AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.
Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

Agree with everyone here - we need the ability to download multiple payslips for third parties - ie for Apprenticeship claims. Quickbooks and MYOB both have this function. Come on Xero!! It will take me too much time to download 12 months worth of payslips which is a costly expense to our client!!

Ohh this is painful! I need to download them for a third party as well for compliance reasons - it's not a good use of time at all. Come on Aussie Xero - make it happen, can't be that hard!

Perhaps you are not quite seeing the big picture on this Xero? From my perspective, its not the employees wanting this - its me! Having to download/upload one by one payslip when dealing with apprentices is getting very tedious. If is was just one employee once a quarter I wouldn't be so frustrated! Seems like community wants this but its way down your list xero. Shame.

What an arrogant and uncaring response to your Australian and NZ customers who were first on board before your expansion across the globe.
I assume you are working on the premise that it is too difficult for customers to change system providers, but I would be very careful about taking that road, I for one am advising friends and other small companies that Xero may not be the best way forward for them, and I know others are doing the same thing. In the long run, bad publicity is never good for any business.
I concur with the comments of Mollie Hammond below. -

The fact that this isn't being introduced within the Australian market or the software worldwide is a testament to how little Xero care about their customers. You've got 'management' who clearly couldn't care less about the customers needs, just raving about 'project beautiful'. NOBODY wants a more beautiful software over one that provides basic features. I don't know who is in charge of this at Xero but they need to be let go. The amount of feedback you've received stating this, yet your continued perserverence ignore your customers is disgusting. This is at the level of incompetence now. With these 'management' decisions you'll end up getting the worst reputation (already going downhill) and losing business. This is a BASIC feature on every other platform, its a minimum expectation feature not an optional one.

Please deliver it to Australia, we as employers need it, why do you keep refusing to add it even though there is plenty of support for it. If it’s available in other countries how hard can it be to implement here?

WHY is this not a priority to deliver for Australia? Xero customers deserve to know the reasons behind the lack of customer care. I'm appalled by the disrespect shown by this corporation.

This is disgusting from Xero to only release it in The UK, you know people want it but you have "no plans" to release it to the rest of the world. I guess we know how unimportant we are to you!
How about you stop carrying on about "Project Beautiful" and get on with making your software functional -its accounting software for goodness sake - who cares about beautiful! Read the room!!!

Robyn Kelly commented
Not to be rude, but this seems like such a basic feature for enterprise-level software. If you know that it is "highly anticipated" why would you not have plans to deliver it - particularly if you've already done so in other regions?

Please we need this feature.
We need to download payslips for all employees for the last 12month, we have 30+ employees, thats 1500+ payslips we need to download.

Absolutely highly important feature - wasting so much time having to download individual payslips for multiple employees when requested. Can't believe this simple function doesn't yet exist.

Lisa Height commented
Agreed this is important. Needed for workcover claims.

If the code already exists for the UK users, how much more is required to implement this into the AU and NZ codebase? This is an extremely important feature for anyone dealing with apprentice rebates. Just add tick boxes and a 'Download Selected' button on the Payroll History page.

Anyone who deals with apprentices knows how important this function is. Telling the employee to go to Xero Me is not the answer! Is it possible to at least have the company ABN on the Employee reports? Apparently this is acceptable to the authorities as well. Would save us so much time.

This should be a basic function. Employers need this. Who has time to download 52 or more payslips. We are a small business. Now I am wasting time telling you to do a simple job.

Still hasnt been done. Shame on you XERO !

I can't believe such a basic report is not available..seriously Xero..please get this report available!!!! We have better things to do than sit and hit a button and see whats going on with a staff members pay.

It sounds like at the moment, the solution given for an employer needing bulk pay slips for things like apprentice grants and employer Workcover claims is to ask the employee to download them one at a time and then send them to the employer so the employer can use them. Why should the employee be involved in this at all?
-
Gregory Griffiths commented
There's no need to download all payslips individually. Just tell your employees it's too much work, give them access and tell them to do it for themselves. ☺️

How is this still just an 'idea' after 18 months. I have 7 apprentices I have to confirm payslips for each quarter and have to download each one individually. Myob has a simple report function where you just enter the dates required.
