We can "customise the desktop", but we still have to have what is not wanted showing. That is no customising!

Clean up the desktop and have only what WE want to see and need.

Remove graphs and reports from the desktop. Have that in the reporting section.

Give us the option of the basics only and let us have the desktop that is suitable for our needs (like it was before Xero), instead of distracting analytical stuff. Enter bills, do payroll, receive payments and memorised transactions like other have. Everything is too "busy" and "overthought".

Would be very useful to personalise the homepage for clients.

It is top of the UNBELIEVABLY STUPID list that Xero does not have this functionality.
As the CEO, I don't care about the minutia shown on the current dashboard; I care about:
Financials
Financials
And Financials.

Would be helpful if you had the ability to change the dashboard graphs to show YTD as well.

Once you have created a custom report, it should be available to display on the dashboard. The reports panel has only a very limited number of reports to choose from. For example I have created a custom report that shows the biggest outstanding invoice balances by contact but I can't display this report (Ideal) nor can I even link to this report (workaround) on the dashboard.

I think this would be a great visual for clients (and me!!)

I completely agree with Debbie Painter,. It would be really useful to adjust the accounts watchlist reports, so we can view YTD if we want to, or view last month, current month, or whether is most suitable to the particular organisation.

We need a way to pin published reports to the dashboard for easy access by users. Perhaps add a "Published Reports" widget on the dashboard and allow an admin/manager to pin published reports to the widget. This will save lots of clicks and confusion from clients trying to find the reports they need.

I am struggling with the account watchlist. We have sales on there, but we do not close the month for about two weeks. Yet I cannot see 'last month's sales', only YTD and 'this month'. I have used a great product called CMAP (for engineers and architects). It gave the ability to write very simple reports and add to people's dashboards as action prompts.

I also think it would be useful to be able to have the invoices and bills as monthly or weekly stats too

on the dashboard invoice owed and bills to pay weekly bar graph should be a stacked bar graph so can hover over and see daily value going out or coming in at glance

I want to add the Trial Balance / Balance sheet / Profit & Loss to my dashboard but I can't seem to find how to..

I see that this is not the 1st time this has been raised as an issue

this is very important as allows different companies to create exactly what they need and to be able to assess the functions that are important to them.
different industries need to keep track of different aspects of the business so they need to specify the dashboard to them, not to a generic that is created by Xero.

It would be great if we could make some yearly comparisons on the sales graphs to compare sales from year to year etc.

Comparison graphs for sales by month, year, etc.

In addition to individual accounts, it would be great to select a group total from the Balance Sheet (or P & L) to put in the Account Watchlist, eg if you have a number of loans and you want to see what Total Loans are on the dashboard.

I'd say the ability to remove (hide) the graphs under each bank accounts info (by user). For advisors, this info is not always needed, and uses a lot of room in the window, especially when you have many bank/card accounts. However for business owners, this info can be critical. So having the ability to hide/view graphs would be appreciated. See attached.

Building on this: I would find it useful to see different business ratios on the Dashboard. Customisable based on available data. I am thinking things like % margins, % of staff costs over sales etc. I currently calculate in Excel using Xero data, but would be great to cut out the manual step to save time and avoid errors.

I need a graph showing how much I have invoiced on a week-by-week basis. It seems such a simple request, but Xero cannot produce it. All the information is there in the invoices page, but no way to extract the information.
