  2. Give the option of adding company sick pay entitlement, which counts towards sick leave, and then when company sick pay is exhausted, revert to SSP.

  3. Ability to set default reporting options (default to show account numbers, specify no. of results per page, your own date preferences), along with favourited reports - but have it linked to your Xero user profile rather than the client's file.

    I work on multiple files a day and don't want to change their file settings - but manually changing to my preferred reports every time the page refreshes is exhausting.

  5. The ability to choose what items to include from the invoice on the packing slip. This means I can select not to have freight and set-up charges on the packing slip as they are not actual items being sent to customers.

  6. In the old Xero reports as part of the management report, it was possible to run a report that showed month by month actuals for the FY to date then the budget month by the month for the rest of the financial year to give a full year forecast.

    However, in the new Xero reports, this functionality has gone. Try and write my own report but the dates don't update automatically regardless of the reporting date you select (as confirmed by a Xero specialist)

    So I can write a report that shows 4 columns - Jan - Apr actuals, then…

  7. Can the new bank summary report have the option of adding in the imported statement balance for each bank account. This would provide a quick way of checking which accounts need more work rather than having to check each reconciliation report for each bank account when there are multiple bank accounts (I have 10+ and it is arduous having to run each reconciliation report just to check the balance)

    Hi everyone, while not a direct solve for the idea here we wanted to share a recent release that improves customers ability to confirm their bank balances using the new Bank Reconciliation Summary report.

    With the new report you'll now find you can enter a Bank statement ending balance. This means where an imported statement balance has not imported, or doesn't match your actual bank statement balance you can now enter an amount and update the report. Xero will then calculate the balance out by based on the amount you've entered in this field.

    Currently this is still on a bank by bank run report, you can switch between banks you have in your organisation from the Bank account field.

    If there are any plans to develop a view across all banks at once we'll let you know here.

  8. There needs to be a better matching system with Xero.

    For example I have two statement lines that cancel each other out. You should be able to match two statement lines to each other rather than creating invoice/bill to reconcile each line.

    Additionally, being able to reconcile multiple statement lines with multiple invoices/bills, overpayments or prepayments needs to be a thing.

  9. It would be helpful to have the reports, once exported to Excel, already formatted, so that the Nil values are shown as a 'dash' as opposed to '0'. This is particularly useful when there is a large report or several reports with lots of data. It is more efficient when it comes to reviewing the figures, and saves having to custom format the individual reports. We have also had clients, who still prefer reports on Excel, ask for reports in this format, it is time consuming having to change, especially when it is a large reporting pack.

  10. I would like to ask if there is a possibility of having on suppliers' and customers' activity bar (please see attached screenshot, what I mean) and one more column - bill/invoice description? I used to work with QuickBooks, and they had this feature, which was very helpful.

Bank reconciliation - A report that will show each bank transaction and then which invoice it has been reconciled against, as a way of having a quick way to check something has been reconciled incorrectly. Currently, the only way is to view each transaction through the account transaction report.

    Good to hear you're aware of how you can run the Account Transactions report to view this information, Catherine - Is there a reason or something missing from this report that would help you when reviewing transactions?

  16. I would like Xero to remove or make it optional when making batch supplier payment without swift code or linking with bank account as not every company will link their xero with their bank. Current batch payment is not applicable to my company as we do not link our bank account with xero. This compulsory swift code for bank processing is really not user friendly & our company book keeper has to enter supplier payment 1 by 1 for 20 invoice payment.

  18. Employee loans and advances should have the ability to add the gross amount starting date deduction amount this should then be reduced by each payment so the amount still owe can be seen at any time.

  19. As a DE User we would like to be able to upload a file to the bank creating the direct debits associated with subscriptions or payment plans. (The converse of the supplier payment batch file.)
    The functionality exists already, including the space for the client's BSB and Account number; and the capacity for "strip invoicing" so this should be a relatively quick and easy job.

The attached post indicates that Xero has delivered the ability to hide archived files by unticking the "Show Archived" box in the account transactions report and then saving it as a custom report. I have tried this, but it doesn't work. Every time I go into my custom report which should have the Show Archived box unticked it is always ticked and the archived accounts are showing. Could you please look at this again.

    Hi Sally, appreciate the image back to the earlier update you're referring to here. Is it possible that the custom report you're using was saved prior to the update and needs updating with any new setting changes and then saving again to hold these for future use? 

    If you're still finding the same behaviour, I'd highly recommend raising a case with our team of specialists at Support so they can dive into why settings you've saved in a custom report aren't being applied. Thanks
