Hi everyone, while we appreciate your interest in a direct feature in Xero to schedule and manage loans this isn't something we have planned right now.
We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

Xero has acquired Melio, a leading US bill pay platform designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses, and accountants and bookkeepers in the US. While we value our partnership with BILL, we decided that acquiring Melio was the right strategic move to accelerate our ability to provide a seamless, integrated payments solution within Xero for our US customers. Powered by Melio, you can securely pay bills online, directly from Xero.
As previously shared in the UK customers can now pay overseas suppliers easier with international bill payments, saving the need to use multiple platforms and savings in fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once.

I’d like to strongly vote for this feature.
Most small and growing businesses rely on loans such as term loans, overdrafts, equipment finance, and vehicle loans. We manage multiple loans and will continue to add more as we grow.
Manually splitting repayments into principal, interest, and fees, reconciling balances, and tracking amortisation each month is time-consuming task. This is not an edge case, it’s a core accounting requirement.
A loan schedule feature that allows users to upload or enter an amortisation schedule and have Xero automatically record and reconcile repayments would deliver significant value to businesses and accountants.
With Auto-Reconciliation recently introduced (Dec 2025), the missing piece is the ability to upload and apply an amortisation schedule in Xero. This feels like a fundamental feature, not a niche request.
