Banking - Recognise bank account "Spaces" or "Pots" eg Starling, Monzo etc
Recognising Bank Account "Spaces" or "Pots" eg Starling, Monzo etc
Most modern banks are now providing this extremely useful facility, so it would make sense for Xero to incorporate recognising these kind of transactions please (rather than us having to manually enter fake transactions to move them out of the bank account.
Xero currently doesn’t show/cope with moving money around Spaces within a bank account?Come on guys, loads of banks are going towards this kind of functionality!
We can even pay DDs right from a Space.Pls can you add maybe “sub-accounts” indented underneath each Bank account to show where…
11 votesThanks for sharing this idea about bank account Spaces and Pots. We appreciate you explaining how this could help with managing funds across banking platforms such as Starling and Monzo.

Virgin money feed - Support for business savings account
"Virgin Money" is available as a bank feed currently but this doesn't cover bank accounts with the 08-60-64 sort code, this is used for Virgin Money's business savings products. The login page for the current feed says that it only supports accounts starting with sort codes 05 and 82.
4 votesAppreciate your feedback and detail in your idea here, Ryan. We continuing to develop more feeds with banks and I'l be sure to update you if this is planned for Virgin Money business savings account.

Bank Feeds - Support for Commonwealth Bank (CBA) personal credit cards
Bank feeds for Commonwealth Bank personal credit cards
9 votesHi Ben, thanks for sharing your idea. I’ve moved this to Gaining Support.
Currently, our direct feed agreement with CBA is limited to their business and corporate products. However, with the ongoing rollout of Open Banking in Australia, we know there is a lot of interest in seeing more personal account types supported.
I’ve updated the title to "Bank Feeds - Support for Commonwealth Bank (CBA) personal credit cards" so other community members can easily find this and add their votes.
Quick Tip for now: Until a direct feed is available, the most efficient way to get those transactions in is to download an OFX or CSV file from NetBank and use the "Import a Statement" feature in Xero. You can find a step-by-step guide on manual imports here.

Stripe Feed - Include transaction details
To enable Stripe reconciliations in Xero I have a Stripe feed in (as a "bank account), but unfortunately it is lacking in information, so when doing reconciliations you still need to open Stripe to find out what payments are for. It would save SO much time if the metadata could be brought through on the feed too, or if there was a way of including more information in the transaction field.
6 votesThanks for your feedback on bringing more transaction details through from Stripe. We appreciate you sharing how important this is for your reconciliation workflow.

Stripe - Allow user to choose payment account when creating a Stripe direct feed
Currently, if you connect a new Stripe feed, your default Stripe payment account auto updates to the new account without asking or notifying you. This is highly problematic. At a minimum, you should be notified that its updated. At best, it should ask if you want to update.
4 votesHi Allison thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. Bank Feeds | Check Dates - Ability for Xero to autopopulate the check with date and payee
Currently, a check written is downloaded in the feed with the date the check cleared and no payee name. It would be fantastic if AI could read the check, enter the payee and the date the check was actually written rather than the date it cleared. That would save the user from having to look up the check on the bank website and manually editing it so that the bank reconciliation is actually correct.
2 votesThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Idea’s David. We can appreciate the need for AI to read the details such as payee and date when the check was written. We’ll start to track support in your idea from the community, here.

Bank Feed - Update wording when selecting a bank account
When adding a new bank account the client needs to tick 'don't select' on all the other accounts which can be unsettling if these accounts already have bank feeds. There must be better wording for this, or remove the need to tick 'don't select'.
2 votesHi Saara, we can see how updates to the labels or instructions in the bank feed connection flow could help make setup clearer and reduce the chance of selecting the wrong account.
We'll continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product teams.

Bank Feed - Caixa Bank
Could you please look into integration with Caixa Bank? Such a pain doing manual import of bank statements
1 voteThanks for sharing your idea, Ellen. We appreciate there are more banks our customers would like to see us to connect with and save manual efforts involved in having to import bank statements manually.
We'l start to get a sense of the wider interest in a feed with Caixa and I'll be sure to let you know here if there are any plans made for this.

Bank Feed - HSBC more frequent updates than every 24 hours
HSBC Business bank feed that updates more frequently than 24 hours in arrears. The fact that it takes more than a day for a customer payment to appear in Xero makes it hard to have effective account management.
3 votesHi Nikki — thanks for sharing this and explaining how more frequent updates would help your account management. I can see that you have raised this previously with Xero Support and as you know there is a delay of 24 hours for the UK HSBC bank feed to reduce duplicates 😣. We can assure you that we’ll keep monitoring this and will update the thread as further improvements become available. Thanks again for raising it and helping us track demand.

Bank Feed | Fidelity - Support for (LLC) investment accounts
Please allow direct bank feeds with Fidelity. They are one of the largest financial institutions in the world!!
6 votesReturning to the idea here we appreciate while Xero currently supports feeds for Personal Fidelity bank account types it's not possible to set up a feed for investment account types.
We'd like to track and understand the interest from our community in this. We'll share with everyone here if plans are made.

Revoult - Savings & Funds Bank Feed
Xero already supports a Revoult bank feed for the 'Main' account but when bank a feed established it does not include the 'Savings & Funds' bank feed.
As Revoult offer the 'Savings & Funds' account as part of the standard business account offering, majority of customers would use the 'Savings & Funds' account too as it is interest generating.
Please add a bank feed for the Revoult Savings & Funds to make it a seamless reconciliation process.
2 votesThanks for sharing your interest in supporting more Revolut account types, Jon.
It's now time for the community to get behind and support your idea.
We'll be keeping a close eye on the traction this builds here, and will post an update if there is any progress.

Bank Feed - Apple Card
I would love a bank feed (ideally a direct feed) that supported Apple Card. A number of other financial programs support it - Xero should too!

Bank Feeds - Request for bank feeds for ABN AMRO Bank
Please instate bank feeds for ABN AMRO bank (the Netherlands). I joined Xero for its highly automated systems. Now I still have to download and import bank statements manually.
It adds insult to injury for the fact I have to sign up to a premium plan to be able to account in a mere two currencies. For small traders like myself with low turn-overs and no need for the majority of features larger companies need, this feels deeply inappropriate and unfair. (another idea about this topic is already live elsewhere)
12 votesHey everyone, thanks for the support on this idea.
While our Open Banking connections in the EU currently cover only Denmark and Ireland, you can still keep your ABN AMRO transactions up to date in Xero by manually importing your statements.
We'll keep en eye on the support for this here, and let you know of any updates in this area. Thanks for taking the time to share!

Bank Feed - BlueVine
Until recently I have been manually importing my monthly BlueVine Statements into Xero. This is a far from ideal approach since from a reporting and receivables standpoint, the data will always be stale and out of date. This leads to events like automated past due reminders going out for receivables that have actually been received and marked as paid.
I just recently learned of the bank feed integration with Yodlee, but the quality of the data provided by this service is heavily flawed by sending over incorrect analysis codes with transactions that cannot be removed or edited. While it does…
1 voteAppreciate you sharing why the Yodlee feed doesn't currently fit your needs, Jeff.
We're always keen to hear the new feed connections our customers would most like to see. We don't have immediate plans for a direct bank feed with BlueVine, however we'll start to get a feel of the this through support in your idea here, and can keep you updated if any plans are made.
