Thanks for starting this conversation. When a cost is allocated to the wrong job, having to delete and recreate it can be time-consuming and can add extra steps to keep job costs accurate. An option to edit or move a cost between jobs would make this much simpler and reduce rework.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams for consideration.

Hi Jocelyn, appreciate the suggestion. Relying on a single Master Admin can create a bottleneck and adds risk if that person is unavailable. We understand that allowing multiple Master Admins would help share responsibility and improve continuity across the practice.
At the moment, Master Admin role is limited to one user. However, you can look into the Administrator role for the meantime. I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams.

Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.
While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

Thanks for sharing this idea and explaining the value it could bring to your practice.
We appreciate you taking the time to help us understand the benefit of being able to choose which fields are mandatory on the client profile in Practice Manager, especially where practices need more consistency in the information collected for different client types and workflows.
We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue to track interest and better understand how this would help practices in day-to-day use. If this capability would improve your workflow, please add your vote and share more detail about which fields you’d want to make mandatory and why.
Your feedback helps our team understand the problem and shape future improvements.

Hi everyone, we appreciate how quickly this idea has picked up traction from the community here.
As you've likely heard through other communications we're in the midst of rolling out a unified Client experience as part of our wider Xero Partner Hub.
With the new Client experience you can now;
- Create a client without a TFN, as the Create Client flow has been updated to capture only the basic details
- The TFN can be added later by clicking Edit once the client is created.
- If you do try add a TFN that already exists on an archived client, an error message is displayed - you can get a view of what this looks like in my attachment
Thanks again for sharing with us here and I'll be back to confirm when this new experience is live to all practices.

Thanks for continuing to follow along and join in the support of this idea, community. To reiterate on our last update we appreciate and understand the need in being able to easily view an employees' leave balances when reviewing leave.
As already spotted from comments here, I'd like to share an update with the release of projected leave balances in Xero Payroll Australia. This feature has just been rolled out to Payroll admins, where you'll be able to view an employees estimated leave balance when adding, editing or approving leave. You'll be able to view a calculation breakdown and will see a warning when a leave request may result in a negative balance. Helping you to better assess and manage leave for your organisation. 😁
We understand this feature is desired in other regions we offer Payroll and we'll continue to consider how this may be adopted in other…

Hi team, we appreciate your engagement here and wanted to provide you with an update.
There are many good suggestions shared in this thread on how to currently process this in Xero. Alternatively, you could create a bill to make and track these payments. Employees can then review their balance directly with the scheme provider.
Atm, the changes required to implement this aren’t on our road map, however we’ll continue to monitor the support for this idea. We'll be sure to keep you updated if there are any changes in the future.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this idea.
We want to highlight some existing functionality that could help streamline this process: on the Cover page of a return, there's a toggle that allows you to switch between the Agent’s details and Client’s details.
Additionally, within the address section of the return, you can toggle to the client's address. Once you've successfully filed a tax return with the client's details selected - Xero remembers this preference. The next time you create a return for that specific client, their details will automatically be the default, saving you from having to manually change it again.
Though we'll continue to monitor popularity of this idea, we want to be upfront that we don't have any direct plans around the pre-fill behaviour at this time. We'll share if there's any change in status surrounding this idea.

Hi community, I know it's been some time since our last update here. Though we're continuing to follow and track the interest in automatic calculation of wine equalisation tax within Xero, for the time being this isn't something we've planned.
As some may have received detail from our support team on there is a way we suggest you can record your WET liabilities and credits within Xero - See our post on this discussion for the detail. Alternatively, there are app partners you could explore on the Xero app store.
If there are any changes around this we will be back to share with you all on this idea.
Xero needs to introduce an option to stop employees from entering into negative leave balances based on company policy.
It is laborious, opens up exposure to errors and therefore cumbersome to expect this to be checked by employee or payroll officer each time a leave request is submitted.
