Reporting - Customisable Graphs
Recommendation is to add graphs as a report on Xero. Clients can see their turnover an example over a few months which can be sent to them direct from Xero !
Hi everyone, thanks for your support and sharing on this idea. As some may have come across Xero now has Analytics.
Analytics enables all Business edition orgs (excluding Simple plan) to explore and customise visualisations and dashboards of the organisations key financial data, which can then be shared via link or export with colleagues or clients.
You can access these features via the navigation in your Xero homepage through the 'Reporting' tab.

There are a bunch of graphs that are already available in Xero for specific metrics. But they are not editable, and the custom reporting feature does not include graphs either. I'm presently making a report that I want to view myself using a graph, so I support this development. But it will need to have a few other things added to make it truly useful
In my own case I want to produce a monthly summary of Invoices Paid.
This will allow time-correlation of external factors, such as regional and world economic events, advertising campaigns and the like.I need the number of Invoices and the Invoice Date broken into Months/Years. So, a COUNT of invoices, and a breakdown of a selected DATE into DAY, MONTH, Year < mathematical oerations of existing data. Others may think of other fields that need this kind of treatment.

I agree, I think being able to produce a graph report would be helpful to see changes in figures much quicker than studying figures.

My clients would like to access a sales graph that is laid out similar to the Intuit QBO Sales Graph (line graph that can disply rolling monthly totals for the last 12 months).

I have learned that most of my clients do not actually read the monthly/quarterly reports I prepare using Xero. They prefer just looking at the simple graphs I create in excel and include in the financials package to summarize the information. They will look at the Xero reports if they see something of concern/interest from the graph and want more specifics. They especially like the graphs I snip from Xero's bank account page.

the Xero analytics can not be customised to add into a reporting pack, I think if this could have the feature to edit the layout that would be awesome. Would like it in the standard subscription not just advisers

Agree. I think in general it would be nice to see more graph-based reports in Xero.
One example in particular would be to a multiline graph/trendline of tracked category profit/loss over time.
Another example would be the same but being able to isolated a particular account/accounts.
