  1. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

    It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

    When you say one click bank refresh, is there a specific place you'd be looking for this option, Martin? Currently there are some types of bank feeds that have an option to Refresh bank feed.

    However how often a bank feed updates depends on your bank and each bank does things a little differently.

    You can find the specifics for each bank feed here. It includes when they update, how often and if a manual refresh is available.

    If you think your bank feeds might not be syncing correctly, you can check current or recent bank feed delays and issues on our status page - You can also access this from within Xero by clicking on the View status updates option from your bank feed menu.

  3. It would be great if there was an option (tick the box) to copy last week's wages for the current week for payroll. I have casual staff who sometimes have the same hours as the previous week's so not having to replicate this would be great and the quickest way would be to have a tick the box which can copy it across to the current payroll

  4. Small Business Corporations (SBC's) can, under certain circumstances, depreciate assets in a 3-year schedule as follows:

    • 1st year: 50%
    • 2nd year: 30%
    • 3rd year: 20%

    See the attached document, under 4.2.

    Currently, this is not possible (I checked with Support).

    I expect this to work within Xero, as it is a regular tax rule in South Africa.

    Adding this schedule for South Africa would be extremely useful and important, as we now have to do the depreciation outside of Xero.

  5. It would be really useful if there was an options to tag or colour code invoices in the list view, so that at a glance we could see invoices grouped together for any given reason.

    For example most of my invoices are paid via direct debit, so I'd love a way to tag/colour code the invoices that have not yet signed up for the debit system, so that I can see at a glance how many I am still missing and who I need to follow up on.

  6. Allow "recurring transactions" like in Myob where those users can set a "job" code to a recurring transactions of multiple lines.. allow for a job eg. Service Vehicle. in one code. for several repeating items

    Appreciate customers use Xero in different ways, Meradene. Want to be open that we don't have any plans to remove this option, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest of this from the idea here.

  8. For setting dates on new invoicing:
    - when using the "copy to draft invoice" function, keep original date from copied invoice and not default to current date.
    - be able to type date using all numbers and not having to type month name (slows me down)

    Hi Rebecca, I've just amended the title of your idea for your first request. In terms of the second when you're mentioning the input of dates. You should find you can currently enter dates in number format, however you'll need to make sure you keep the '/' or '.' to separate day month and year, alternatively you may find shortcuts help you cut down the time needed to enter your dates here.

  9. We have dozens of parent companies with underlying subsidiaries who place separate orders for separate locations, all under the parent company's credit line/name. These all split into different contacts in Xero when they come in from our order processing system. We need Xero to support hierarchies/parent-child relationships/nested orders, so that all purchases can be aggregated to the parent company, both for tracking overall credit use and for sending consolidated statements that include all purchases from all "children". We work with BigCommerce who has a BundleB2B feature that allows these kind of parent-child hierarchies on the client-facing side, but we can't…

  10. We have a large project with countless numbers of invoices assigned to the project. I would like an option to be able to "mark all untracked expenses as invoiced" so that we can see what has already been invoiced to the client and so that we can work out more accurate profitability figures. At present, each individual invoice needs to be marked off separately and this can take hours to mark them all off, particularly if the project is large.

  12. It would make sense to rename "Mileage Claim" to "Trip KM's" or something like that.
    There are only 3 countries around the world that officially still use the IMPERIAL system (Miles). United States, Liberia, and Myanmar.
    It's a term that doesn't come naturally to the rest of the world.
    In the back of my mind, I feel that I need to do a "KM's to Miles" conversion calculation, for every trip entry. Even though I know that's not necessary.

  13. Standard layout, which is the one that clients generate and use to check their profits, shows dividends paid, Income tax expense or distributions. This makes the client very confused as these are not part of the operating expenses. Clients do not need to know how to edit or prepare a new layout to take these expenses out. Also, we as accountants can't customize P&L for each of our clients.

    This needs to be address urgently.

  14. tihs item is listed as completed, and closed for comment. A shame as it is partially completed only. Project Reports | Option to custom reports
    Please give us the option to also edit and custom project reports, I need to add fields, run reports by date and add calculation fields. Currently we have to export available reports and edit in excel, it would be great to do it in Xero.

    Either I have missed something or you still cannot add calculated fields? happy to by advised and corrected.

  15. To display the potential project margin % and variance from expected invoice and costs as baseline to compare with actual performance. OR allow the project report to be customised to add calculated fields. So staff can instantly see the potential of the project, and look to adjust if necessary before sending to quote or invoice.

  17. eInvoice option should be able to be set in a clients contact card much like the Xero to Xero network key or as an option where these options are when emailing the invoice.
    Include files as attachments
    Include PDF attachment
    Send me a copy (Email Address)
    I feel that the new changes have made things slower for Clients and bookkeeper's
    Some of the updates are not as straight forward.

  18. We are using the Xero API to post invoices from a POS system we have created.
    Our customer some large customers with multiple departments. They would like to specify which email address the invoice is sent to.

    The simplest solution would be to include the email address in the invoice data sent from our system to Xero. (If omitted, the main email address for the customer would be used.)

    A more secure solution would require that the email address be one of those entered in Xero for the customer or their contacts.

  20. It would be good to be able to search the expenses to make sure that duplicated expenses are not submitted. Also it is really difficult to see what the expense was for and what the supplier was. Also it is really difficult to change any i8nformation on an expense as soon as it is marked as paid.
