Apart from sending a copy to yourself (or being able to review what was actually sent), it would be good to be able to send a cc to anyone so they are aware where the return is at.

Have the ability to send a copy of the actual message/links sent to a client to our own email when we we send something for e-signing via Xero Sign. Adobe sign has this option.
This would help us because:
1. It is a professional requirement to keep a copy of all correspondence sent to clients.
2. It also would help when they call and have a question about what to do if you could have the exact copy in front of you to step it through with them.
3. When they dispute what was written in the text part of the email (eg we told them to make a payment), we have no copy and can't access or retrieve what was sent. -

Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to add dates to individual lines of an invoice. Currently our team are focused on improvements to new invoicing and we want to be upfront we don't have any plans for adding a date column to the details grid within an invoice atm.
Right now if you do require dates for individual line items we'd recommend adding these within the Description field of the line.
We will continue to review this as we continue to evolve the product. If there are any updates or changes, we'll share this all with you through the idea here. Thanks

Thanks for sharing through the idea here, everyone. While we do roll over the losses schedules from prior year into the new year as a losses worksheet for non individual tax returns, we understand there may be more areas which we can roll this over.
It'd be of great help and appreciation from our product team if you could share more detail of the losses you're referring to and the specific tax return you'd like to see this developed for. Thanks!

Appreciate the conversations here. The other idea linked in this conversation that we delivered on was for the ability for information to flow from the Trust Return(TRT) to Individual Returns(ITR) which is facilitated with the Trust Income Schedule,
This is slightly different in that you're wanting information from the CGT worksheet to flow through to a TRT.
Right now non ITR's will need to create a CGT worksheet after the Trust Income Schedule, we appreciate wanting to see further improvement in this space for non ITR's to create a CGT event in a worksheet. It's something we looking to implement in the future but don't have a timeframe on atm. I'll let you know here if there are any changes. Thanks

Oh finally I have found confirmation that this is affecting others. I don't understand why foreign income flows through and capital gains don't???
Surely if this can work in an individual return it can work in a trust return as well.Vicki Carlisle supported this idea ·

Just bumping this, this return looks like no care at all has been taken, and I'm embarrassed to have to give it to a client.
The prefill reports we get from the ATO is in alphabetical order!

Hi everyone, we're pleased to share that we have some work underway atm that will provide what you'd like to see here. Right now, along with work for managing duplicate bills, and providing a quick view of bills we're developing a bills upload feature where you'll be able to upload or drag & drop a file from your device to create a bill in your Xero organisation. You can read more of the detail on our blog and I'll round back to share once this is released for you all.

I've struck this with the new Tap to Pay -when an invoice has been previously part paid and the customer wants to pay the balance showing - not allowed.

Hi everyone, we've just released a change so if you're a part of a Xero practice you'll now see we've added a new ‘Report code’ column to the Chart of Accounts page, that displays the report code and report code name. This should help save you time, and easily review report codes before running report templates.

We still need the ability to add/edit in the Chart of Accounts screen, otherwise we are still flicking backwards and forwards?

Hi community, I'm pleased to share with you that the Product team are investigating the first part of this idea - to copy invoice data to a purchase order in new invoicing. There's a few other bits of work lined up before they get to this but we'll be sure to return with an update on progress once there's more news 📰
As for the second function raised here, when you raise an invoice from Projects that includes tasks, time entries or expenses, if you change the project field on new invoicing the connection with Projects will be removed. To correct this, you can either void/delete the invoice and recreate it from the project or manually mark the time entry/task/cost as invoiced.

There's so much blank space on the Contact screen - use it to show groups, and/or allow us to choose what columns to show (group, phone number, ABN etc).
Is there any progress on this? We know you use AdobeSign for this, and AdobeSign lets us cc to ourselves AND automatically sends us a copy as well.
