Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

It would totally solve a few issues for such as Fuel Tax Credits and give us an opportunity to use for stock control seeing as our business practices are unable to use Xero Inventory and paying an exorbitant amount for added apps and the extra work that creates for a one-person operation is not a useful option..

Totally looking for this option. Our business deals with quantities a lot and this would be great.
It is so time consuming having to drill into each transaction to see the quanties or add them up.
Xero this is real simple option to add as we already have to enter the quantites. -

Given you can run quantities and price on sales (and purchase ledger reporting) it must be easy to add these fields to the GL transaction reporting as well. The data is there, it just needs to be linked. Please make this possible Xero.

Very surprised this can't be done - This is needed

It turns out that you can get the quantities, prices etc for sales from a export of invoice data.

Yes this would be a great idea as I have a client who sells and purchases cattle and needs this.

"At present, there isn't functionality in Xero to add the quantity from your receive money transactions to the report."
It would be great if this could be fixed up as well.

+1 all the data is there can't be that hard. It's unbelievable that quantities cannot be reported on transaction reports.

Need this!
All the data is there - cant be hard! -

When capturing fuel, this report could assist with FTC and litres of fuel purchased.

The suggested solution of Payable Invoice Detail report doesn't take into account both cash and accrual basis. Not all fuel transactions will be entered through bills if they aren't on account, and therefore spend money transactions are missed on the above report.
Trucking businesses with hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel each quarter with a hundreds of transactions for fuel find it very difficult to calculate their FTC accurately and efficiently.
As previously mentioned, also for livestock calulations.

really important in assisting in fuel tax credit calculations & livestock

So crucial to have this added onto the Account transaction report or the Detailed Account Transaction report. Otherwise what's the whole point of entering quantities in invoices and when reconciling when it's not going to be shown in any reports.
-
Kim Jackson commented
Every other program I have worked with has this function. Definitely also needed to track fuel litres for trucking companies as well

Include the quantity option from an invoice in the optional columns in account transactions.
We act for lots of farming clients that we reconcile the crops sold to the valuations but can't select the sales invoice quantity figure in the account transactions report so have to rely on the client entering it in the narrative.

As able to enter quantities when entering a Spend or Receive money transaction, would like to be able to report on these Quantities in the Account Transactions report.
Also, be able to report on the Quantities entered in the Invoices / Bills in the Account Transactions report - only currently able to report on these Quantities through the Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail reports. -
Joe Tiddy commented
As Jamie said, referencing physical quantities is very important for advisors. We aren't asking for a full-blown inventory system, just that the account transaction displays a field that is mandatory for us to enter when creating bills/reconciling bank accounts.
