  1. Please update the wording of icon in an employees payroll from "reset payslip" to "reset individuals payroll"

The reset is for use to "refresh" really and nothing to do with a payslip.
    Its rather confusing.

  2. Tried to amend the national insurance category to a v category for 6 weeks after the employees start date, as that is when they were valid from, to find the calendar will only allow me to amend to a date previous or on their start date with the company. Has anyone else encountered this issue at all?

Hi Laura, it looks like you also raised a support case about this which has since been resolved.

To recap, when you add a V category, you'll have the option to enter a date in which the category starts from. Then you would need to enter the date in which the employee was first employed as a civilian.

For example, V category is valid from 31 Jan, therefore you can only enter the employment civilian date up until 31 Jan. You won't be able to enter an employment date after the NI category date.

  3. A tool in Xero to calculate the cost of a shift change for employees using the award that is set up in Xero. This would greatly assist in understanding the financial impact of such a change.

  4. I would suggest that a QR code can be placed somewhere in the workplace and it can be scanned with the Xero Me app for start and stop times. This way the employees needs to be onsite with their phones to do this. With the way it is now, any start time or finished time can be entered, relying on an honesty system.
    Thanks

  5. As a small business it is hard when employees take time off when sick especially with 10 days now. We have an incentive in our contract to either roll these over or cash them up however this is not available through Xero.

Appreciate you sharing detail and why you'd like a cash up option with us here. Being open, as this is more specific to your business(not regulatory) we don't have plans for adding a cash up option within NZ Payroll.

However, there are currently two ways you could achieve this within Xero Payroll today

    1. Leave the Sick Leave maximum to accrue value as nil this will allow an indefinite roll over of sick leave
    2. If you're wanting to cash up then enter a sick leave request for a single day and enter the total value of a week to cash up with a description of cash up

We hope this can meet the needs you're after in recording cash up for sick leave. Thanks

  6. We have several earnings rates Eg. Normal Time, Saturday, Sunday, etc and for each earnings type, there are several rates. We have these set up in Xero and they display in Alphabetical order under 'Pay Items'.

However, when staff are completing their timesheets in Xero Me, all of the earnings rates are out of order (in fact they are in no particular order!) which makes it very hard for employees to complete their timesheets correctly. We have over 45 staff and approximately 30 earnings rates, therefore having them in random order in Xero Me causes many timesheet errors.
