AU Payroll - Bulk upload all details for new employees
Can we please get a upgraded bulk upload new employee feature that the template is not only for the basic personal info but also optional to include TFN, bank account detail, super account, emergency contact, leave type, pay template etc. basically uploading one file and the employee is read for payroll

New Fixed Assets - save default sorting settings
In the upcoming new Fixed Assets layout/section, if you sort a heading (Asset name, asset number etc.) it only remains for that particular session, if you close out, it'll default back to sorting via the Purchase Date when you re-open.
Proposing this remembers what the user selected.
Also if you select "Items per page" it only displays that amount of items for that session, then defaults back to 10 after re-opening.
Please make it remember the user's chosen setting.

Invoice Auto Numbering
We use our own numbering system as well as the xero auto numbering system. For customer invoices that pay cash, bacs or on account we use our own numbering system that originated from before we used Xero. I just amend the invoice number section on xero when a customer invoice is produced. I have always done this so no issues with that. We use the xero auto numbering for customers that pay by debit credit card. So everyone that pays by card during the day all get added to that one invoice. But the auto numbering system on the new…

AU Payroll - Tracking Categories for Wages Payable Transactions
Given that we are now can add employees into different tracking/groups on Xero.
It works well when we post a pay run and it puts all transactions in Wages expenses, super expenses, PAYG W and super payable, but not Wages Payable. Seems odd that it doesn't.3 votes -
AU Payroll - Set default leave types (paid out/not paid out)
Currently, when you assign a leave type to a new employee, for all leave types other than annual leave and personal leave you have to go into that leave type on the employee card and manually change the leave settings to what should be the default for all employees. For example, RDOs should always be paid out on cessation of employment, but the default setting is "not paid out", and I cannot change the default setting, only each individual's settings.
I should be able to set what the default settings are, to reduce the likelihood of stuffing it up.

Sales Invoice - Show Subtotal Breakdown before VAT
Layout of invoices with subtotal breakdowns for various VAT rates. To be able to present multiple subtotal amounts before various types of VAT are applied to the invoice. I have included an altered pdf file as an example of what you would want to see on the invoice.

Reports - More detailed bank transaction report.
Add a more detailed bank transaction report.
It would be nice to generate a bank report that allows you to see the accounts booked in details. For example, if one transaction has multiple accounts, I can see what accounts where used and what amount. this would make it a lot easier to look over and control if you made some mistakes or did not included bank fees in the transaction.3 votesHi Ester, have you tried he Account transactions report? Send an email when a draft invoice (or bill) is created automatically.
When a draft invoice is created automatically, I want to be notified. By definition/design, it needs human attention before getting approved and issued. So I would like a human to be told it has happened.3 votes -
Payments - Autofill for writing cheques/payments to the same Payee/supplier
When writing Cheques or payments would it be possible for an auto infill/ recall of the previous payment made to the Payee/Supplier, this would save time if the details are always the same and only the amount may vary, it would ensure that the correct/same account is always used giving consistency.
Should any of the details differ then these can be input as currently but an auto infill would save me an awful lot of time as I don't have a bank feed to all the bank accounts I oversee.3 votesAppreciate it's been some time since you originally started this idea, John - Just to confirm what you're asking here. Cash flow - add invoice or bill number to "What" description
Can the bill or invoice number be added to the description shown when Xero automatically adds it to the short term cash flow. See picture for item added manually where we add the bill number and then item added by Xero where none is shown. This will really help where we have multiple items for the same customer/supplier for the same amount.

Invoice - Show delivery address under business name
In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.3 votes -
Batch Payment - Allow the "Reference" field in bill payments to overwrite the reference field in the batch payments file
Currently when creating a batch payment, the bank payment details fields (Particulars / code / reference) are all drawn from the payee's Xero contact details page.
payment of some bills require an invoice number in the bank payment reference field (rather than just an account number), and this also helps to track which invoices are paid for companies with frequent / varied billing + auditing bank transaction list records.
It would be great if either:
a) For a specific bill, Xero reads the invoice number and places this into the "reference field" within the bill payments screen (usually works) AND…3 votes -

I run a braille transcription business and must submit braille files along with invoice. I would like to send all from once source, Xero, rather than in a separate email. Attach .cdr (CorelDraw) and .B2K (Braille2000) files (other file types, too).

Reporting - Consistent terminology (e.g. Accounts Payable reports refer to Bills as Invoices)
There's an inconsistency between different parts Xero systems. For example:
New Invoicing has Autosave.
New Contacts require us to use the Save button.Reports:
Accounts receivable reports refer to Invoices.
Accounts Payable reports ALSO refer to Invoices ... Xero terminology for Payables is Bills.Is there a reason for these differences and lack of consistency across the Xero platforms?

Reporting - Add Update button to bottom of page
Add an additional Update button to the bottom of Account Transactions report page (or any screen with an update button). Right next to the Save As and Import buttons would be excellent.

Navigation - Remove extra step when changing organisation
For those of us that have multiple entities in Xero - Somewhere along the way an extra step (click) has been added when changing from one entity to another, you can no longer just choose your required entity from the drop-down menu (in the top left-hand corner), but now have to click on the drop-down menu and then click 'Change organisation' to show and select your entity.
Are we able to remove this unneccessary extra step (click) and have it back how it was originally?
