Keep the Classic Interface as an Option
The new journal entry interface is a step backwards in usability. In the previous version, I could view multiple journal lines at once because the layout was more compact and allowed the entire journal to be displayed on one page. This made it much easier to review, understand, and track entries.
With the new interface, there is much less visibility, and I find myself constantly scrolling to see related lines. This makes it harder to follow complex journals, increases the risk of errors, and slows down the review process. Similar to the GST report update, the changes appear to prioritise design over functionality.
My ideas is that Rather than removing the classic view, could Xero allow users to choose between the classic and new interfaces? This would accommodate different working styles and provide a better experience for all users.

The changes to the manual journal layout are impractical and add time. The full line can't be seen at one time which means to input or to view, you have to scroll across. This also means that you can't take a snip of the journal which is the quickest way to capture in communications. There is so much blank space on either sides of the screen. This is terrible and very frustrating. It worked much better before. I also preferred the look of the previous journal. Not sure why development time has been put into visual changes that are a step backwards. Please reinstate the previous journal layout and functionality that doesn't require scrolling across the screen to see the journal.
