Purchase Orders - Reduce the total value or show the remaining outstanding balance on the Purchase Order Overview when partially billed
We were excited to see the new Xero feature that allows users to mark a partial purchase order as billed. However, we are confused that the total amount of the purchase order remains unchanged after a portion has been marked as billed.
As a result, the outstanding amount shown in the Purchase Order Overview does not accurately reflect the remaining balance to be billed. It would be much more useful if the purchase order total or outstanding balance automatically accounted for amounts already marked as billed, providing a more accurate view of what remains open on the purchase order.
Thanks for explaining how this feature could be improved. We understand the request for purchase orders to show the remaining value or outstanding balance after a partial bill has been created. Having this information available in the purchase order overview could make it easier to track outstanding commitments at a glance.

I completely agree with the enhancement to have the remaining values decrease automatically as line items are allocated against a Purchase Order. Even to a point (at a later stage), a report of the unders and overs regarding pricing differences if they are applicable.
In addition, it would be extremely helpful if there were an option to print a Purchase Order that reflects the remaining outstanding line items still to be received. I appreciate that this may need to be an additional print option, as the current PDF correctly represents the original Purchase Order that was created but not all staff creating PO have access to Xero to go back and double check this status.

I was so excited to see this feature be launched how ever I agree, basically pointless without the total remaining and the total of all purchase orders currently issued. Would love to keep it all on xero and let go of some spreadsheets
