Subscription Invoices - attach as pdf
We receive an email each month with a link to the invoice, which we can then print to a pdf to download & attach to another email to send to Hubdoc or Xero Bills.
Many businesses have a 'do not click links' policy.
Please attach the pdf invoice to the original email to save all your users those extra clicks.

How could the product manager possibly think it would be okay to have no way to automate bills for Xero's own subscription? I thought e-Invoicing would do it, but no, you need to be VAT registered for that. If the bill was attached to the email as a pdf, at least I could forward it automatically.
This is a shocking oversight that shows Xero's contempt for small businesses.

Seriously Xero - this seems like a basic feature gap given your Hubdoc integration - when will it make it on to the product roadmap?

Please attach the PDF invoice standard to your billing emails.
We let our invoices flow through a approval system and currently we have to manually download to invoice instead of automatic forward to the approval system.

We use Pleo as our expense management tool and currently Xero is one of two providers where we have to manually reconcile subscriptions. This would be fixed via a PDF attachment.

Hi Guys
I'm pretty sure that Xero has no intention of solving this problem. I have just now signed up for e-invoicing and by Xero Invoice gets sent directly to my draft bills. Here is the location if you want to set it up as well

This seems like a really easy fix. We try to automate as much of our workflows as possible so that we don't need to touch invoices until they get into Xero yet the Xero software itself creates an immediate blocker from this with it's own invoicing system. We can add invoices as attachments when sending our own sales invoices, the Xero subscription invoices should be no different.

When Xero sends out their subscription invoice each month to subscribers, the email should contain a PDF to make it easy to drag to Hubdoc, spend money or into a recurring bill, or forward the email to Hubdoc.
By providing a link only, Xero has instilled on us what may be the slowest way of getting the bill into our Xero file.

It is very time consuming to have to download invoices, save to computer then upload to Hubdoc or similar. If attached to email you can just drag to Hubdoc on another screen.

Please address this. This should be simple and would streamline processing for a large number of clients.

the attachment needs to be included in the email so that those organizations using external APPS for extraction and approval (due to Xero not being adequate int his space) can easily forward on the invoice without having to download, save and then send on. Creates inefficiencies with no PDF attachment.

Xero knows this feature would be useful, because it has built and acquired tools that automate business tasks using attached invoices and receipts. Please add this feature, it's a no-brainer and easy to add. Give it to a newbie to help them get their feet wet.

I need a pdf version of the invoice to be sent to me with the online subscription invoice - same as when I send an invoice to my customers. I now have to spend 5-10 minutes going to the website, downloading a copy then sending it to myself so that I can print it for ATO records, and have a permanent email record of the actual invoices, not just a link to another site. Then I can spend that time doing billable work, not duplicating something Xero can do with a software setting...

Also supporting documentation. With the new system it creates a link in the email, but a lot of customers are missing this and requesting us to send the supporting documentation as a PDF. Please include this with the original invoice email.

Two years and still nothing! It does seem like a (poor) attempt at lock-in by Xero

Xero invoices are the most time consuming to process as they don't attach PDF invoice.

Opt in for einvoices - Go into your BILLS screen and you will see the option in the screen shot added and you wont need to add the subscription invoice into xero via the email or any other way like hubdoc either.
Once you have done the above go into the subscription & Billing area, select Manage Subscription, select the menu BILLING ACCOUNTS to the right of the name there are three dots click on that and select EDIT BILLING CONTACT around the middle of that screen there is an option for xero bills to be e-invoices, check the box put in your abn and confirm. - It works like a dream, I get all my clients to do that as well, and the ones I hold the subscription for I have done it as well.
