AU Payroll - Allocate annual leave, sick leave and superannuation to a Project/Job
Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.3 votes -
Subscription - Make billing clearer, including an itemised breakdown
Xero billing: Please make the packages pricing clearer on the monthly invoices.
i.e. please add the package elements breakdown. It doesn't have to be a separate line item, it could even just be added to the text description, but showing one price, as per the invoices from xero, does not explicity explain that there is a breakdown for items mentioned. Seeing this clarity on the monthly invoices is very helpful for ensuring transparency from xero to its customers. Xero me receipts added to Invoices
I use Xero Me to upload expense receipts and assign to a client. I rename the photo of the receipt so that it should be traceable. The expenses are then visible when I create an invoice for that client. All good so far, however, there are two things that could be improved:
There is no option to add the receipt file to the invoice when the expenses are added. Very often clients want to see the original invoice when expenses are charged back at cost.

Sales - Complete POS solution
Hi i can't believe you don't have a POS app tablets for use in cafes and shops. a quick google api for databasing while offline and it would be solid as. you only need to support a handful of thermal printers and cash draws. just look what vend is doing. it would be a huge product if deployed correctly

Xero Login - Enable Passkeys as a replacement to passwords
Passkeys (https://fidoalliance.org/passkeys/) are rapidly taking over passwords and are infinitely more secure than passwords.

55 votesHi team, we've just launched passkeys to our first group of users. From this week, Xero Me app users who haven't set up MFA yet will be able to use passkeys to log into Xero. Xero Accounting app - Reinstate ‘I want to be repaid’ option to How Did You Pay field

14 votesHi community, while we appreciate you raising this with us here I want to confirm that there are no plans to bring back the 'I want to be repaid' option in the Xero Accounting app. This option was connected to classic expenses which has been replaced by Xero Expenses where we have a separate app where employees can submit these expense claim type receipts through. If you're not familiar with Xero Expenses just yet, you can find more on this and how to get set up through Xero Central.

Purchases - Ability to apply a deposit
Deposits on Sales and Purchases - will this ever be possible in Xero? The workarounds are fine if you have a few deposits to keep track of. But what if you have many? Like my Art Gallery client where most art is sold on a 'layby' system. The layby isn't recorded as a sale until it is fully paid. The customer makes multiple payments. There is no way to directly link the payments to a pending sale. They all coded on-mass into a prepayment liability account. The only way to keep track of payments is a spreadsheet which is time…

Reporting - Show filters applied
When a report filter is selected, the filter should be displayed on the report that is displayed/printed. Eg if you use employee groups and you filter a payroll report by said group, the printed report should display the filter chosen

New invoicing - Ability to view as tax exclusive (when entered inclusive)
In the "New version of Invoicing" disappeared an amazing function - when you open an invoice after it has been approved, it always displays as tax exclusive, even if you entered it as tax inclusive. In the new version if you approved an invoice tax inclusive it ONLY shows it as tax inclusive. Can you please add the feature of seeing both versions of the same invoice.
And another feature that disappeared in the new version is to see account number, not just the name of the account. Can you add it back too? Dashboard - Add staff calendar to Dashboard
There is a good calendar in payroll that I would like to add to my dashboard so I can keep up to date with daily requirements and also see availability of staff including when they will be on leave from my dashboard

Investing in AI
I think the time has come to invest in AI, as a accounting software leader (Xero). Many people invest their money in AI software, like accountants, to do better / more accurate and faster budgets, forecasting (cash/accrual) mixed with different scenario's, transaction reconciliations and presentations of data/information and graphs. This usually in excel; outside the accounting software, where mistakes are likely to happen. I am not in IT, or software development/integrations, so I do not have an idea what this type of investment would cost, but my gut feeling is it would be worth it.

AU Payroll - Ability to reverse pay run
An option to do a reversal of a current pay run as currently there is no option to allow this. I had a pay run today and the client had not let me know that there was a change to their pay run until after it had been lodged with the ATO. I subsequently went to the portal and found that both pay runs had been processed as was out to the actual amount in Xero.

Repeating Invoices - Don't reset Qty to 1 when editing inventory items
Due to the fact that "Updated inventory selling price is reflected when the next repeated invoice is generated." (Please vote for this idea too) has not been implemented. You need to manually go into every repeating invoice and reselect the (same) inventory item for the price to update to the current inventory price. I think it is a bug, but support tell me it is the designed way. The existing QTY gets reset to 1. This is super annoying as you need to remember was the existing QTY was and then update it again and not make mistakes. If you…

Repeating Invoices - Use updated inventory Unit Prices on repeating invoice templates
When you update the inventory selling price of an item you expect that this is reflected when a repeated invoice is generated. This is not currently the case. The price is ONLY updated when you edit the repeated invoice. Please have an option box on the repeated invoice that allows inventory price updates on generation. Currently waste hours and hours and make mistakes every time an inventory item changes price. Logged support cases about this for years but trying here now. Huge time saver.

New Invoicing - show 4 decimal places on invoice (i.e. R44.1309)
I want more decimal places on the Line Amount and Invoice Total to display as follow:
1.7568 x 25.12 = 44.1309I can get it to show 44.1300 but I want to set it up to show 44.1309

Billable Expenses - Assign single line items to separate contacts
Hi there, I would like to be able to assign line items (that are the same) on a bill to multiple customers.
i.e. 2 x oil filters, assign ONE of each to separate customers without having to enter them on separate lines on the bill to do so.
Also, when creating an invoice and viewing "items to assign to a customer" I would like to be able to see the Supplier AND their invoice number in that list.

NZ Payroll - Ability to display annual earnings on payslips
Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!
Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.
