  1. STP2 - Splitting allowances for all purpose from the hourly rate

    We have employees with all purpose allowances - ie it forms part of the base hourly rate and extrapolates in to overtime rates and annual leave loading. I now have to take it out of the rate and pay as separate line items including overtime and annual leave multipliers.

    Is Xero in their pay templates going to make changes to say have a tick box to indicate an add on allowance to the rate so regardless of the pay lines (that are set up as such) they multiply they…

    Hey community 👋 thanks for the interest in this idea! 


    Just to clarify, when creating a new allowance pay item, you'll have the options to 'Contribute towards annual leave rate' and 'contributes towards overtime rate'.


    This setting will include allowance type pay items in the calculation of annual leave and overtime rates. 


    I can see the main request here was a 'box to indicate an add on allowance'. 


    Can you confirm if this tick box in payroll settings solves that request?

  2. I refer to the Customer/Supplier Bill Activity reports which shows transactions as positive and negative figures. Could you *** create a report to show bill activity in Debit & Credit separate columns format instead of positive and negative figures in 1 column? Thank you

  3. At the moment to reconcile a PDQ payment we have to manual reconcile to the invoice - this means we have to enter the order number and tick them off, we are running at over 300 orders a day so this can take up to 2 hours a day. It would be good to get the list from Elavon's portal and upload to Xero, so to match them automatically - then leaving us needing only to spot any difference.

  5. Currently in European Countries except for the United Kingdom, the comma is used as a decimal separator not the dot.

    Europe: x.,xx i.e. €1.250,55
    UK: x,
    .xx i.e. £1,250.55

    For those Xero users invoicing to Europe countries It would be great if we could change the format of these numeric separators to better conform to European countries.

    The only ability we have at the moment to customise this is to remove the comma separator completely and have no decimal places.

    Hi Dan, you can already run the new Profit & Loss in a foreign currency your org is using, as well as run on a cash basis. If you often find yourself wanting to run reports on a cash basis - we recently released Reporting preferences where you could set this as a default. 🙂

    We'll keep tracking the interest around viewing the Statement of cashflow in a foreign currency and let you know if there's any plans made for this, here. 

  7. Bank feeds from Bendigo Bank, and I presume all other OSKO payments.is being fed into the reference field. It concatenates the description, payee and reference field.
    The problem is the field is now too short with new OSKO payment descriptions, so the reference field is often dropped off making some transactions difficult to match. A simple solution is to make this field longer.

  9. It is ridiculous that you are forced to set a calendar reminder to come back and downgrade a Xero Subscription in a month's time.
    A client may need to increase their subscription purely to account for the crossover period of one staff member leaving and a new one starting and whilst we have no issue paying the additional for the one extra employee, to make it impossible to downgrade for a month after that upgrade is a pathetic cash grab by Xero.
    Make it possible to downgrade the file immediately and have it take effect from the future date.

  10. "Compare Tracking Category" in the Old Format P&L Report includes columns for all Tracking Category Values USED in the date range; irrespective of whether the value is ACTIVE or ARCHIVED.

    "Compare Tracking Category" in the New Format P&L Report is different: it includes columns for ACTIVE Tracking Category Values. This represents an incomplete view because ARCHIVED Tracking Category Values USED in the date range are not included.

    Please can you enable reporting of USED Tracking Category Values in the New Format P&L Report before you remove Old Format Reports in July 2023.

    Custom reports don't provide a viable solution due…

  11. When sending a quotation it would be really helpful if the system did not allow the quote to exceed the number of items held in inventory in the same way as invoicing does. There is little point in quoting for items that we do not hold in stock and we do not operate negative balances for inventory.

    Appreciate your interest in raising your idea. Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now. There are some industries where it is common to quote for stock that is yet to be purchased, without having to purchase he inventory in advance. 

    We'll continue to monitor the idea here, but want to be upfront that there are no plans to change this in the near term. 

  12. It would be great to be able to select the account on a repeating bill as 'CIS Labour expense' (I don't understand why it won't let you in the first place when you can select all other accounts by the looks of it?..)

  13. Xero Projects - Needs Total Estimated Hours & Total Actual Hours (for Tasks) at top of Project. We quote projects based on hours and $ for each task. We would like to be able to easily see 'total hours' at the top of the screen for the project, and then total hours used, so we can see how many hours we have left to go on the Project (helps us to keep worked hours in check).   15. I'm invoicing through Xero and I want to allow customers to save their card on file in my stripe account when they pay an invoice.

    This way, we can bill them again in the next cycle. We deal with metered pricing, so the value of the invoice is different each month based on usage.

  18. Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.
