Inventory - Option to turn off back order capability

Please can we have the option to opt out of back ordering and negative stock. This has been a common option in Sage for many years. You have only just introduced negative stock and forced it on us whether we wanted it or not!

    Can I ask who in their right mind decided to release such a massively-impacting feature and just turned it on for everybody without regard for existing business processes? As a software developer, I think it's absolutely ridiculous that a massive feature is put in place without the option to turn it off.

    Gosh, this is dangerous. I have just been asked to give a stock list from Xero and I have noticed all the negative stock numbers. Before when the person used to create invoices, they were not able to invoice if there was no stock, for obvious reasons. Now they have clearly just gone and approved the items anyway, resulting in negative stock and we can't just get stock from down the road, it is shipped from overseas, so simply placing it on backorder is not a viable option. This needs to change.

    It is considered critical to our business that the option to turn this off is available. Our integrated systems, processes and contracts do not allow backorders and having this open is leaving us open to human error that will cause further issues within our supply chain. Please reconsider your plans to not make this an immediate option.

    Important from management control point of view. As trackable and non-trackable feature already available to take care of respective inventory types.
