  1. Currently leave requests must be approved before the relevant pay run is commenced.

    If we discover that leave needs to be added at any point after the pay run is commenced, the entire pay run must be deleted, along with any progress made.

    When processing payroll for businesses, I occasionally discover leave should be included only while I'm actually processing the pay run.

  4. UK. We employ temporary staff who do not accrue leave while taking paid leave they have previously accrued. The only way to reflect this in Xero is to manually adjust the leave balance. I would like to be able to add a pay item of paid leave that does not accrue further leave.

  5. Turn off rounding in payroll deductions and superannuation in Pay Template. Is it possible to turn off rounding for payroll deductions in pay templates, as we have defined benefit member salary sacrifice percentage rates that are more than two decimals and Xero automatically rounds down or up which creates the designated ATO rate lower or higher than specified. Also payroll deduction amounts for Novated Leasing for pre and post tax amounts are rounding down or up to an amount which then we will have to create a journal later to fix the incorrect amount being direct debited from our bank…

  8. Hi,

    We have a few employees in our organisation that have an official Chinese name, but also a Western name that they se day to day and are know by..

    So all their ID is in their official / original name - and this is what the ATO and Super funds know them by - yet everyone else, including peers and external clients will know and refer to them in their chosen western names.

    This presents several issues within Xero:

  9. As a small business it is hard when employees take time off when sick especially with 10 days now. We have an incentive in our contract to either roll these over or cash them up however this is not available through Xero.

  10. The option to choose a date to send EE payslips would be a huge help , when you are running multiply payrolls this option would be invaluable. I may run a payroll on the 10th of the month yet payday is 30th so need to remember to log in and send payslips on the 29th. Takes a lot of time up.

  12. Hi there,

    I am using payroll manager currently for all my client payroll services, and xero does not provide reports like HMRC monthly payment, P32, I can see it but can not download it to send to my client for payment. Also no employee wage report whereby my client see all deductions/additions and pay net wage to all staffs.

    Please check this software https://moneysoft.co.uk/payroll-manager-overview/ this is far best software so far and probably all accounting practices are using it because its user friendly and provide too comprehensive report to clients and employer

  13. Enable option to enter birthdate for contractors in payroll. Our contractors have been with us for years and we like to recognise their birthdays. Since xero payroll integrates with Finlerts LeaveCal and Google Calendar, this would make this a breeze :-)

  14. Show pay items (hours) per day on pay slip. So the employee can check hours paid on given day in the pay period and are able to easily check their pay/hours against there records. In my case employees don't have access to timesheets in Xero but even if they did would make it easier to check in one place

  15. Be able to integrate the payroll calendar on Xero with iCal, so approved annual leave automatically appears in my iCal without having to duplicate entries, and updates if someone changes their leave on Xero.

  16. As with the financial side in Xero and their history and notes section, it would be very useful to be able to track who has approved leave or timesheets in Xero Payroll. We need site on which manager has approved the leave application or timesheet to mitigate any risk of the wrong people approving these.

  18. Can we please have a report that will breakdown annual leave and leave loading. When there is a lot of employees that take leave for a quarter is time consuming to have to drill down into each employee to work out the leave loading to ensure that the SGC amount is reconciled.

  19. It appears that in the last two weeks (submitted 23/2/2022) Xero rolled out a change to payroll, which possibly has some unforeseen implications.

    It used to be that if you were only paying a small number of employees at one time, you could use the summary screen (capture attached) to copy and paste the net pay figure for each employee to your online banking portal to effect the actual payment(rather than exporting to a file, and then importing the file to the online banking which is a little clunky for small number of employees - there doesn't exist the same…

  20. Recently, Xero implemented a security feature such that automatic superannuation can only be paid out of an account with bank feeds set up. This is not a problem for businesses whose automatic super was set up prior to the change, or whose bank account is with a banking service which allows for easily set up bank feeds not subject to disruptions.

    However, businesses who need to pay super from accounts that aren't so easy to get bank feeds for are kinda screwed.
