Au payroll - Option to reorder dates in unscheduled pay run dropdown.
When there are no payruns for multiple pay runs in a row, please add a feature to allow to reset the pay cycle from a selected date. As it is, if a client doesn't have any pay runs, we need to either post/file the empty pay runs to keep on the pay calendar, or run all future pays as unscheduled pay runs, or set up a new pay calendar. Wouldn't it be great if there was a more simple way to keep on track with pay cycles?! Also, when selecting an unscheduled pay run, please reorder the pay dates so…

Short term cash flow - Expected payment date based on history
It would help if the expected settlement dates for invoices (and bills) were based on past history rather than due dates

UK Payroll - Upload HMRC notifications to employee record
We are all required to keep tax code and other notifications from HMRC for a number of years. Currently we have to do that in hard copy. It would be great to be able to upload a copy to the employee record instead.

Repeating invoice - Set Frequency for price/amount increase
Repeating Invoices - automatic price increase
We have several client contracts which include 5% price increases per annum. It would be great if you could create a repeating invoice and specify a percentage to increase the amount by on its next repeat

User Roles - Ability to filter and sort list by roles and permissions
As part of our QA, we review the list of users to check that it is up to date, eg, remove terminated employees, remove auditors at the completion of the audit or revert to Read Only, etc.
It would be great to be able to filter/sort the view by access type, such as looking only at Payroll Employees, or filtering them out.

UK Payroll - Save and Next option for Timesheet approval
Save and Next option for Timesheet approval.
Rather than having to go back to the beginning for each and every timesheet approval you should be able to save and view next in the same way you can with bills.

DOCX - Show CIS after subtotal
CIS Deductions need to show at the bottom of the invoice on advanced invoice templates as seen on the standard invoice template.

Invoicing - Xero Network remember based on last send for contact
“Send via Xero Network” feature in your invoicing system, which have negatively impacted our workflow and client payment behavior.
Since the update, this option now appears at the bottom of the invoice, while the sending process begins at the top. This disjointed placement is not intuitive and often leads to it being overlooked. More importantly, the system does not remember this selection, requiring us to manually enable it every time we send an invoice.
This has had a direct impact on our cash flow. Since the update, we’ve noticed a significant drop in timely payments. Many of our clients rely…

Manual Journal page - TAB after date should go to auto reverse date
Come on Xero, this should be the flow already, the tab position after entering the date should go to the reversing date, we accountants enter a lot of manual journals that are reversed and it is a pain in the **** to have to mouse click on the auto reverse date to be able to enter the date...
This is a easy fix, this is just the tab index in the page...
3 votesThanks for sharing this great idea, Leandro. We can see how changing the keyboard tab order on the Manual Journal screen would make entering reversing journals more efficient.
We've moved your idea to the 'Gaining Support' stage. This means it's now visible to the wider Xero community, who can vote and add comments to show their support. This collective feedback is a key way our product team gauges demand for new features.
While your idea is gaining support, we wanted to share a couple of other related ideas that you and other supporters might be interested in:
- There's an existing idea to have the reversing journal automatically update when the original journal is edited. You can find it here: Manual Journals - Editing journal with auto-reversal to update related journal/s
- For a potential workaround in the meantime, some users explore third-party browser extensions which can offer more customised keyboard navigation.…

VAT - VAT report by box number for monthly/periodic analysis
We have clients where a sigificant proportion of their sales are Zero rated, which can significanly affect both net and VAT totals in certain boxes as well as the overall value in box 5 to be paid/repaid.
Could you create a report that allows the totals in boxes 1-9 to be listed, allowing comparison with prior months or periods or years.
This will be useful to see, say, the last 3 months or the corresponding prior year amounts so that percentages can be reviewed.

Reports - Shortcuts for navigating Financial Statement Reports
Shortcuts for Financial Statement Reports
It would be extremely helpful to have shortcuts to navigate financial statements.
E.g. 1 would go to the first page of the report, 2 would go to profit and loss, 3 to balance sheet etc. this would assist with quickly switching between different reports in the financial statements.4 votesHi Emile, appreciate you sharing this suggestion for specific shortcuts that would improve efficiency when working in reports. This idea is open for fellow community members to support through voting and comments.
We also have an existing idea for more shortcuts in Xero - we'd encourage you to also add your vote to that broader idea here: Navigation - More keyboard shortcuts in Xero.
Voting on both helps us in two ways: it shows our Reporting team the specific need you have, and it also contributes to the overall demand for more keyboard efficiency across all of Xero.
Thanks again for your valuable contribution to the community!

