Hi team, thanks for the additional insights to those that have shared via the poll in my last update - You can still rank the importance of stats with us anonymously through the link here. 😊
It's truly valuable to get this feedback from customers to understand what insights would be most valuable for our customers to see and action on quickly.
Right now we don't have immediate plans, but we'll take these learnings into future planning to continue to develop automated bank rec, and I'll share if there are any updates with you all here.

Hi team, we recognise that staying on top of disconnected or expiring bank feeds is important for keeping workflows running smoothly.
We hear that having a dedicated view or alert on the Practice Homepage would make it easier to manage bank feed refresh across clients, rather than only picking up issues when working in a specific file.
This is now in Gaining Support so we can gather interest and share how this could make day-to-day practice management easier.

It’s clear that manually checking each client organisation to see if a bank feed has dropped out can take up valuable time.
We hear you that a central view or alert on the Practice Homepage would make it easier to spot connection issues across your client base and address them before they affect month-end work.
As mentioned, surfacing this in a homepage widget would reduce the need to check individual files and make it easier to stay on top of feed status.
I’ve added this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share with our product team how this at-a-glance visibility could improve day-to-day practice management.

Thank you for this excellent and detailed suggestion regarding NZ tax returns and tax pooling payments.
We can certainly see how clients would find it confusing when their prepared tax return in XPM doesn't reflect payments they have already made to a provider like TMNZ or Tax Traders. Your idea to add a note or a specific field on the return to record this amount would be a great way to provide clarity and manage client expectations.
We're grateful for your engagement and for letting us know the changes that matter to you. We've reviewed your idea and now it can gain support from other community members.
Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how this feature could improve their practice and client conversations around tax payments.

Hi community, we've started this request to gauge specific interest in enabling staff to request access to a Client within the unified experience.
Stemming from this original idea, this isn't something we have direct plans of at this time, but our product teams are staying close to the ground on what our practices would like to see developed and will consider this in future planning. 🙏

Hi Nic, thanks for sharing this idea. We can see how helpful it would be to paste invoice details straight from a spreadsheet. It'd make the process faster and easier, especially for longer invoices.
For now, one option is to use the Import feature. By pasting your spreadsheet data into Xero’s CSV template and uploading it, you can create invoices in bulk. It’s not quite direct copy-paste, but it’s a quicker way to handle larger invoices.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support to understand how many of you would find this useful. If you can, let us know what tool you’re copying from and which columns you’d most want to include, your feedback will help guide what we look at next.

It would be good to have the option of having the sender name in the invoice file name. This would make it easier for recipients to identify and retrieve invoices from their filing systems.

Hi everyone, we've been following your comments and recognise that having a streamlined way to get timesheets from a spreadsheet into Xero Payroll would be a huge time saver.
One option is to explore some of the connected time-tracking apps in the Xero App Store. While we know this isn't a perfect substitute for a direct import feature, it may help bridge the gap in the meantime.
The good news is that we see the value this feature would provide and we want to explore it further. We'll change the status of this idea to Accepted.
We'll let you know if there is any movement on this.

Hi, the original suggestion was about XPM rather than Xero Payroll. The ability to be able to import timesheets via csv/excel to XPM. Under XPM/Business/Settings/Import it is possible to import a range of things, for example Costs, but Time isn't one of those options.

Thank you for the interest and feedback you have shared on this idea, everyone.
We'd like to provide some clarification of what is currently possible which may help some users here, and have slightly adjusted the title with the main request being around the ability to add registered office address as a field to a Clients record.
Within the new unified client experience you can add multiple addresses to a Contact of a Client. While there isn't a specific option for 'Registered office address' you can select 'Other address' or choose from one of the preset (Street, Postal, or Delivery) options.
At the client level, we appreciate individual Contact addresses may differ to the Client registered office address - Our product team are now working to add registered address as a field for 'Company' type business structures and I'll return to share news of it's release with you all here.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your engagement here. Your insights are essential as we look to improve Xero. We understand the value of a more streamlined way of working.
Right now, your current options are to request documents and information from your clients using the existing queries feature in Workpapers. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
While we don't have this feature on our current roadmap, we'll continue to monitor this request, and make sure to keep you updated if there's any progress.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea 🙂
We can see the value in this, managing inter-entity loans more easily across entities in Workpapers, especially where you’re trying to match balances and reduce manual cross-checking. We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so others can vote and add their use cases too. The more detail you can share about how you’d use this in practice, the easier it is for our team to understand the impact and prioritise future improvements.
This is something that’s on our radar, but we don’t have a timeframe to share right now. We’ll continue to monitor the feedback here and will update this thread if there’s more to share.

Hi team, I'm happy to let you know that we’re working on a new Xero Workpapers solution, within which practices will be able to grant staff the ability to see all workpaper packs for clients they have access to 😊
In addition, it offers more control over staff permissions within Workpapers, including the ability to restrict certain actions to just administrators or reviewers.
We've just started rollout to Australian partners with more regions to come in the new year. Thanks again for your feedback and we'll post another update to confirm when released to all Partners.

It would be even more useful if XPM could pull live balances and transactions from tax‑pooling providers (TMNZ etc). Right now XPM only sees IRD data, so the tax return always looks “unpaid” even when the client has already deposited the funds into a pool. A simple read‑only feed showing pool deposits, transfers and available balance would remove a large amount of manual reconciling and avoid clients being told they “owe” tax they’ve effectively already set aside. Given that the government's set to extend the availability of tax pooling shortly, it's an issue that's going to get bigger.
