  1. Whilst creating or editing "normal" bills, archived Products and Services don't appear in the Item pick lists to choose from. However, when creating or editing Repeating Bills ALL the Products and Services appear in the Item pick lists, irrespective of whether they're active or archived.

    With many Products and Services archived (we have to renew them all annually), this makes the resetting of our Repeating Bills very labourious and makes the chances of making errors many times greater, as we can accidently choose archived Products and Services.

    This looks to be a bug in the system that needs rectifying quickly.

  3. Needs 'Are you sure' pop up for Deleting Contact Files

    Its too easy to accidentally delete a file attached to a Contact. Needs to be an 'Are you sure you want to delete ...' pop up when deleting.
    Especially as it also doesn't populate in the history/notes section that anything has been deleted.

  4. There should be an ability to set up an intercompany account using the bank feed function between businesses that are 'connected'. This would save countless hours manually journalling transactions. You should be able to create a transaction in the bank feed, or mark an invoice as paid by the intercompany account and the corresponding transaction should show on the respective other company.

  6. When using the Leave Paid out on Termination feature in xero, the paid out leave is recorded in the Holiday Leave Accrual category. This means we are unable to run a report showing the value of unused entitlements paid out on Termination. This is important information for Workcover Reconciliations etc. Please set up a report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination.

  7. Set Cheques up properly for Canadian Companies.

    Canadian companies should be able to print cheques properly at the bottom, and we should be able to use blank cheque stock.

  8. A section for CIS suffered as like the current CIS deducted would be really useful. The reporting for CIS deducted is great and helps records for monthly PAYE. A similar section on the CIS suffered side would be great - checking through separate ledgers and updating RTI filings is manual in contrast.

  9. Switch Banks from the left sidebar. People need to go to Dashboard, click a bank, then have access to the drop down menu of banks, but this is slow and not as useful as having all the banks and credit card accounts listed on the left sidebar with ability to switch.

  10. In the new Fixed Asset Register it would be extremely helpful if I could enter my chart codes to set up the asset accounts then 'tab' to the next piece of information instead of having to click onto the account to have it enter into the field. For accountants who use their charts day in and day out and have them memorised, having to manually select the code is a right pain! Some of these new improvements you are making are really causing extra time for us to be able to do our jobs.

  13. There is an issue in payroll where you will get a rounding error due to other pay items such as Leave/Holiday.

    e.g. Salary £12,570 per year
    Paid in May the calculations are as follows:
    1685.692935=£956.41308 Rounded: £956.41
    8
    5.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54
    8*5.692935=£45.54348 Rounded: £45.54

    Total = £1047.50084 Rounded Total: £1047.49 instead of £1047.50

    This should be corrected somehow to use the correct number before rounding as the final calculation. The rounding can either be ignored from the line items, added to the first line item (the total pay) or added as a new line item specifically for the rounding…

  14. Background: We are a chapter-based organization with almost 50 chapters. Each chapter is a 501(c)3 organization and uses Xero as its accounting software, meaning each one is treated as an individual organization in Xero.

    Every week, as the PM, I need to report on the health of each individual chapter. Currently, this process involves me manually switching into each organization's dashboard, checking if their bank is synced, identifying any unreconciled transactions, and recording the date of the oldest unreconciled transaction. This currently costs me ~1.5 hours per week.

  15. When paying bills through Xero there should be some warning box to state this will not take money from your bank account. This will be recorded in Xero however you will need to make payments from your bank account.

  16. The ability for an employee to be able to enter the number of kilometres travelled each day. This number being able to filter through to the pay run so the employer can pay an allowance of cents per kilometre.

  17. Xero Expenses - In multicurrency expenses there is currently no ability to add more than one image/PDF to an expenses claim.
    We have many employees who travel for long periods of time or for certain jobs and need to be able to submit one large expense claim with multiple line items and also provide a photo/PDF of receipts for each of these items. But currently you can only upload one image per expense claim.

    On top of this there is no ability to set a different currency as the default currency for specifics employees which would be a helpful feature…

  18. We need to upload an Approval Matrix/Approval hierarchy with a scope depending on "Location" and "Total amount" with 2 levels of approvers for "Expense claims" (EC) & "Purchase Orders" (PO).
    With that, we are looking for automation on sending the EC & PO automatically by the system to the correspondent Approver depending on the scope through email.

    Thanks for your idea, Micaela. Expenses and Purchase Orders are quite different transactions types in Xero. 

    We try to keep one idea per thread here so we can get a true view of the interest for that specific functionality. I've slightly adjusted the title of your idea to represent Expense Claims but welcome you to start another for Purchase Orders specifically where we can track that too 🙂

  19. To create a credit note from an invoice without applying it to the invoice.
    Currently the only option is ‘create and apply credit’.
    We refund first then generate the credit note. So we need to allocate the invoice to the customer receipt, then allocate the repayment to the credit note.

    Generally this is a time saving mechanism, not having to then apply the credit to the invoice. Appreciate the detail of your workflow Susan, as definitely makes sense in what you're trying to do here. 

    We'll start to get a feel for the interest around this here, and in the meantime - Not sure if it still suits your flow however if viewing invoices from the Awaiting Payments list, if you don't need to open the invoice, you could use the 'New Credit Note' option from here. 

  20. Can we have complete name of Chart of Account in Xero Expense. For eg, from screeenshot attached, we have x3 different Meal Chart of Account but as i can't see the complete name of the chart of account i have to go to different screen to find the right code.

    If we can see/have complete name of the chart of the account when submitting/editing Credit Card receipt that will be super helpful
