Trial balance - Compare Tracking
Trial Balance new report: Be able to run a report by tracking category. At the moment there is only an option to filter but if you have many tracking units you end up running a multiple reports and need to combine them all. Really time consuming.
My proposal attached - with such report you could do any analysis you want!

New invoicing | Payment - Ability to set a default account
Please have a default bank account in the add payment function. Have to manually enter the number or search for the bank account through your whole chart of accounts. Old invoicing had bank accounts automatically in this box.
8 votesThanks for your feedback, Jacqueline. We don't have immediate plans for being able to set a default bank account for payment on an invoice, but we'll start to track this here and I'll share if there's any plans made.

Projects - Ability to edit time of users who have left
I use Projects as timesheets for my staff in my contracting business, and it has worked well for the past two years. I do not use Xero process staff wages, I use ACE Payroll.
After a staff member leaves, I delete them from Projects, as it costs me $7.50 per month per person, and when you have between 20-25 staff, it can get quite expensive.
Once I delete a staff member from Xero, I cannot change any of their time entries. The reason I need to do this is usually because they have allocated his/her time against the wrong project.

Projects - Assign New staff to all Projects in Bulk
It would be great to have the ability to assign New staff to all existing Projects without having to open each Project individually. Perhaps a multi select drop down. Currently I am having to open 40 projects and add the new staff member in one at a time.

Bank Feeds - Request for bank feeds for ABN AMRO Bank
Please instate bank feeds for ABN AMRO bank (the Netherlands). I joined Xero for its highly automated systems. Now I still have to download and import bank statements manually.
It adds insult to injury for the fact I have to sign up to a premium plan to be able to account in a mere two currencies. For small traders like myself with low turn-overs and no need for the majority of features larger companies need, this feels deeply inappropriate and unfair. (another idea about this topic is already live elsewhere)

While our Open Banking connections in the EU currently cover only Denmark and Ireland, you can still keep your ABN AMRO transactions up to date in Xero by manually importing your statements.

Invoice Template - Setting for Decimal format

An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. Reporting - Allow Standard users to publish reports
Provide an option to allow standard users to publish bank reconciliation reports, but not all reports.
As a Xero Advisor, I don't always perform all of the accounting functions for my clients. For some clients we mutually prefer to have them perform the bank reconciliation process each month. This is a standard internal control that isn't always outsourced. Requiring publishing bank reconciliation reports at the Advisor level user seems overkill and limits how advisors can manage levels of service assumed by the advisor and their clients.

New Invoicing - Add Total at Top
Add a total invoice amount at the top of the screen like the old invoicing format. It's a pain to open an invoice and have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the total amount of the invoice, especially if it's a long invoice. The old invoice format shows the invoice total at the top of screen
8 votesWhile we don't have any direct plans for adding a total back at the top of the invoice, it'd be good to get a sense of the interest if this is important to others in community here, too.
Though I appreciate it's not a solve for the idea. To help speed up getting to the bottom of the page on those lengthier invoices, Julie you may find using the 'end' button on your keyboard helpful 🙂

Bank Rules - Tick box allowing full original description of transaction in bank, to be allocated when reconciling.
In the Bank Rules it would be very helpful to have a tick box that allows the full original description from the transaction in the bank, to be allocated when you reconcile the transaction.
Much like the Set Reference as 'reference/description/etc' option but specifically to include the original transactions detail.E.g. Bank rule & contact would be: 'Pharmacy'
- but the original description in is a transaction from 'Boots £3.50' or 'Superdrug £14.00' so when you apply the bank rule and you check the transaction in 'Account transactions' under the specific nominal (e.g. personal care), the description would say the…8 votes -

New invoicing - copy to keep original invoice date
For setting dates on new invoicing:
- when using the "copy to draft invoice" function, keep original date from copied invoice and not default to current date.

In terms of the second when you're mentioning the input of dates. You should find you can currently enter dates in number format, however you'll need to make sure you keep the '/' or '.' to separate day month and year, alternatively you may find shortcuts help you cut down the time needed to enter your dates here.

New invoicing - Don't open new tab when clicking the contact
Dont automatically open a new tab when clicking the contact link in the new invoice or give option to turn this off.
There is Alt+click shortcut on all browsers to do this already.
Making this auto open as default leads to too many unnecessary tabs and attributing to a more messy workflow8 votesThanks for your detailed feedback, everyone. We do find that customers have differing expectations of how clicking a link should behave.
With the current behaviour, opening the contact in a separate tab means that users don't lose any information they may have entered in the invoice.
We don't have any plans for changing this in the near term but it'll be good for us to continue to get a sense of the interest around this from our community here. If there are any changes that may impact this we'll share an update with you all here.

Invoicing - Use drag & drop to copy line details
Hi Xero Team , Kindly find attached file for your reference. I am sharing video file and screenshot that feature very useful for all user and copy above cell during invoice and bill generate. I am suggesting to IT team if they unlock drag and drop copy cell from above cell from mouse that feature would be very appreciated and may help to all user to easy invoicing and bill that help to time saving while enter multiple similar details in invoice or bill. I have also mentioned how to prevent accidental drag & drop cell with using ON/OFF button…

Purchase Orders - Expand column width to show longer PO numbers
The PO number space under Purchase Order View is limited, we cannot view our full PO number, refer to picture
Please extend the column, else Xero should restrict the maximum allowance length for PO number format.

Invoicing: Email receipt from within Invoice
At present, using Xero's Invoicing templates, you cannot send a "Receipt" from the Invoice -> Email screen. It prints as "Tax Invoice" with a zero balance. You have to click into the payment applied and send a "Receipt" from there.
If Xero labelled a paid Invoice as a 'Receipt', then surely we could use 'Receipt' templates - as you cannot unless using an advanced docx template with custom coding.
Secondary to that, Email templates - not being able to have a 'Receipt' template means that our "Receipts" go out with Xero's "View Full Invoice and Pay" message at the bottom…
