Appreciate the feedback, Martin. As you noted you do need to search ideas first and to create one you'll need to enter a forum and search where you'll then get an option to Post a new idea if lone of the results doesn't match what you're after.
Understand how this could be simpler and while we don't have any immediate plans on this, we;ll update you here if any are made.

Thanks for sharing this idea 🌟 We can see how an extra confirmation step before deleting a transaction could help prevent accidental deletions and give users more confidence when making changes.

And with the changes to Files, if you delete a transaction the attachment is gone forever too.

Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.
While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

I'm finding the search TOO broad - I typed in Sydney to find one client with that in the name and it also gave me all clients with an ADDRESS in Sydney!

Lock Dates - multiple or progressive lock dates are needed.
Many users ignore or aren't aware of the two lock date options so tend to put (or remove) the same date in both.
Once a lock date is removed, all prior periods are open. I am currently working on a file where I had locked 30 June 2024. Another user unlocked and edited entries. I've discussed it with them and re-locked 2024.
The user has decided to lock entries for December 2025. Then they removed that later lock date and this again meant there was no lock date at all.
If there had been progressive lock dates, when I locked 30 June 2024 and the user then locked December 2025, they (hopefully) would have only unlocked December 2025, so June 2024 could have stayed locked.Vicki Carlisle

Hi team, apologies we jumped the gun a touch on the idea here.
Like previously mentioned, right now you can attach documents and links, set flexible workpaper periods, and use basic calculation sheets in the new experience.
Currently our team are exploring how we might further enhance Workpapers with variations for tailored templates, and support direct importing of reports to improve the way data moves across your compliance steps. We'll share as we have more updates for you around this.

Hi Chris, apologies as returning to your idea here and checking in with our product team I can confirm it is not currently possible to create Workpaper packs for individuals unless they have a Xero subscription.
This is something our team intend to look into longer term, and I'll be keep you updated of any progress surrounding this here. Thanks

Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to share your feedback on this idea.
We understand that being able to see all queries at a glance within the In Progress tab would make it much easier to manage work without the extra clicks. The good news is that improvements are part of the planning for our new Workpapers solution in partnership with BGL 💃.
We’re continuing to roll out new Workpapers in phases, and we’ll be sure to share more updates here as we have them.

Workpapers - generate and attach the appropriate report automatically
In the BGL SMSF product the standard reports are automatically generated when workpapers are created/refreshed, can we have this in Xero too please.Vicki Carlisle

Hey Everyone! Thanks for the feedback on the New Workpapers experience. Xero Ask is available on the Classic Workpapers but as yet not available in the new Workpapers experience. Yes I'm finding this too - I've just searched for the idea, and there's nothing remotely similar, so the option to ADD IDEA should just be a prompt?
