AU Payroll | Employee - View employment duration date below start date
The "Details" tab lists the employee's age under the "Date of birth" field.
Having "Employed for # Years & # Months" below the "Start date" field would be handy. It would give a quick, "at a glance" look at how long someone has been employed by a business for estimating notice periods and anticipating imminent entitlement to LSL.
Attached is what the "Date of birth" currently looks like (I've used my own name and birth year) and a mock-up of what I'm suggesting might look like.

Repeating Invoice - ability to add End Date BEFORE the next invoice date
To be able to add an end date to a repeating invoice which is before the "next invoice date". Often clients do not receive notice that a repeating invoice will not be due until after the latest invoice has been sent. They don't want to delete the repeat invoice so they can see a history of previous repeats. Currently can't set an end date that is before the "next posting date".

Transition period for non UK organisations - managed financial year end
Can the transition period for change in financial year date be added to companies that are non UK organisations as well. we have a group of companies that all extended their financial year but i have only been able to use the transition period in UK organisations. Why is this not an option in non UK organisations?

Xero Accounting App - Option to submit a Bill or Invoice for Approval
I would like to see full Xero usage on the Xero app. In this case, the ability to submit bills for approval instead of the current options of save and approve only.

As noted in the comments, users have the option to log into the web version of Xero on their mobile devices allowing them to submit bills and invoices for approval. ⭐ This allows you to perform the approval process on your phone, though it's not as seamless as a native app experience. At this time, we have to prioritize which features we bring to the mobile app. The primary focus of the Xero Accounting app is on quick, simple tasks, like creating basic invoices and submitting expenses. Complex workflows, such as bill and invoice approvals, are better suited for the desktop version due to their complexity and the constraints of the smaller mobile screen.We will continue to review and consider this…

uk corporation tax
The HMRC website lists Xero as an approved option for approved software for small businesses to submit corporation tax returns directly, from 2026.
Please can Xero implement a feature to do this directly for small businesses, as well as the current version which is only available to professional accountants through the "Xero Partners" programme?

Being able to turn CIS status off if no CIS invoice created within contact
Be able to turn off CIS status if no CIS invoices are included within contact. This allows initial errors in setting CIS contact status to be reverse.

Invoice Import Notice - Notify of new contacts created on Import
Our practice makes use of Xero's ability to import invoices to do monthly utility billing and have found Xero's feedback notice / confirm import page to be VERY useful.
On this page Xero notifies us if
- any invoices will not be imported due to errors
- invoice number already exists
- any item descriptions and/or prices differ from the Xero org's listed products and servicesUnfortunately, it does not notify the user if any new contacts will be created on confirmation, as imported invoices automatically create a new contact if a matching one does not exist.

.eml and .msg File Attachments - Preview window compatibility, like existing PDF preview
Please consider adding compatibility to preview .eml files (and .msg files if possible) that are attached to invoices (and other documents) in Xero, similar to the pdf preview window.
Emails are text/HTML so this seems achievable.
This would save time needing to download correspondences to view them, which are useful attachments in Xero for audit purposes.

display history notes in reports
I would love to be able to see the notes that I make on an overdue clients invoice in the Aged Receivable report. At the moment I am needing to update a excel spreadsheet for this information on a daily basis. It would be easier to add the note to the invoice and then pull the report if the invoice is still outstanding.

AU Payroll - Ability to edit timesheet tracking after a pay run is processed
At the moment, if an employee allocates their hours to the wrong cost centre (i.e. the incorrect Xero tracking category) and the payroll has already been posted, there’s no way to correct the allocation — even if the pay run hasn’t yet been submitted to the ATO.
This becomes problematic for organisations like ours that rely on accurate tracking of labour costs by project or cost centre. In most cases, the number of hours worked remains correct — it’s just the cost centre allocation that needs fixing.

UK Payroll - Journal summary
I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.

Add Xero to the list of "What tool are you currently using to run your business"
When creating a new organisation, there isn't an option to choose Xero from the dropdown list of "What tool are you currently using to run your business". I'm migrating from one org to another because of limitations in your PAYE scheme functionality. Right now, a user can't select Xero from the list, which may help you shed light on users who are either running into org challenges or who are power users of your tools.

Projects - Add Project Field to Find and Recode Tool
The Find and Recode appears not to include Projects so where one wants to set the Project name in the invoice or bill field based on, say, the Tracking category (This is what we need to do) there is no option other than to go through every invoice and bill and set it manually.

History and Notes report - Contact details
It would be really useful to see the contact name on the History and Notes report.
We use this report to track bank account changes but we also check newly added supplier bank account details. Seeing which contact each line relates to would help us group them and know if an 'Edited - Bank.....' relates to the same contact as a 'Created' so we don't need to go into each line7 votes -
NZ Payroll - Notification when an employee is added or removed
Can we please have an automatic email notification to the subscriber when a organisation adds or removes an employee - This would be required for the purposes of updating billing when the ability to add additional employees for $4 takes place in September 2025.
