  1. During the creation process, we should be allowed to update all fields necessary on the Contact record.

    Example I have at the moment is one of my customers needs to set their clients details within Xero so they can invoice them correctly. At the moment we can't use the API to set the Website field.

  2. It would be good for the lower scroll bar to display when a screen is minimised (in contacts). Currently, if you minimise the screen (as I do when I am comparing entries in another external on-line tab, for example, with my HMRC account, or my on-line bank account) you can only see the left of the minimised screen. The information does not compact into a full but smaller screen, neither is there a scroll button to scroll the information to the right.   4. Better documentation for BankAccountNumber needed.

    The documentation for importing contacts is not clear, specifically how to include banking details.

    First time users, such as myself, could be greatly assisted if the documentation for the BankAccountNumber was described as <bsb><space><account number>.

    I did a large number of documentation and Google searches before it clicked that the BSB and account number are both specified in the BankAccountNumber field. This is not obvious.

  5. Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.

  6. it would be great if there was a tick box for being to select if a contact wants to be excluded from marketing contact. if there was a tick box, it would be handy to be able to generate a report showing those who you can contact and those who have opted out, and being able to export that data to excel. i know xero is a finance platform rather then a direct crm however it just seems that for small businesses especially this would be a great tool and as xero does generate reports and exports to excel anyway…

  7. So we have set up and had a lot of success with email templates in Xero. it would be useful to have the ability to have a default option for each contact (or group of contacts) a specific template for a specific reason eg new invoice or AR. so that everytime we go to email an invoice for example it preloads on a certain template.

    Eg we have a number of clients that only speak read German and/or french so it would be nice to be able to set these contacts to default to use our German and/or French templates…

  9. PRIMARY & SECONDARY/OTHER CONTACTS

    Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

  11. it would be great to be able to have multiple reference numbers for one contact, so that way if you have multiple jobs for one company, it can be under the same name. instead of having to make up multiple contacts for the same person.

  12. When adding a new Customer have a field at that time to place the new customer into a Group.
    Would save time later and enable a better CRM feature for later marketing.

Currently this badge is displayed for the additional people only when there's at least a first name associated with them, but often our "additional people" are only email addresses with no first/last names, an the only way to see whether the "included in emails" option has been enabled for them is to enter two nested edit modes (4 clicks total). This is really unnecessary. Just display the badge if the box has been checked!

  14. I have a client who is wanting to set up a vendor and queried about the ability to send a form to the potential vendor with information required directly from Xero
    Unfortunately this is not an option at this time but I am wondering if this is something other businesses would use and how helpful this would be

  15. I have 4000 archived contacts that I need to restore. Doing them one by one is ridiculous and will take an eternity. Adding check boxes on the side to select multiple to restore in bulk would be an easy feature to add and benefit greatly.

  16. Ability: Xero only displaying the unpaid invoice up top under client/contact ----- same as former Xero version - PLEASE change this back it was perfect and it is very much not userfriendly now

    Purpose: quick overview of the account i.e. which invoices are unpaid and what was communicated last

    Current issue: with the new changes all client invoices are displayed on top, this clutters the view and is useless information, the old invoice (old and paid) don't need to be visible on top. The current invoice status is important i.e. what is not paid. It is clutter to display all…

  17. I would like to ask if there is a possibility of having on suppliers' and customers' activity bar (please see attached screenshot, what I mean) and one more column - bill/invoice description? I used to work with QuickBooks, and they had this feature, which was very helpful.

  18. After reporting a bug (can no longer preview contact files) I was given the following response :

    "As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to preview contact files anymore. You can however, download it and view it instead.
    I’ve included a link to Xero Product Ideas where you can view and support current ideas or create a new one to share your thoughts."

    When something breaks you fix it. You DO NOT pretend that fixing it is a "New Feature" - that then needs requested and voted on.

  20. To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.
