Virgin money feed - Support for business savings account
"Virgin Money" is available as a bank feed currently but this doesn't cover bank accounts with the 08-60-64 sort code, this is used for Virgin Money's business savings products. The login page for the current feed says that it only supports accounts starting with sort codes 05 and 82.
6 votesAppreciate your feedback and detail in your idea here, Ryan. We continuing to develop more feeds with banks and I'l be sure to update you if this is planned for Virgin Money business savings account.

Banking - Recognise bank account "Spaces" or "Pots" eg Starling, Monzo etc
Recognising Bank Account "Spaces" or "Pots" eg Starling, Monzo etc
Most modern banks are now providing this extremely useful facility, so it would make sense for Xero to incorporate recognising these kind of transactions please (rather than us having to manually enter fake transactions to move them out of the bank account.
Xero currently doesn’t show/cope with moving money around Spaces within a bank account?Come on guys, loads of banks are going towards this kind of functionality!
We can even pay DDs right from a Space.Pls can you add maybe “sub-accounts” indented underneath each Bank account to show where…
18 votesThanks for sharing this idea about bank account Spaces and Pots. We appreciate you explaining how this could help with managing funds across banking platforms such as Starling and Monzo.

Stripe Feed - Include transaction details
To enable Stripe reconciliations in Xero I have a Stripe feed in (as a "bank account), but unfortunately it is lacking in information, so when doing reconciliations you still need to open Stripe to find out what payments are for. It would save SO much time if the metadata could be brought through on the feed too, or if there was a way of including more information in the transaction field.
11 votesThanks for your feedback on bringing more transaction details through from Stripe. We appreciate you sharing how important this is for your reconciliation workflow.

Bank Feeds - Support for Commonwealth Bank (CBA) personal credit cards
Bank feeds for Commonwealth Bank personal credit cards
10 votesHi Ben, thanks for sharing your idea. I’ve moved this to Gaining Support.
Currently, our direct feed agreement with CBA is limited to their business and corporate products. However, with the ongoing rollout of Open Banking in Australia, we know there is a lot of interest in seeing more personal account types supported.
I’ve updated the title to "Bank Feeds - Support for Commonwealth Bank (CBA) personal credit cards" so other community members can easily find this and add their votes.
Quick Tip for now: Until a direct feed is available, the most efficient way to get those transactions in is to download an OFX or CSV file from NetBank and use the "Import a Statement" feature in Xero. You can find a step-by-step guide on manual imports here.

Bank feeds - introduce bank feeds in Nigeria
Proposal Title:
Introducing Xero Bank Feeds for Nigerian Financial Institutions
Introduction:
The absence of direct bank feeds in Nigeria creates unnecessary manual work and increases the risk of errors. We propose the introduction of bank feeds for key Nigerian banks to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Objective:
To enable seamless, secure, and automated bank feeds in Xero, reducing reliance on manual imports and strengthening audit readiness.
Problem Statement:
Currently, users must manually import bank statements. This process is:Time-consuming and repetitive
Prone to human error and reconciliation delays
A barrier to real-time financial reporting and compliance
Proposed Solution:
Xero should partner…2 votesThanks for bringing this to our attention Courtney! We appreciate the time taken and the details around which banks would be most beneficial. Others in the community are now able to vote and comment on the idea so we can gauge interest and pass this onto the Product team.

Bank Feeds - Validate bank account numbers when setting up direct bank feeds
We have twice had clients attach the wrong bank account to the Xero bank accounts when setting up direct bank feeds. Obviously they should check the bank account number when attaching the account but there should be a check in the software to prevent or at least warn against this.
2 votesHi there, appreciate you for putting this forward. We can see how validating bank account numbers during direct bank feed setup could help reduce errors and give users more confidence when connecting their accounts.
We just want to highlight that users have the option to edit and change bank account numbers from the Chart Of Accounts screen after the bank feed is connected.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is something you'd like to see, please keep voting and share how this would improve your bank feed setup process.

Bank feed | Yodlee - Real time bank feed
My bank connects via Yodlee and is consistently 7-10 days behind. Upon manually refreshing it is still several days behind. This makes staying on top of reconciliation in a timely manner frustrating and at times creates more work as items that have been user entered and manually reconciled then appear again from the bank feed. The rest of Xero is great to use but this one feature is a significant negative.
3 votesHi everyone, thanks for the idea. We understand you’d like Yodlee bank feeds to update more quickly, ideally in closer to real time, so transactions are available sooner for reconciliation.
This could make it easier to manage day-to-day bookkeeping with out waiting for feed delays.
We’ll continue to monitor feedback and input from the community here.

Account Transactions Report - View bank statement particulars on the report instead of transactions detail
I would imagine many Xero files have at some time had a person going click happy with the OK button on the dashboard and reconciling to the incorrect entry.
By simply adding a column to choose Bank Statement Particulars in the Account Transactions report we could visually see easily if lines were reconciled to the wrong entry. This is not creating a new report but simply adding access to another column.2 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We understand you’re looking for a way to view original bank statement details directly within the Account Transactions report to make auditing and reconciliation easier.
Having bank particulars visible alongside ledger data could help you quickly verify entries without needing to switch between reports or screens.
We’ll continue to collect feedback and interest from the community.

Bank feeds: Last refresh date to show on dashboard
For bank accounts, add the date that the account was last refreshed in Xero. Currently, it only shows the date of the last transaction, but I can't tell if my last feed failed or if there just weren't any new transactions. Seeing the last successful refresh would tell me if I need to refresh again.
(One of my accounts requires MFA every time, so Xero always shows a manual "Refresh" button, and so that doesn't tell me whether or not the feed succeeded.)3 votesThanks for sharing your idea about have the bank feed's last refresh date visible on the homepage.

