Hi community, we’re sorry it’s taken so long to come back to you with an update.

We appreciate your patience, and understand the long silence may have been frustrating.

Though our team had intentions of this work, unfortunately it did need to be put down with other important focuses for inventory. At this point this isn't something we've been able to put back on the roadmap.

We recognise this may be disappointing, especially after our previous update. We still see value in your idea and hope we’ll be able to address it in the future. We’ve moved it to Accepted as a longer-term consideration, and we’ll update this post if that changes.

    This is such a disappointing (yet not unsurprising) update.

    But hey, we've got a colourful log in screen, so yay ... meanwhile, i'll continue to waste more time with extra clicks and faff updating product pricing individually. Sigh.

    Yes. Its altogether too common an requirement to update pricing.

    Here I suggest futher embellishments to the original request:
    a) ability to make the selling price a multiplier of the cost price by a specified percentage. Effectively to set the margin.
    b) the ability to set pricing for a range of products; using wild card type pattern matching of the product code.
    c) choose to increase by a multiplier of the current selling price or by a multiplier of the cost price.

    Yes, its possible today to extract the inventory catalog to a spreadsheet and there set the pricing however you like. but the ability to do so within the app would be a time saver and also inline with the varying skill levels of the user cohort.

    In response to putting this on the back burner, please cut back or stop the cosmetic changes to the software and instead please focus on the functionality.
    This is just one seemingly basic request being fobbed of again while the login page gets a swoosh is beyond annoying its downright rude and dismissive of your users real needs.
    Do better.

    If we had a calculated Percentage option between the purchase price and sell price set on an inventory item, the price of an item then could automatically change by updating purchase price then the sell price would automatically increase as well, keeping your margin at the percentage you want.
    If you were to update xero to change the price increase on an item in bills straight to the inventory a calculated percentage markup would increase the sell price as well.

    A very important feature that we would use for our business, with a large number of products and regular material increases from our suppliers (at minimum annually at the EOFY), it would save me hours of work, would be great if this could be addressed soon!

    This would be a very beneficial feature given the increase in cost of living. seems we need to increase our prices more often.

    this seems like a very easy feature to add, and it would be very time-saving.
    We should be able to batch-increase item prices by a percentage at the beginning of the new FY, also whenever we have a material price increase

    This would be very helpful as prices are rising all the time and at the moment having to do this manually is hard when you have many items.
