  1. Are you likely to increase the number of employees you can have in Xero to more than 200? We don't want to move from Xero but may have to if the numbers can't be increased.

  2. It would be useful if the cell size was bigger when entering a Spend Money or Receive Money transaction. The area to type in is only two thirds the size of the cell in the Description box which restricts the amount of information visible. Only two lines of text are visible at a time.

  3. Please provide bills allocation to purchase order option. converting purchase order to bills is not that useful as we received multiple invoice from different suppliers. sometime some supplier send us wrong invoice and without P.O allocations to bills we were unable to catch that kind of mistakes. which result in wrong payment.

    benefits of that option:

    it will be easy to see if trade/supplier invoiced more than our purchase order (agreed price). as right now there is no way we can see that information in xero.

    implementations way could be:

    Purchase order should be zero after allocating bill to it…

    Hi Amna, could you explain your idea a little more? Would this be to send bulk comms to multiple contacts from Xero, or something like being able to set different persons on a contacts record to receive different types of transactions or communications?

  6. I need to be able to run the "Income and Expenses by Contact" by Due Date rather than by Invoice Date, i.e. I would like to be able to select a date range and then there could be a drop down selection indicating whether these dates are Invoice Dates or Due Dates.

    We are a SaaS company with monthly subscription invoices, and what I am trying to achieve by running the report by Due Date is to report by the usage month which the invoice relates to.

    E.g. an invoice for August's usage would be auto generated on 25 July,…

  7. We have problem with Xero, For one user Xero approving and then editing same invoice on same time, When it is editing on same time it is adding same line items twice on the invoices resulting invoice amount is double. Any one having same issue ? How to solve this issue ?

Now with STP2, we need to disaggregate backpay across the various ATO Payroll categories but it is not possible to setup a backpay category for any leave categories, please create default categories or allow allocation to the ATO leave categories in pay items. Without it, it is impractical to be STP2 compliant.

  9. To simplify payroll it would be great to be able to load more than one account for the payroll batch to be processed from. We currently pay our staff from the salaries bank Account and the Manager from the Owners Bank Account. If there was the option to nominate a different debit account this would enable my payroll to be processed as a batch. Also I would like to be able to batch a transfer for PAYG Tax and Super to go from the Salaries Account to a that bank account.

  10. I need 'Invoice Value Discounting' where we provide a discount on nett price and a different percentage is applied dependant on the net amount. For example 5% applied on invoice of 250, 7.5% over 500, 10% over 750, etc. You would set these up in a table and you can decide which clients have IVDs

  11. It would be great to be able to change an existing payrun (without using an unscheduled one) and submit an additional FPS relating to that month. Also being able to submit an additional FPS relating to a month that has already been submitted and no changes made, but sometimes HMRC pulls through the data incorrect their end and they need just an additional FPS submitted to pull it through correct but this is not possible currently.

  12. Ability to run Aged Payables/Expense Claim report with archived users included on the report.

    Currently, when you run an Aged Payables/Expense Claim report, archived user doesn't appear on this report, however, in the balance sheet as Unpaid Expense claim, the archived user's claim is included. It looks wrong, especially when you work on a year-end, and those 2 numbers don't match up!

  13. We have multiple sites within our payroll company. Each site is in a different physical location. We have set each location up as a "Group" Each employee is set to a group. This way, we can sort and report on each location within our payroll entity.
    However, we need the payslip to show the address of the location, rather than the address which is showing in the organisation settings. I understand that we can set up a different physical address, but is it possible to have a separate address for each group or location within this organisation?

    Hi Belinda, when you say from your clients would it be clients orgs that you're helping manage or customers that you regularly trade and are sending invoices too from Xero? 

    If the first - It is possible to include the Registration number on your invoices using an advanced template - see more on this here


  16. Currently there is no easy way to review the on/off status of invoice reminders for Customer unless they have an outstanding balance, and even then this is only on screen and not exportable, so either a way to filter the Customer list for those which have invoice reminders turned off, or just a report that can be run with a column for the reminders status (on/off and number of reminder sent) would be useful for better credit control review.

  17. When Posting a customer invoice it would be very useful to be able to see customer address and ROI vat number so I can apply the correct vat code. ATM I have to go to contact details for that information then back into invoice posting

    Hi Gillian, understand it doesn't accomplish all of your idea here. However you can view a contacts address from the invoice. If you click on the 'To' field once you've added the contact you'll be able to view their email, postal and delivery addresses and telephone. 

  18. Our company's invoicing procedure comprises three steps:
    (1) invoice generation by our own custom software and also pushed to Xero through the Xero API,
    (2) direct debit payments manually added and processed via GoCardless (on their own website, not Xero's integration) for selected invoices, and
    (3) invoice reconciliation in Xero. This process is jeopardized when any alterations are made to the invoices in any of the systems (our database, Xero, or GoCardless), causing inconsistencies and the need for corrective credit notes.

    We primarily use our custom software for invoice generation and management (90%) and occasionally create manual invoices in Xero…

  19. When sending customer statements, we have a mix of clients who have email, and some who still get sent statements in the post.

    It would be amazing if we could apply filters, like in excel, to the send statement screen, so i could say filter out all clients who have a balance greater than $0, but also who has an email address, so we can process statements, then reapply the filter to give all those without an email so we can then print all the statements needing printing.

    At present we can sort by email or account balance but not…

  20. Currently you can only see new notifications when they pop up in the menu. As soon as you click x, they disappear and cannot be accessed any more. It is useful to be able to look at old notifications - particularly for tax codes so that changes to tax codes can be double checked

    It'd be great to understand when you say "dismissing" notifications, would this be by clicking the "x" icon in the top right hand corner of the notifications pop-up, or within the notification feed? Thanks
