Financial Reports | Notes/annotations - Ability to link to schedules
Allow Pop-up Notes to link to added schedules in Reports
In the layout of a Report, you can add a schedule which can be numbered and appear at the bottom of the report. When you go back to the main report and look to add a note you should be able to link to the Schedule. Currently, you can only link to text notes.
Interestingly the text notes do get renumbered when you add a schedule but you can not add a note to reference the schedule.

Balance Sheet - Separate by contact
I do have to raise sales invoices to different clients and receive inward invoices from vendors.
For one of them, if I want for the single contact (to whom I raise sales invoice and receive purchase invoices) to be displayed separately in financial reports as receivable / payable.
Presently, in the balance sheet all the receivables are displayed as account receivables / payable under a single head.
Can we group this single contact in such a way that balances are displayed as a separate contact in balance sheet and not is default group Account receivable / Payable.
2 votesThere's no way to do this in the Balance Sheet. Is there a reason the Contact Transactions reports aren't of use? Or could you explain a little more of the needs this would solve for your business?

Contacts - Ability to create transfers between contacts
Could there please be a facility to post journals between contacts (either supplier or customer) for example between BT Telecom and EDF energy
Currently there is only the facility to post journals between nominal ledger codes.

At present - if the transactions has originally be assigned to the wrong contact this can be edited.
Understanding more of the use case may help us find another solution for you here, although I don't want to be open that we don't have plans for enabling transfers between contacts.

Credit notes: Apply credit to item price
We sometimes get Credit Notes which change the price of the items. We don't want to credit the whole item, simply want to adjust the price but Xero doesn't seem to have a straightforward option for this.

Repeating Invoice - Ability to change description in bulk
Global change of description on repeating invoices - some folk have same text but include current month before sending - currently required to edit each invoice to achieve this
4 votesHi team, we don't have any plans for developing the ability to bulk update the description of your repeating invoices right now.
To help your work flow here, you could include placeholders so the description contains the current month. Dynamic date placeholders can be added to the Description and Reference fields of repeating invoices and bills. The placeholders will then insert the specified detail into the invoices and bills when they are created.

History & Notes | Files - Record history event when a file is deleted
The functionality in Xero that shows a file has been deleted in the History and Notes section of a transaction.
Currently if a file is added to a transaction and then deleted, under the history and notes section it still shows there was file uploaded, but doesn't have an audit trail that it was subsequently deleted.

Files - Ability for user who uploaded to lock a file
Our firm would like to utilize file storage within Xero for our clients, but we have a few suggestions based on how we use our current platform for files. We would like to see that the person uploading a document to the files can lock the document so that other users cannot delete it (i.e. minute book), that the documents stored in the files are live (i.e. live spreadsheets) so that items don't need to be constantly downloaded and uploaded and mass downloads for when a client is being offboarded.

Contacts - Highlight contacts
In our old system, before we moved to Xero, we could highlight special clients (they were a different colour). In our case, they were special because they paid their account off in instalments, instead of paying a lump sum. This made it very easy for us to separate them when we sent invoice reminders to the rest of our clients. How we have to do it in Xero now is clunky and manual. :)

Fixed Assets | Depreciation schedule - Ability to set font size
Font size of Depreciation Schedule
The more assets the smaller the font gets, Some columns can be taken out,but we do not want that. There should be the flexibily to choose portrait & landscape and over how many pages the schedule will be generated.

UK Payroll - Holiday Pay Adjustment
Lot of employee are working overtime. Holiday should be paid adding the Holiday Pay Adjustment. This means that overtime, certain allowances and commission plans will be included in the first 20 days of leave taken in any holiday year. To put this simply, you should be no worse off financially by taking your holiday. So if you earn commissions, claim certain allowances or work overtime these will now be considered as part of your holiday pay adjustment payment. Financial Statements - Option to add Opening balance when using schedules in Notes
When creating a schedule in the Notes to the Financial Statement, at present you can't include an opening balance at the schedule level, only once you have created a group within the schedule. It would be useful, if this could be done. Other reports like the Statement of Changes in Equity do have this option, so it should not be difficult to include this.

Bills Report - Change so most recent bill is at the top
When I select a supplier or customer, the list of invoices start off with the date I started using xero 2013.
Could we change this to make the most current at the top of view instead of scrolling to the bottom.
The way I currently view is:

Xero Expenses - Allow one off expense claims without purchasing the "Expenses" subscription
Allow casual, one off, expense claims WITHOUT needing to purchase the "Expenses" subscription.
I am the treasurer of a Men's Shed and, occasionally, members use personal funds (either card or cash) for Shed expenses, generating an expense claim. These are rare, usually one off, and might not occur again.
Could an exception be allowed for this, within the software, that would allow a one off expense to be recorded? This could then then trigger the need to purchase the "Expense" module if that person had any future expense claims within, say, 12 or 18 months.

Quotes: Choose default quote screen
I work a lot with quotes and 99% of the time I am interested only in Draft quotes. So I select "Draft" but everytime I select a quote to change it, after I close a change quote screen and I return to the list of quotes, the list is shown again with "All" quotes. Why doesn't Xero keep the selection criteria to re-show the list? I literally have to re-select "draft" hundreds of time per day. It doesn't make sense to me... The same applies to the search criteria in the top part of the screen. If I want to…

Tax Rate - Don't change Tax Rate if Account Type is change
Stop Xero from automatically changing the Tax Rate of an Account when the Account Type is changed. It's so annoying. Offer/suggest, sure. But don't do it by default. No, I do not want to change Wages & Salaries from BAS Excluded to GST on Expenses just because I change it from Direct Costs to Expense/Overhead or vice versa. Such a dumb default setting.
