  1. When you look at the PAID invoices it shows years of invoices and would be nice if you could archive previous years. If a person is no longer affiliated with your company and they had previous invoices they cannot be archived but the person can be archived.

  2. A drop-down list when adding a Task under a project for an Estimated expense or an Expense. We only see a list when we type something. What if we want to see the items in alphabettical order starting with the 1st item?

  4. I would like the facility to pay a supplier from within the supplier page. You can see all the invoices that are due for payment while on the supplier page, but then have to leave that screen, go to bills to pay > awaiting payment > search supplier.
    The process could be much simpler.

    Appreciate feedback on my recent update - If you're looking to pay one bill you can easily open the transaction from the Contacts page, however it's not possible to create a batch payment or pay multiple bills from this screen atm. 

    This isn't something we have plans for right now, but we'll re-open this idea to continue to track the interest. I'll share if there's any change or updates here. 

  5. It would be great if we could send a remittance on a bill that has been part paid. This means suppliers can reconcile the payment in the same way we have in their own accounts

  6. Xero Projects - Group estimated expenses
    It would be helpful to be able to set up categories to group together estimated expenses. For projects with lots of different expenses but of a similiar type it would be useful to be able to group these to more quickly see the various costs of a project. For example, to separate out administrative costs from material costs at a glance, so there would be a 'category' into which we could put tasks, estimated expenses and expenses to distinguish from other major costs while still tracking individual costs against the specific estimate.

  7. There should be an option to make the description field for users completing their timesheets mandatory. This would enable Project Managers and Finance Managers to view more detailed information other than the number of hours worked on tasks.

    Currently many users do not fill in the description because it is not compulsory, which means that this detail is lost and decisions surrounding resourcing of Projects are not as accurate.

    This is critical to businesses where R&D is a large area and therefore efficient Project Management is key. As this may not be critical to all business using the Projects Module,…

  8. Set up leave so that it automatically tops up at the start of the year with a set amount.
    I have an employee that has an arrangement of xhours per years to be used as they wish. At the start of each year this reverts back to the agreed hours. Any hours not taken during the previous year is cleared.

  12. Some of our customers have set discounts, however, some of our inventory items have very little to no margin and we would like to be able to block that inventory item from being discounted. Also, freight gets discounted on customers that have discounts saved to their account?

  13. Hi, It would be helpful to have following information on activity statement : Total Invoiced amount ( as on Invoice report) and all payment activities ( payment date and amount). Now we have to send two different documents for customers -Invoice report and the activity statement. Would be nice to have all required Information on one statement. Thank you!

    Hi Ruta, apologies for the delayed response. I can see what you mean and appreciate the example you've provided (Thanks!). 

    From the looks, although not an exact statement format, the Receivable Invoice Summary report would show the details you're in need of here. 

    Within this report you can include Net/Gross columns of the invoiced amounts and also have Payments/Credits shown in a separate column. 

    You'll also be able to filter the report by Contact so you could export for a single Customer if that helps too. 

  14. Provide functionality in Xero to add attachments to a group invoice.

    Annually when we issue membership
    subscriptions there are a number of attachments that need to be included with the invoice, this is currently a manual process. Adding the sane attachments to over 80 invoices is time consuming and tedious.

    Given Xero has this functionality already, it should be expanded to include the functionality of adding attachments when creating an invoice o a contact group.

    Appreciate your feedback here, everyone. While we've recently released contact group invoicing with new invoicing, the ability to attach and send an attachment has not changed for the time being.

    Contact Group invoicing will only create draft invoices for the contacts within that group, so you'll need to attach any documents to the individual invoices that are created and select to include these with the invoice when sending.

    We'll continue to review this idea as a future enhancement, and I'll let you know if there are any changes planned, here.

  16. Staff members gets pay reviews each year, which means their cost change. But we are unable to get the change to commence from a certain date so reporting for prior year projects won't be accurate. any way we can put a change commencement date so reporting is more accurate?

  17. STP2 - Splitting allowances for all purpose from the hourly rate

    We have employees with all purpose allowances - ie it forms part of the base hourly rate and extrapolates in to overtime rates and annual leave loading. I now have to take it out of the rate and pay as separate line items including overtime and annual leave multipliers.

    Is Xero in their pay templates going to make changes to say have a tick box to indicate an add on allowance to the rate so regardless of the pay lines (that are set up as such) they multiply they…

    Hey community 👋 thanks for the interest in this idea! 


    Just to clarify, when creating a new allowance pay item, you'll have the options to 'Contribute towards annual leave rate' and 'contributes towards overtime rate'.


    This setting will include allowance type pay items in the calculation of annual leave and overtime rates. 


    I can see the main request here was a 'box to indicate an add on allowance'. 


    Can you confirm if this tick box in payroll settings solves that request?

  18. I refer to the Customer/Supplier Bill Activity reports which shows transactions as positive and negative figures. Could you *** create a report to show bill activity in Debit & Credit separate columns format instead of positive and negative figures in 1 column? Thank you

  19. Currently there is no functionality to add a line anywhere in the Journal. The current system of dragging a line from the bottom is absolutely inconvenient especially where the Journal is very long and we want to add a few lines in the beginning of the Journal.
    There should be one button 'insert a line function' (next to current curser location - meaning anywhere in the journal - Like F7 in SAGE).
    Also, to move to below line, we have to use mouse. Can it not be possible to use arrow keys to move up and down?

  20. With the current GoCardless for Xero system, there are three options for scheduling payments:

    1. You can select an individual invoice and take payment for the full amount in one go.

    2. You can select an individual invoice and split the total amount over a number of payments.

    3. You can select multiple invoices (for the same customer) and take payment for the full sum amount in one go.

    What we need added is a 4th option, where you can select multiple invoices (for the same customer), that the sum total owed and split that total over a number of future payments.
