  1. Listing Time Entries in Chronological Order in Invoicing for Projects.

    As raised in support case CX0012531595 - I use projects to create invoices for clients and show time entries for all tasks - the problem is that the draft invoice seems to put all the entries in random order rather than a date order - there is no way to sort by date so that it reads chronologically for the client.   2. Having recently started using advanced templates for our invoices, I've discovered that credits applied to invoices don't show separately and instead get added with payments, thus showing as net payments. I believe the credits field is only available for use on advanced statement templates so can the credits field be made available for adcvanced invoice templates please?

    That would then give us the ability to display the total amount credited on an invoice and the total paid towards it on separate lines.

  3. To be able to view at a glance the 'period taken from a customer to pay invoices' from the Due Date to when the funds have reached the supplier's bank account. This is instead of exporting the Xero report in an excel sheet and then adding a formula to calculate the difference between the two dates. Surely with all the information already stored in the Xero account, this option shouldn't be too difficult to add. Thank you.

  4. It would be very useful to be able to change the names of the General Ledger Account Types. Also Fixed Assets should be changed to Capital Assets because Capital Assets is really the applicable term because not all Fixed Assets fixed. Machinery, equipment, rolling stocks......

  5. Head ledgers with correct names for UK market. We use Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger not receivables and payables, also we call it nominal ledger or sometimes general ledger. Why can't you allow us to change the headings or at least set up Xero like Sage does so you can have a more accountancy based set up for advanced users and not the layman even though the content would be the same for both to see

  6. Currently eInvoicing attaches the user's email address to an eInvoice. So that we can centralise how we track our invoicing, we would like to change this to our generic email address xyz@entity rather than name@entity. It would be great if there was a drop down button added to eInvoicing to make this change.

  7. It would be great if the Activity Statement Transaction reports included the Sales Invoice number in addition to the Reference field. The old full BAS report used to show the Sales Invoice number as the Reference field on the report.

    We use simPRO for Invoicing and when the data is imported the Job No/Order Number is imported into the Reference field in Xero but we sometimes issue multiple invoices per job so the Invoice number is much more relevant as a reference.

  8. It would be really helpful to be able to group bank accounts in a similar way to grouping Contacts. We have multiple currency accounts and base currency accounts as well as credit cards and to be able to group them in different ways would make checking them much easier. Eg group into GBP Current Accounts, Currency Accounts, Cash Currency Accounts, All Cards etc

  9. Invoice in Projects - ability to combine time entries of employees to show total hours per employee

    At the moment when you create an invoice in Projects, all the individual time entries are shown which can be 2-3 pages long. It would be great to have an option to combine all time entries per employee over a selected period so that the invoice doesn't have to be 2-3 pages long showing time entries done by each employee when all we need is one line item per each employee.

    Does this need to be on an employee basis, Jay? 

    At present, you can either create an invoice based on the Task or based on Time entries. 

    To confirm at present you can summarise the time entries by selecting to invoice as a Task - but appreciate this doesn't allow the individual lines for a employee breakdown 

  10. Split out the 'other previous earnings' section in the YTD section of an employees payslip between commission, annual leave etc

  11. Our new system separately invoices every job we complete. This gets loaded into xero invoices, ATM you can copy these individual jobs and they can be put on to one invoice, great.

    However Xero wont let you add more jobs to this invoice by the same copy facility.
    It only gives you the option of a customer name not an invoice number.
    I would like to be able to add jobs daily to this invoice and send my customer one invoice at the end of the week/month.

  12. There needs to be an automatic email notification sent to users when a financial setting is changed. Our gst number was changed and we had no idea until we manually spotted the change.

  13. Ability to change the standard Xero password when emailing payslips.

    Purpose - if emails were hacked, the current standard password (initials & birthdate) set by Xero is easily guessed. It should be possible within Xero to change this standard password.

    With an increate of payment options and portals offering payments through credit card, it could be reasonable to have an aba file created for other form of payment. Thanks

  15. See card number when reconciling

    There is no longer a card number on the bank statement line when reconciling.

    This was really useful as we have multiple business cards connected to the same account and we need to know which employee made the transaction (which we identified through the credit card number)

  16. Would like to have the ability to customize the header for a paid invoice to be TAX INOVICE while the unpaid invoices are just called Invoice. Currently the templates allow for a custom title for the over due invoices, approved invoices but not paid invoices.

  17. If employees are putting their expenses onto Xero Projects then you should be able to pull a report and pay their expenses from it. Otherwise they are going to have to duplicate work by putting it on Projects and then submitting an expense claim.

    Maybe a case of understanding your workflows here a bit better, Rachel. Currently when entering an expense through Xero Expenses you can assign to Projects so these'll attach and show against your Projects in Xero - Would be great to get more details if there's something in here which requires duplication.

  20. I deleted and voided invoices for a reason. I don't want to see them again, yet they show up by default on a number of reports. This is in addition to making the invoice number unusable when invoices are voided. None of this makes sense to me and I shouldn't need to make a custom version of every report that seems to included voided/deleted data by default.
