New Purchase Order View - Add and remove addresses manually
The new PO rollout has removed the ability to add AND SAVE an address manually.
Previously we could manually add an address and SAVE IT - meaning that it could be re-used while needed. Now we can only add a "Once-off" address
As a builder, we send PO's with Site addresses, not addresses existing within our saved Contacts.
This means I now have to either create a "Contact" just for a Site address
OR
Manually type the Site address EVERY SINGLE TIME I create a PO
We URGENTLY need the ability to create, save and eventually remove manual addresses within PO's again
Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to see this idea move along and for those that it impacts this is highly important.
I'd like to share that delivery address updates within Purchase orders are in the process of rolling out. Already with 50% of customers and soon to be with all.
Once available you'll find the options of being able to edit existing, add new address that is saved or add a one off address.
Please know your feedback here has been highly valuable to the team and this change. I will come back to confirm when this is live to 100% of users.

We have this same issue too, and it's a problem! We have old delivery addresses saved that, if someone accidentally selects that, we'll lose thousands of dollars of stock if delivered to an obsolete business address. We absolutely need to be able to edit/delete pre-existing delivery addresses.
Thank you. -

This is also a feature that we require reinstated immediately. The new address book is a massive operational hinderance.
Addresses should be saveable and editable. The layout is also messy.
Please fix this ASAP.

HUGE issues for us with delivery addresses in the new PO layout.
There is the ongoing issue of needing multiple delivery addresses for one client which seems absurd to have not been addressed.
Now add to that issue:
1. Single line for viewing the delivery address means we cannot see if the address is correct.
2. Lost ability to edit a delivery address in PO
3. Need the ability to save individual addresses for delivery without attaching to a contact again.
4. Supplier name is no longer pulling through
5. No preview option on POs
6. Loss of view of multiple email addresses
7. Lines added to PO require a Cost Code now. We often use Lines to highlight things to suppliers. Now this does not work.
SO many issues in the new PO layout. This new layout combined with the HUGE requirement for multiple delivery addresses renders Xero borderline useless to us. Multiple delivery address in standard in most accounting systems. It is bonkers to still be facing this issue with Xero.

We completely agree.
It needs to be modified asap.
Another poor decision by Xero. -

Yes, please rectify this issue asap.
We used to be able to edit and save delivery addresses in PO's (which we also use for work orders).
We are constantly needing to update the address and now with the new PO set up we can't edit.
We have to redo the address each time there is a change. -

Please bring back the ability to add in a delivery address within the PO. I am also having to type in a site address every time! Very frustrating

We also need to be able to edit the actual delivery address within the purchase order. There was an instance whereby the delivery address was added (prior to the changes made) but the postcode has to be amended, as it was entered incorrectly. We can't edit nor delete it, instead we have to raise a new delivery address within contacts but the delivery address is not a supplier nor customer, it's a site address. Also as we cannot delete or amend the original entry, this one remains within the delivery address selection but all of our staff have to be mindful to select the one with the correct postcode as we cannot delete the incorrect one.

We need to be able edit the pre-existing delivery address within the PO, which we used to be able to do. Prior to the changes made, we could edit, delete and add a pre-existing delivery address within the PO. For example, we have a delivery address which was created prior to the changes made, to which we assigned a contact person, tel nbr and lengthy delivery instruction. That delivery address now has a new contact site manager / tel nbr, nothing else has changed, but we cannot edit the delivery address within the PO, we have to make up a whole new address within contacts.
Please could you ask your developers to make it possible to amend or delete the information within a pre-existing delivery address. Also, we want to be able to create the delivery address within the purchase order and NOT have to make an address within contacts, as they are not a customer nor a supplier! -

Yes we need to option for multiple address. You can only add 1 delivery address to the contact but we have multiple sites for various clients. The addresses already loaded in the PO list are not saved within the Customer contact file either?

Total agree, we need to be able to add, save and edit the delivery address within the PO and not have to save to contacts. It's so annoying now that this option has been removed.

So completely agree. This is a nightmare change and so unnecessary. To be able to create addresses and then to delete them when they are no longer needed is just so important. Please, please, please bring this back 🙏

Just came across this and send a message to support. So angry that this option has been removed. Needs to be added back or have the ability to go back to the old purchase orders until they sort this out.......
