AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.
Hey everyone 👋thanks so much for your ongoing feedback and commitment to supporting this idea.
We understand the need for a straightforward process to download all payslips at once, particularly for WorkCover claims or employee requests where multiple payslips are required. We’re excited to let you know that our product team is now actively working on a solution to allow bulk downloading of payslips.
In the meantime, you can use the Payroll Activity Details report to get a detailed breakdown of each payslip. It's also worth noting that employees can access and download their own payslips directly through the Xero Me portal.
We'll keep you updated on our progress right here. 🙂

Please deliver it to Australia, we as employers need it, why do you keep refusing to add it even though there is plenty of support for it. If it’s available in other countries how hard can it be to implement here?

WHY is this not a priority to deliver for Australia? Xero customers deserve to know the reasons behind the lack of customer care. I'm appalled by the disrespect shown by this corporation.

This is disgusting from Xero to only release it in The UK, you know people want it but you have "no plans" to release it to the rest of the world. I guess we know how unimportant we are to you!
How about you stop carrying on about "Project Beautiful" and get on with making your software functional -its accounting software for goodness sake - who cares about beautiful! Read the room!!!

Not to be rude, but this seems like such a basic feature for enterprise-level software. If you know that it is "highly anticipated" why would you not have plans to deliver it - particularly if you've already done so in other regions?

Please we need this feature.
We need to download payslips for all employees for the last 12month, we have 30+ employees, thats 1500+ payslips we need to download.

Absolutely highly important feature - wasting so much time having to download individual payslips for multiple employees when requested. Can't believe this simple function doesn't yet exist.

Agreed this is important. Needed for workcover claims.

If the code already exists for the UK users, how much more is required to implement this into the AU and NZ codebase? This is an extremely important feature for anyone dealing with apprentice rebates. Just add tick boxes and a 'Download Selected' button on the Payroll History page.

Anyone who deals with apprentices knows how important this function is. Telling the employee to go to Xero Me is not the answer! Is it possible to at least have the company ABN on the Employee reports? Apparently this is acceptable to the authorities as well. Would save us so much time.

This should be a basic function. Employers need this. Who has time to download 52 or more payslips. We are a small business. Now I am wasting time telling you to do a simple job.

I can't believe such a basic report is not available..seriously Xero..please get this report available!!!! We have better things to do than sit and hit a button and see whats going on with a staff members pay.

It sounds like at the moment, the solution given for an employer needing bulk pay slips for things like apprentice grants and employer Workcover claims is to ask the employee to download them one at a time and then send them to the employer so the employer can use them. Why should the employee be involved in this at all?

There's no need to download all payslips individually. Just tell your employees it's too much work, give them access and tell them to do it for themselves. ☺️

How is this still just an 'idea' after 18 months. I have 7 apprentices I have to confirm payslips for each quarter and have to download each one individually. Myob has a simple report function where you just enter the dates required.

Too right @Jamie Hall, irony of the week - receiving Xero request to complete a survey. Why take the time when it's clear that Xero are not focused on functionality. At least if these basic functions were fixed, it would save having to delete the numerous emails from other unsatisfied Xero users who have requested "fixes".
Not only payroll slips, also credit notes - being simply able to change a draft bill to a credit note, having a running total on bills when being split between different GL's and jobs AND biggest bugbear for me - being able to delete an invoice.

How ridiculous this isn't a standard feature.
I think we'd all prefer more time spent on "Building Functionality"

Agree you can download the Payroll Activity Detail report (and ensure in settings, your company's ABN number is included in the report). This report can be used for apprenticeship claims. HOWEVER - I have just completed 15 apprentice claims using the Payroll Activity Detail report and 6 were rejected. I had to then download individual pay advices for 3 months for 6 apprentices. With ADMS, I firmly believe it comes back to who is reviewing the report as to whether it is accepted or not.

Everyone seems so fixated with rerunning payslips. The Payroll Activity Detail report is the same without the logo etc. I have used the following reports etc for banks, Workcover and ADMS and all accepted it. Just make sure your ABN and registered name on all pages of the report
Download a Payroll Activity Summary for the individual employee for the period in question (ie 01 Jan - 31 Mar 2023) and a Payroll Activity Detail for the same in pdf. In Adobe, you can combine the two files and reorganise the pages so the summary is the first (and second page) followed by the detail pages.

It isn't always the employee asking for pay slips. We have third party requests at times, and this is very time consuming and so easy to miss a pay slip during the process.
