Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.
Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

Thanks for your support on the idea, everyone. We thoroughly appreciate your participation, and letting us know where you'd like to see change across Xero.
Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Currently, while we have plans for modernising this space soon we cannot commit to any new developments for Statements until this work has been complete. Once this has been done I'll round back to the idea here when we can reset the objectives.

We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.
I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products. As a community team we're advocating on your behalf constantly to see where ideas can be worked on, and this site is where our product…

Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.
We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.
We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.
As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).
We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.
That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.
In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been feedback and taken seriously by our product teams.
Currently, there are ways to record a bad debt in Xero, depending on your tax registration status and how you want the transactions to be recorded in your reports - We have help for this on Xero Central you can draw into.
We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality to develop a button to write off invoices or bills as 'bad debt'. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

I would go further and suggest that instead of a big green "Well Done! You've Reconciled Everything" when all bank feed statement lines are matched, that confirmation should display a list of any/all unreconciled transactions.
The real-world workflow/intention does have people completing the feed reconciliation and then navigating off to somewhere completely different to run a reconciliation report. For the vast majority, allocating the bank feed and getting the big green confirmation is the end of the process.
Being aware of un-presented items being an important part of that process, they should be represented somewhere obvious in that workflow. Having to run a separate report is NOT an appropriate solution.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the possible solution we shared a few months ago. After careful consideration taking all feedback on board, we will not be moving forward with this solution.
We're still considering how we might solve for the issues presented here over the long term and there are other pieces of work the team are currently delving into such as duplicate bills detection that may also help solve some needs here.
That said, we'll move the idea back to Submitted and continue to keep you updated on any progression that can help the needs expressed through the idea here. Thanks

Absolutely agree!
I'm in disbelief at the low level of support for this idea. I can't tell you how many times, I've accidentally clicked as approve then have to void and re-enter to get it as "Waiting Approval".
This would be **EXTREMELY** useful.

This refers to the same idea as referenced in https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/46028776-search-by-contact-account-number
And as I commented on that link - It makes sense that ANYWHERE I can search or filter by contact name, I should also be able to search or filter by contact account number.
What is the point of it if you can only make use of it here and there?

This also applies to searching/filtering bills/invoices awaiting payment, currently you have to use the contact name.
Realistically, you are either using contact names or accounts numbers for entry or lookup. It makes sense that ANYWHERE I can search or filter by contact name, I should also be able to search or filter by contact account number.
Really is a half finished "feature" if it's not always available. Don't think I'll hold my breath though.

Not much point to having contact groups if they can't be used to filter invoices/bills etc.
Enabling this would allow clients or suppliers of a specific payment type to be filtered and displayed for batch payments etc.
This should be a priority upgrade.

Suggest this -> https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/45224872-bills-ability-to-return-an-unpublished-bill-to-d be merged into this idea.

I'm relieved to have stumbled over this idea, as the similar one I originally had found (above) had what I thought to be an amazingly underwhelming level of support for what I think is a fundamentally essential feature.
This would be **EXTREMELY** useful.