Packing Slips - Remove the word 'Invoice'
Until recently when I saved a packing slip the default name was eg 'Packing Slip Inv - 4080'.
Then recently after you dated your system the packing slips are now called eg 'Invoice Packing Slip Inv - 4080'.
Can you change it back to remove the word invoice as it can cause confusion and staff may send the wrong document to suppliers and customers as both look like invoices.
I am changing the name manually but it was simpler and clearer before Xero added the word 'invoice'
If you can change it back that would be great and I'm sure…

Invoicing - Move multiple rows at a time
Move multiply rows in invoice template and insert multiple rows in invoice template
2 votesWhile we don't have any work planned for being able to move multiple lines at a time, I've slightly adjusted the title of the idea here for this specifically, and we'll continue to track the interest for adding multiple lines at once from this idea.
If there are any plans made we'll share update on each idea respectively. Thanks

e-invoicing - Support for bulk sending
E-Invoicing
Is it possible to set e invoicing up at customer contact level. This would then allow me to bulk send my invoices as I currently do, rather than one by one2 votesThanks for sharing, Sarah. We don't support bulk invoicing for eInvoicing atm but it's on the teams radar. If any plans are made for this we'll update you here.

New invoicing - Don't open new tab when clicking the contact
Dont automatically open a new tab when clicking the contact link in the new invoice or give option to turn this off.
There is Alt+click shortcut on all browsers to do this already.
Making this auto open as default leads to too many unnecessary tabs and attributing to a more messy workflow8 votesThanks for your detailed feedback, everyone. We do find that customers have differing expectations of how clicking a link should behave.
With the current behaviour, opening the contact in a separate tab means that users don't lose any information they may have entered in the invoice.
We don't have any plans for changing this in the near term but it'll be good for us to continue to get a sense of the interest around this from our community here. If there are any changes that may impact this we'll share an update with you all here.

Reporting - Receivable and Payable Credit Note reports
Create a Receivable and/or Payable Credit Note Report which lists all credit notes issued/received, and the corresponding invoice they are linked to. This will help as when a credit note is issued the status is 'paid', however if I want to do a review of invoices and days until invoice is paid, I want to be able to exclude items that have been credit noted.
1 voteThanks for sharing your idea.
For now, the closest thing we have is to use the Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail (or Summary) reports.
You can use the Filter option on Source, to only show credit notes. However, the existing reports don't show the invoices/bills they're allocated to.
It's now up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

New invoicing - View in files library when uploading and option to return to library
In New Invoicing, I need the ability to view the files in the file library prior to attaching them to an invoice, as I can do in Classic Invoicing. This is because when received into the file library, the files aren't always in the same order as they were scanned. I tried attaching a file using New Invoicing and it wasn't the right file and, because I couldn't return the file to the file library, I had to rescan the document back into the file library. Without the ability to view files prior to attaching them to the invoice, users…

Email-to Bills - Use the contact's default currency
When sending invoices to Xero email address, the currency defaults incorrectly instead of taking the currency already set for the contact. We expected the contact’s currency to be applied automatically at the stage of creating the invoice, but this is not happening.

Inventory - Set default prices with tax inclusive/exclusive treatment
I have entered selling prices excluding GST but have noticed that some personnel have been invoicing inc GST yet xero hasn't adjusted the price of the item to add 10%. I need the item price to be the same either way of invoicing.
Can we make this happen some how ? so the price of the item is the same either way. MYOB manages to adjust it, you just set the price as either including or excluding and it adjusts it automatically when charged out. Maybe Xero should aim to improve this aspect of the program.
1 voteHi Kelly
Thanks for this suggestion. You're right that currently the tax inclusive/exclusive setting on the invoice would change the overall invoice total.

In the meantime, you might want to tell all staff to enter invoices with the same tax treatment, to avoid accidentally under/overcharging for the same item. If you create all invoices on a tax-inclusive basis, you can enter the default sales price for your items including GST. Otherwise, you would need to enter the prices excluding GST.

TPAR Setup – Missing Country Code Field for Overseas Suppliers
In Xero’s current TPAR setup, there’s no field to enter a country code for suppliers. This becomes a problem when reporting overseas suppliers. I received a validation error from the ATO: "The Postcode field is 9999 therefore the Country field cannot be blank or a country name other than Australia must be entered." To prevent this issue and simplify reporting, it would be helpful if the Country field auto-filled with "AU" by default, but remained editable for cases involving international suppliers.
