Thanks for everyone's feedback on your experience with auto bank rec, here. The aim of this feature is to improve and build more efficiency in your reconciling your bank account, however we understand and appreciate feedback here on where users would prefer to more control and options, as well as the option to dismiss the banner.
Right now, as some in the thread have noted auto reconcile can be turned off for each of your bank accounts at any time. From the main Bank Reconciliation screen, click on the ‘Auto-reconcile’ settings button to manage your settings.
We're currently looking into more controls and settings for auto reconcile that may better suit needs shared in this thread, I'll round back to share more on this as it develops.

We really need a date restriction in Hubdoc to stop it posting into 100 years earlier. How it even interprets 20/10/23 as being 1923 is crazy. Ideally the lock period in Xero would link through and limit what can be done in Hubdoc, but in the absence of that functionality it should be able to be set in HubDoc

Hi Vicki, we understand how having assessment tracking for Trust returns, similar to NOA tracking for Individual returns, could help monitor outstanding assessments.
We appreciate the suggestion to use existing return indicators, like trustee tax payable, to help surface tracking statuses automatically.
We’ll continue to track the interest and feedback shared here.

Hi and thanks for sharing this idea!
It’s great to get such specific detail on how the visibility of group names impacts your workflow, especially when navigating between multiple screens in XPM.
I have moved this into our Gaining Support category.
This means other members of the community can now vote on your suggestion, which helps our product teams gauge interest and prioritise future UI refinements. We’ll keep a close eye on this one to see how much traction it gets. Thanks for helping us improve the XPM experience!
Kind regards

We're interested to understand the interest in being able to add multiple emails to a clients record, for the purposes of setting these up for different purposes.
It would be great to hear more detailed feedback from our partners on the particular purposes you'd want to set up emails for and how this would help you through Xero's practice tools. Thanks!

It would be great to have the ability to add some lines with description and amount to reflect an adjusted estimate. Currently when I prepare amendments I need to manually review the previous estimate/assessment and calculate the amount actually needing to be paid on assessment. Then when the assessment is actually issued I need to redo the calculation again to check. If we had the extra fields we and the client would be aware of their actual liability to pay just by looking at the estimate.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback regarding YTD line items on payslips. We understand that "Other previous earnings" groupings can cause confusion for some employees.
In Xero Payroll, any earnings that haven’t been included in the current pay but were paid previously in the financial year are grouped and shown as Other previous earnings.
While we don't have plans on our immediate roadmap to change this feature, we’ll keep voting open to track interest for the future. In the meantime, you can access a detailed pay item YTD breakdown via the Payroll Activity Details and Transaction Listing Details reports.

Hi Gay, just wanted to return from my last update. While this is something our teams took a look into, it's not something that's been planned for the time being.
For now, we'll continue to get a sense of the interest from your idea here. 🙂

Yes this is something that bugs me too - usually most of the codes are fine as they are, I just want to accept them as reviewed without having to either (a) select all in a certain category then go in to Edit them (even thought they don't need editing); or (b) do them one by one.
We have the option to bulk select already, just need an approve or review button.
The other thing is that if it's all been fine up to now and we've left a bunch of accounts in the 'to review' because option (a) above is time consuming, when we add an account, it is lost in the listing without any way to identify new accounts (eg date added).

Hi everyone, we appreciate all the attention and interest this idea has received. This has not gone unnoticed and our product team understand the importance of these estimates for practices.
There is a bit of complexity involved in being able to achieve this, but we'd like you to know this is something our teams are looking into.
As soon as we have any updates we'll be sure to share with you all through this idea. Thanks 🕵️

564 votesHi community, we appreciate the continued traction this idea's received, and do want to provide clarity and set expectation.
Your feedback has been valuable in understanding the needs of using description only lines to; add subheadings, provide context for grouped charges, and ensure your invoices are easy for your clients to read and understand.
To reconfirm, atm - You can add one-off description only lines as you enter an invoice. However, if you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you'll need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.
- We know some users have set up and saved inventory items for description only lines they commonly use, however as the item code field is used for inventory items the line of the invoice is treated as 'financial' meaning you'll then need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax…

Just to "provide clarity and set expectation", we as the users have an expectation that features that were previously in the Classic Invoicing, should still be available.

Hi everyone, we appreciate how quickly this idea has picked up traction from the community here.
As you've likely heard through other communications we're in the midst of rolling out a unified Client experience as part of our wider Xero Partner Hub.
With the new Client experience you can now;
- Create a client without a TFN, as the Create Client flow has been updated to capture only the basic details
- The TFN can be added later by clicking Edit once the client is created.
- If you do try add a TFN that already exists on an archived client, an error message is displayed - you can get a view of what this looks like in my attachment
Thanks again for sharing with us here and I'll be back to confirm when this new experience is live to all practices.

Can we please have an optional Organisational Setting in Hubdoc to ensure Hubdoc does not create or post items with dates earlier than the lock date in the Organisation?
This should prevent Hubdoc using a date like 1925 when using the date picker.
