  1. It would be great to be able to filter by the PAYROLL DATE not just the DUE DATE for Superannuation Payments.
    This would make it a lot easier when creating smaller super batch payments.
    Currently, we pay our 100 staff's super each month (30 days after) and this means I need to manually click next to each individual payment line. I can multi-select all, but that will select every single line for all months.

  2. Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

    Thank you for your feedback in product ideas, everyone. With our payroll products being regional changes are generally developed in each separately.

    We have slightly changed the idea here to reflect the desire for this in AU Payroll, and have created a separate one across here for NZ Payroll.

    While there are no plans for developing this within our AU Payroll product right now, we'll continue to track the interest from you all here, and update if there is any change planned.

  3. The Payroll History Report needs to be available as a customizable report for which you can choose the reporting period and include all employees in one report. Currently only available for one employee at a time.

  5. Hi there, it would be great if we were able to edit the due dates of invoices that were created in a now locked period, our business (and I'm sure many others) have invoices with due dates that often change.

    We do not need to change anything other than the invoice due dates so if this could be added even as an optional feature for a locked period that would be very useful.

  8. We run a music festival of 10 concerts. Each concert is set up as a tracking category. It would be great to spread the direct and admin costs across evenly acoss all 10 concerts in a way that doesn't involve entering each invoice across 10 lines.

    Is there any way you could integrate the photos I put on my Starling Bank account of receipts I receive for purchases for my business account, so that I don't have to enter them twice, once on Starling and once on Xero.
    I realise this is not an option, as it's not happening, but the notes I add do come through, so could the photos too?
    In this new digital paperless world, it would be good not to have to keep every receipt and have to remember to photograph it twice. Hubdoc doesn't help, because you still have…

    Hi Lynda, thanks so much for taking the time to share this excellent suggestion. Automatically importing receipt photos from your bank directly into Xero is a great idea, and we can certainly see how much time that would save you.

    As you've pointed out, you can also import your receipts into Xero by using Hubdoc.

    For transparency, the direct bank feed for Starling Bank was developed and is maintained by the team at Starling. This means they control the type of data—like the transaction date, amount, and notes—that is sent through the feed to Xero. For that reason, the best way forward is to make this feature request directly to Starling Bank, as they are in the best position to add this functionality to the feed they provide.

  11. Daily Bank feeds from all banks to Xero for the weekends & public holidays now that transactions are done then and it puts our bank rec out.

    Hey everyone, thanks for for letting us know that this is important to you. We agree that having an up-to-the-minute view of your bank transactions, every day of the week, helps make managing your finances so much easier.

    The great news is that many banks already offer daily feeds that include weekends and public holidays. Since each bank determines the frequency of their feeds, the availability of this can vary.

    If you’re with a bank that doesn’t currently send transactions every day, we encourage you to also reach out to them directly to request this from them specifically, and this will help them to inform demand for this.

    We’ll keep this idea open for votes and comments to track the demand for this idea in general, and let you know if there are any updates here.

  14. While reviewing the short-term cash flow report, a client may realise that there is a bottleneck and spread out some bill payments by changing the payment dates. It would be great to be able to do this from within the Short-Term Cashflow (on the same screen that the issue is identified) to see the results immediately and the improvement in cash flow.

The functionality to allow for intercompany reporting when the currencies are different between the organisations - for this we would need to be able to create an asset/liability account in a currency other than the local currency. This would eliminate any Foreign exchange gains/losses on intercompany balances.

  17. Can you please give the option to inactivate past employees/leavers from payroll summary when doing reports. Every employee we have ever had is coming up on the report each time.

    Also how do I set up overtime payments to stay on employee profile instead of using the drop down menu every week.

  18. Currently we can search employee's data by using the dropdown arrow and selecting a specific employee. Can we also have the option for an arrow which allows us to simply scroll through each employee's record rather than having to use the dropdown option each time

  19. Now that NZ has 7 days transactional banking by all banks, can BNZ who is only providing Xero with bank feeds Tuesday- Saturday, (per Xero support) now send Monday- Saturday, so Saturday/Sunday transactions can be reconciled Monday's and information be up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the frequency of the BNZ bank feed. We understand that getting timely transaction data is crucial for keeping your accounts up-to-date.

    The way the direct feed from BNZ is currently set up means that transactions made over weekends and public holidays are sent through to us on the following business day. This is why you'll typically see these transactions appear in Xero on a Tuesday.

    We will keep this idea open for the community to continue voting on. Your votes help us, and our banking partners like BNZ, to gauge demand and prioritise these potential improvements. We’ll be sure to post an update here if there’s any news to share.

  20. UK Payroll - it would be handy to be able to mark P32 amounts due as paid or dealt with. Just helps to visual see where you are in the list of reports and keep on top of due payments.
