  1. When copying an existing invoice to a new invoice, the reference should not be copied over as well or the user to be given the option to not copy the reference number to the new invoice.

    There are many times, reference number is not updated or removed and then needs to be fixed at a later point.

  2. Like it says on the tin. Why do Xero send an unnecessary EPS each month when its not needed? If I want to change my payroll, great send the EPS when I approve it. If I make a late payment, send the EPS once I've finalised the payroll. But please stop sending pointless returns which makes me wonder what Xero is doing filing unnecessary data that is more likely to cause problems with HMRC than not given their systems.

  3. Attaching a file from the Xero Library to the new Sales Invoice template. Files saved to a folder within the Xero library now show ALL files rather than just the ones unattached, so you have to sort through all of them until you find the file you need (the attached ones were not shown in old invoicing). This is taking longer to process.
    I do sort the files in submission date order, but when you have up to 50 per month submitted it takes a while to scroll through the already attached pdfs.

  4. The Contact Financial Details Reference field used to be populated with the last reference entered for a customer in the Customer Invoice Batch Clearing reference field. I have many customers paying by ACH or Zelle and have the same reference information each week. For my customers that I have had for a long time the reference field is copied from the Contact Financial Details Reference. But for any new Customers this functionality does not work and the field is blank in Batch Clearing. So I have to enter the reference for each blank line on the batch. Please add the…

  5. When reconciling, it would be helpful to see if an attachment has been added, and to preview that attachment if so, rather than having to open the bill and then click on the attachment, then causing to lose the info on the reconciliation page.

  6. To attach proof/evidence of multi receipts/payments when that batch is a mix of invoice and also pre/overpayment, credit. We can attach to a single type of action, but not mixed. Keeps things tidy and also much quicker to see what exactly was in a batch, than to go back to a physical document holder

  7. I have worked with an accounting system that allows many rows e.g. description, Qty, Price, Account and Tax rate to be copied from Excel (at a go) and pasted to create an invoice, Journal etc. This saves a lot of time.

  8. When adding an invoice we can add an amount and make it either Vat inclusive or exclusive using the drop down box.
    Currently this box is on the left side of the invoice layout..why not have it on the right next to the total box as it was in classic view?
    It would be more user friendly!

  11. Bank feeds are critical to a business's accounting system.
    Detail on those feeds is also critical.
    BOQ Specialist (AU) (and I'm sure other banks) provide deficient bank feeds to Xero.
    See the difference between the (unmodified) imported statement lines and the bank feed statement lines on the image.
    The bank feed statement lines only say "Online transfer" which is about as helpful as saying "transaction".
    The imported statement lines say Online transfer and then the bank narration, which is much more helpful.
    Xero Support suggested I speak to the bank - great idea, waste my time speaking to a customer…

  13. Hi Xero Support,

    So basically, I would like to generate P&L by Tracking Category only for those categories which have activity during the month, those which have no activities (zero transaction), I would like to exclude it. So, my reports will be not too long and comprehensive.

  16. When uploading an expense claim, Xero should auto populate data like date, organisation, amount to cut down on data entry and mistakes.

    Appreciate you confirming that you were referring to this from the desktop version, Kelly. I'll re-open the idea here. It's not something we have plans on at present but will track this here, and let you know if any change i s planned.

  19. When reviewing an expense claim, it would be ideal if the attachment (receipt) could fill the left side of the screen, so we can see the full receipt.

    Scrolling up and down to view information is tedious, so having the attachment displayed in a fixed area with an option to zoom in when needed would make the process much smoother.

    Currently, the view shows the top third only, so it misses a lot of information.

  20. Having an option to customize the details on the main "Expense Claims - To Review" screen (Business > Expense Claims) would be very helpful. A “detailed view” option, allowing key information to be seen at a glance, would streamline the approval process by reducing the need to open each individual claim. Specifically, seeing if an attachment has been added, with the ability to hover to expand it directly from the main screen, would significantly speed up reviews and approvals.
