Purchase orders - Leave delivery telephone number blank
Why does the delivery telephone number autofill with the business telephone number?
I put the delivery name and number in the attention field of the delivery address in contacts. When the purchase order autofilled the name, with the name and number, I have been cuting and pasting the number across from the name field to the telephone field.
Now new purchase orders is auto filling the telephone field with the business number which is not always the delivery phone number!
It looks like the contacts part of xero needs to have a dedicated place for a delivery phone number for new purchase orders to point at. Or leave it blank!
Also, the usual complaints of everything being too massive and using the full width of the page is infuriating, but we all know those complaints are just shrugged off. Xero now looks like baby's 1st accounting package. It's embarrasing.
I've also encountered bugs but after spending a lot of my time reporting bugs in the past to be completely ignored I won't waste my time being your free beta tester any more.
Sorry to hear the frustrations in the idea here, and I do want to acknowledge and thank users that have taken time to report things that aren't working as expected to our Xero Support team while we can't always commit to an immediate fix this does help our teams investigate and identify if there is an issue which gets shared back to our product teams.
In terms of the direct idea here on the delivery phone number, we appreciate that you've found ways of working around this using the Attention to field. The autofill of the delivery phone number with the business number was an intentional change to help with many user efficiency and save from having to fill this in manually. I want to be upfront that we don't have plans to change how this behaves but will continue to keep an eye on the interest from our community in this here.

I agree with the previous feedback regarding the recent Purchase Order layout changes.
The full purchase order should fit comfortably on one screen. With the new layout, there is noticeably less visible working space, and I am unable to easily view the totals without scrolling. This makes processing and reviewing purchase orders less efficient than before.
I have also noticed that when creating a purchase order, the account code is initially displayed. However, once a quantity is entered, the account code disappears and must be re-entered. This creates unnecessary extra steps.
More broadly, some of the recent display changes across other pages feel busier and more cluttered. While I understand that systems evolve and adjustments are part of that process, it is not always clear that some of these changes is a improvement. Thank you 🙂
