  2. currently we put all of our mileage through as an expense claim and then make a bath payment once it is a certain amount, however when creating the batch payment, the report produced at the end just simply stated expense claim. this can be clicked to go in individually however it would be nice if the description for that expense could also be shown so that it produces a better overview of what is being paid. even if this is just an option to add different columns that it can be selected from, that would improve things.

  3. I have a particular client where we use tracking categories. We have set up a tracking category called jobs so hours and expenses can be allocated to these jobs. However, errors occur, and it would be great to be able to reallocate find and recode just like you can do with other times to move those hours or expense from one job to another.

  4. Tracking codes cannot be defined for "Minor adjustments", normally used when an invoice payment is incorrect by a small amount. These minor adjustments should be recorded against a P&L "rounding" account, but then when running a P&L across different Tracking Codes there are then always "unassigned" entries.
    To that end an ability to define a tracking code at point of creating the minor adjustment, or to edit one in from the "rounding" account.

  6. Show pay items (hours) per day on pay slip. So the employee can check hours paid on given day in the pay period and are able to easily check their pay/hours against there records. In my case employees don't have access to timesheets in Xero but even if they did would make it easier to check in one place

  7. Ability to customise how data is entered - decimal places. To speed up data entry the user should be able to have a setting where they can opt to have the decimal place automatically entered. I.e. type in 12345 and the result is 123.45

  8. We need the ability to sort the data in the VAT Report table.

  10. The Quote information should come forward on the invoice whether you are invoicing from the Quote or invoicing from the Project Amount OR the deposit amount needs to show when invoicing from the Quote.

    It doesn't make sense that if someone pays a deposit, I have to use the project amount to invoice but have to re-enter all the quote information (our quotes are broke out in areas with a dollar amount for that area to be invoiced).

    If I use the Invoice from Quote, then the deposit amount doesn't show. I then have to work around the deposit that…

  11. Contacts. I would like to say the upgraded version of contacts is clunky, and would prefer the older system over this 'new upgraded' system. Having to 'save and exit' before adding all other contact details is adding more steps to an otherwise simple process. Thanks

    Hi Vashte, appreciate change can take a little getting used to.

    However, we can help you out here! While the Save and exit is always available when adding or editing a contact you can simply click through each section. 

    The detail you enter between section will hold until you leave the page - So, you can enter in all your details before selecting Save and exit. 

  12. I have a client moving to a different platform for accounting but still needed a stand alone payroll platform for 23 employees and Xero does not offer this so we would be paying for all the other functionality that we won't be using to stay on Xero for payroll

    Hi everyone, though we appreciate the feedback we've received from you on plans here - as you'll have had communication of, with the launch of our new plans we made the decision to no longer offer a Payroll Only plan.

    Payroll is now offered within our Grow, Comprehensive and Ultimate plans that you can read more detail of what's encompassed with each on our website.

  13. We have started working with a new bank and they use OFX v2. It seems Xero only supports v1.
    Would be great if Xero can support this new version of OFX.

  14. Customisation of ETP preferences to allow drop down menu for rate of pay as only lump sum payment is currently available. Example: terminated employee to receive 2 weeks pay in Lieu of notice. It would be helpful to have the option for Rate per Unit rather than a Fixed Amount only

  15. Would be great to have the ability to attach docs to an unreconciled line under the discuss tab. Eg when you have the receipt, but waiting on answers to reconcile. Would save a lot of time not having to track the invoice/doc back down again. Would be ideal if it would auto attach it when you have all the info to complete the recon.

  16. In addition to the bank account name showing on the bank reconciliation report, it would be good to also show the account number. This would make it easier to match the bank statement with the bank account in Xero.
    For example, my client may have it as Business Account 1, Business Account 2 in Xero but the actual account name is ANZ Transaction Account, NAB Cheque account - so easily being able to match the account number when checking period end balances would make it much quicker and easier.

  17. It would be great to be able to filter the fixed asset list by the various categories but especially by asset type.

    For example, I have 500 assets and am trying to pick out just the Office Equipment to dispose of 30 assets, but I am having to search for each individual asset rather than just look at a list of the Office Equipment.

    Hi community, we appreciate the original raising of this idea some time ago. To be open, with STP2 now released and majority of organisations having already updated their employees we want to be upfront we don't have plans for making this change.

    HI community, thanks for your support here. While this isn't something we have plans for extending comparatives beyond 36 periods atm, it'd be good to get more detail on the ideal # of comparatives you'd be looking to run the report for, and what this would help your business do - Please do comment to share your views. 

    Other options you'll see you have with the new report, is that you can change the comparative period between Day, Month, Quarter or Year.
