Manual Journals - Add a Reference columnMANNUAL JOURNAL Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number. Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries.... 5 votes

Reports - Option to use pay periods dates rather than payment dateI would prefer that the dates displayed on the Payroll Activity Details & the Payroll Employee Summary reports are the beginning and of the pay period. 
 I have found that some of my clients get confused with the way those reports are currently issued, using the payment date.5 votes

Contacts - Option to exclude contacts from marketing notificationit would be great if there was a tick box for being to select if a contact wants to be excluded from marketing contact. if there was a tick box, it would be handy to be able to generate a report showing those who you can contact and those who have opted out, and being able to export that data to excel. i know xero is a finance platform rather then a direct crm however it just seems that for small businesses especially this would be a great tool and as xero does generate reports and exports to excel anyway… 5 votes

Invoicing - Ability for customers to update their email addressesIt's not possible for customers to update their own email address eg if we send an invoice or statement to an old email address and they want to change it. Would be good if customer could update it and we just verify it. Or some kind of automated form they get to speed updating it. 5 votesAppreciate how enabling your customers to update their own contact information would be helpful and save steps to keep accurate information and interact with your customers. We don't have any direct plans around this atm, however we'll continue to track the interest this idea builds through the community and share if there are any updates.

Dashboard - Add aged debtor watch list to DashboardIt would be good to have the ability to add a customer watchlist to the dashboard so that businesses can see when customers have overdue invoices or reached their credit limits so credit credit control can be improved. I personally don't like the email reminders as that doesn't work for our business model so I feel like a watchlist on the dashboard would be good. 5 votes

UK Payroll - Better connection between Xero and NESTXero and NEST do not always link. For example a client of mine has a pay date 15th September (pay period 15/08/23-14/08/23). This gets sent to NEST from Xero using a pay reference period 15/09/23-14/10/23. This results in the submission showing in the period following the current period on NEST. I have spoken to NEST and they advised that Xero is incorrect and need to change the pay reference period to match the pay period so the file is submitted to the correct period within NEST. Please can this issue be rectified to avoid manual submissions having to be made. 5 votes

NZ Payroll - Generate invoices from pay runsAutomatically generate payment invoices when creating payroll. 
 The current help article suggests creating spent money entries on the fly when reconciling.
 It would be better to be able to generate accurate payment and separate code tax invoices when the payday is filed.
 The advantages are that:
 - the payment is reconciled to where it is created ensuring it is correct,
 - the invoices are easily selectable into batch payments from payable invoices which correctly connects to bank batch payments,
 - payments to IRD could be raised to different contacts for each payment type allowing the right references to be attached…5 votes

Bills List - Add a Description columnHow do I adda column showing the "Description" to the columns of Bills...?? 5 votesHi all, while we don't have any plans for adding description as a column to the bills list you may find it a bit easier to view the bill details now using the quick view option. From the list view you'll see an eye icon that allows you view all details of the bill without having to navigate away from the list screen.

Expenses - Feature to identify if a transaction is tax deductibleCreate a feature to identify whether an expense is tax deductible or non-tax deductible under Bill, Expense, and Journal. This will be extremely beneficial to the SME Accountant when preparing tax computations. 5 votes

Reporting - Text justification optionsIt would be great if we could adjust the justification of text in financial statements. Yes, each to his own is accepted but some like the left indent and some like the evenly justified (which just looks neater). Here's to hoping it can happen. 5 votes

UK Payroll - Don't update previous payslips when employee details changeOld payslips should retain the correct postal address for the employee for that time period. Don't update the previous payslips, just move forward with the new address for new payslips. People use their payslips for various different reasons, and tracking/validating their address history etc can be one of them! 5 votes

Sales Overview - Add column with invoice line detailsadd column in invoice overview. Hi, I was wondering if I can add a column in the program in invoices overview. When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include. Now when I go to a customer and would like to check how much I charged for particular job and I don't know when it was done, I need to open each individual invoice to see description. My invoices usually include one to three lines and would be very helpful to see in one of the column… 5 votes

Checks - Only capitalise the first letter of the City on US checksChecks (cheques) cut for Xero US subscribers should print addresses accordingly. Not all the letters in a City need to be capitalized. City not CITY. Furthermore, there should be a comma after City. And if you use the Attention feature in the Contact Address, it should print as the first line in the check address. Currently it prints as Vendor Name, Attention: Jane Doe. That makes for a very odd, confusing addressee on the check. 5 votes

AU Payroll - Include Salary Sacrifice amounts when calculating HECS/STSL deductionsWhen a staff member has a HECS debt or other Student Loan selected AND is salary sacrificing - the Student loan amount is only calculated on the GROSS amount AFTER the salary sacrifice however when the staff member has gone to do their tax return, they have a tax bill because the ATO looks at the taxable income as an amount INCLUDING the salary sacrifice so via Xero not enough PAYGW has been withheld - can this be amended? 5 votes

Contacts - display unpaid invoice on top only under client/contactAbility: Xero only displaying the unpaid invoice up top under client/contact ----- same as former Xero version - PLEASE change this back it was perfect and it is very much not userfriendly now Purpose: quick overview of the account i.e. which invoices are unpaid and what was communicated last Current issue: with the new changes all client invoices are displayed on top, this clutters the view and is useless information, the old invoice (old and paid) don't need to be visible on top. The current invoice status is important i.e. what is not paid. It is clutter to display all… 5 votes

Payroll UK - Increase the number of employees from 200Are you likely to increase the number of employees you can have in Xero to more than 200? We don't want to move from Xero but may have to if the numbers can't be increased. 5 votesHi team, while we appreciate you raising the idea here, the cap of processing payroll for 200 employees is to prevent any issues with your user experience - Going over this could slow down the payroll function, and create difficulties when you run payroll reports. If you do need to process larger payrolls, we suggest taking a look at our third-party providers in the Xero app store that can serve your needs and handle larger payroll data.

UK Payroll - Automatically detect payroll payments during reconciliationPayroll/Wages Payable Reconciliation 
 It is quiet difficult in Xero to find out wages payable error done because there is no system of matching wages payment with the payroll journal at the transaction allocation stage.
 e.g. as we get the suggestions to allocate a payment received against an invoice, it should be similar with the wages.
 If there is any over/under payment it will be detected at the transaction allocation stage as there won't be any matching payroll transaction existing. This feature is there in MYOB. This is the only reason where I find MYOB better than Xero.
