete a file attached to a Contact. Needs to be an 'Are you sure you want to delete ...' pop up when deleting.
    Especially as it also doesn't populate in the history/notes section that anything has been deleted.

  5. Hi guys,

    It would be great if we could get reminders for customers and suppliers birthdays, this is great for customer relations. Also a reminder for certain documents that might expire at a certain time.

  6. In the activity tab in contacts, it'd be great to be able to have a "files" column just like in the bills section, so that we can preview the invoices to the side rather than having to click into the bill to see the invoice.

  7. When looking at a customer's account in Contacts, there should be a spot in the invoices due that shows clearly if there is an unallocated overpayment, prepayment or Credit at a glance.

    There also needs to be a better report just for unallocated Prepayments, Credits and Overpayments.

    I find the Receivable Invoice Summary isn't wait I'm looking for as it doesn't fulfil the job required.

  9. Right now, we see average days we pay or receive payment. It would be good if we can have another row that shows us the payment terms we have with the contact so we can benchmark against performance that way. The data is already in Xero, just need to show it.

  10. EORI numbers are required for all European customers especially when invoicing/shipping goods. It is an extension of their VAT numbers. Please can XERO create a new field on the contacts for this. We are recording this currently in the new notes or "FAX" number so it shows quickly. Are Fax numbers still necessary?

  11. Sort 'customer or supplier' list by account number from the drop down menu, (not the same as the search function).
    The account number field is a unique identifier to any customer or supplier record. Having this function should be a necessity as it is with most other software.
    In many cases the account number field is overlooked in Xero from the users point of view, yet it underpins the whole database for many people and connecting software/apps.

  12. Using the dashboard search, we are no longer able to search by account number and must instead use names. Account numbers are used by thousands of businesses across the country and it's one of my most common client questions.

  13. Very simple fix. Add 'Group' as a column header on CSV export download of contacts. When I download all the contacts, ive no way of knowing which group they are in, or if they are not in a group.

  14. Currently, when filtering smart lists by location you can only add [city, state] tags. It would be nicer to be able to just add country tags, to sort / view contacts by country as opposed to by city.

    This would also allow new contacts in that country to automatically be added to the list, vs needing to handle this manually.

  15. When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

  16. During the creation process, we should be allowed to update all fields necessary on the Contact record.

    Example I have at the moment is one of my customers needs to set their clients details within Xero so they can invoice them correctly. At the moment we can't use the API to set the Website field.

In the new contact view, everything is spread out, with lots of wasted white space (similar to the bills list without 'compact view' toggled, or the list of repeating bills (which doesn't have the ability to be compact in view). I can deal with the info I need to pick a transaction to open being on complete opposite sides of a widescreen by pulling the contact into a new window and reducing the width of that window until it's readable without excessive twisting of the head (a poor workaround for an ergonomics risk, but it's the only one I could…

  18. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

    Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.

    If there is any plans made around this we will update you of this, here.

  19. It would be great if, when viewing a contact, there was a quick 'sign/flag' to show if that contact has an active Direct Debit form.

    Currently you have to go to >Settings >Payment Service >GoCardless >edit >Direct Debit Forms

  20. Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.