Bank Feeds - Streamline 2FA loops for RBC
New RBC Royal Bank Feed Flinks is very cumbersome for 2FA it asks for the code twice. It also cannot see the Line of Credit feeds that has to be refreshed separately compared to the old connector (Yodlee?). Would be great if you could give feedback to Flinks for a faster connection.
2 votesHi Samantha, thanks for sharing your feedback on this. The suggestion here is to streamline the two-factor authentication (2FA) process for RBC bank feeds, reducing the need to re-verify as often when accessing your connected accounts.
We’ve updated this idea to **Gaining Support** so we can continue tracking interest and share your feedback with our teams.
A quick note: this post also mentions support for RBC Line of Credit feeds. To keep ideas focused on one improvement at a time, please create a separate idea for that request so it can gather its own feedback and support.

Stripe - Allow user to choose payment account when creating a Stripe direct feed
Currently, if you connect a new Stripe feed, your default Stripe payment account auto updates to the new account without asking or notifying you. This is highly problematic. At a minimum, you should be notified that its updated. At best, it should ask if you want to update.
4 votesHi Allison thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. Bank Feeds - Establish direct bank feed connection for Bank of Singapore (An OCBC Company)
Dear Support,
Please expand bank feed connections to the Bank of Singapore (An OCBC Company). This will assist greatly in processing bank account information in Xero.1 voteThanks for taking the time to suggest this. We understand the request to add Bank of Singapore as a supported bank feed connection. This could help customers and advisors spend less time managing manual statement uploads.
For now, bank transactions can be brought into Xero by importing a supported statement file from your banking provider.
We've updated this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest from the community. If this connection would help your business, add your vote and let us know more about your setup.

Bank Feeds - Enable direct bank feeds for Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Line of Credit accounts
The new RBC connector cannot see the Line of Credit feeds and has to be refreshed separately compared to the old connector (Yodlee?)
1 voteHi Samantha, thanks for highlighting this improvement. We understand the ask to have a direct bank feed for RBC Line of Credit accounts could make it much easier to keep borrowing activity and repayments up to date without relying on manual imports.
At the moment, direct feeds for some RBC Line of Credit accounts aren't available. This means transactions may need to be imported manually, which can add extra steps when reconciling your accounts and monitoring balances.
In the meantime, you can download transactions from your RBC Online Banking account and import them into Xero using the Import a Statement option. This helps keep your account up to date while continuing to reconcile activity in Xero.
We'll continue to track interest and gather more input from others who'd benefit from this capability.

Bank Feeds - Streamline the authority form for Co-operative Bank account
When linking a Co-Operative Bank Business account it is currently necessary to download and print off a pre-populated form, sign and then upload. Two weeks later you (I assume this is a common experience) receive a message saying the bank account number needed to be 16 digits. You then need to do the whole thing again, this time adding two zeros to the end of the bank account number so the system can recognise it.
Ideally of course non of this would be necessary but I think the piece of paper itself is a Co-Op problem not a Xero one.…
1 voteHi Carolyn, thanks for raising this with the community. We can see how a simpler way to connect Co-operative Bank accounts could make getting started with bank feeds much easier.
At the moment, the setup process for some bank feeds is determined by the bank's requirements, which may include completing and submitting an authority form before the feed can be activated. While waiting for the bank feed to be approved, you can import bank statements manually using CSV files to keep your accounts up to date and continue reconciling transactions.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If you'd like to share more, it would be helpful to know which part of the setup process caused the most friction, whether it was the forms, the approval timeframe, or something else.

Bank Feeds - Automated email notifications for bank feeds issue
Xero to send out an email reminder for when a bank feed either needs refreshing, has an issue, or is due, and tag as many other users of your choice in that email.
1 voteHi everyone, thanks for raising this with the community.
We can see how email notifications for disconnected or expired bank feeds could help users stay on top of issues and take action sooner when a connection needs attention.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback and better understand how proactive bank feed notifications could support your workflows.
Please keep adding your votes and sharing more detail on how you'd like these alerts to work.

Bank Feeds | Check Dates - Ability for Xero to autopopulate the check with date and payee
Currently, a check written is downloaded in the feed with the date the check cleared and no payee name. It would be fantastic if AI could read the check, enter the payee and the date the check was actually written rather than the date it cleared. That would save the user from having to look up the check on the bank website and manually editing it so that the bank reconciliation is actually correct.
2 votesThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Idea’s David. We can appreciate the need for AI to read the details such as payee and date when the check was written. We’ll start to track support in your idea from the community, here.

Bank Feeds - Update existing line when Revolut expense sync
I have a linked Revolut Business account. Transactions are showing up correctly. The issue comes when an already reconciled transactions is marked as expense in Revolut (and adding an invoice). Those expenses comes as a separate transactions in Xero.
The expected behavior is to update the existing transaction and add the expense info (attachment, category) to it.
1 voteHi Stefan, thanks for raising this idea. We understand why automatically matching Revolut expense syncs with existing transactions could help keep your bank reconciliation cleaner and reduce manual review.
Currently, when synced expenses create separate lines instead of updating existing records.
I’ve updated this post to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking feedback and gather more votes.

Bank Feed - Update wording when selecting a bank account
When adding a new bank account the client needs to tick 'don't select' on all the other accounts which can be unsettling if these accounts already have bank feeds. There must be better wording for this, or remove the need to tick 'don't select'.
2 votesHi Saara, we can see how updates to the labels or instructions in the bank feed connection flow could help make setup clearer and reduce the chance of selecting the wrong account.
We'll continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product teams.
