  2. We write paper checks for some of our clients using a blank check style format. It would be nice to be able to insert a scanned signature on the signature line on the check style. This would enable the authorized signature to print on all checks printed.

  3. Provide the ability to add Custom Fileds to Chart of Accounts entries. Perhaps 3 each of the following field types... Date, Text, Number (to 2 decimal places), Logical Fields (Tick Boxes).

    Hi John, to better understand how these custom fields would help - could you explain where you'd expect them to appear or how you might use them?


    For example, would you expect to be able to report on these? It sounds like you'd like them to be visible when entering an item such as posting a journal, or adding a line to an invoice however it'd be good to know how you expect these to differ to the fields that are available in those as well. 

    For example when adding an invoice you can enter an issue and due date, writes a text description and enter a price with 2d.p.

  6. Large business that are using automated accounts payable, are starting to request that invoices are sent to them in the cXML format.

    It would be great if there was an option to attach a version of the invoice in cXML format when sending an invoice to a customer.

  7. Allow any field from the company or contact field to be added to report columns. e.g. Company account ID so once a report is downloaded we can use Vlookup and consolidate data from several different reports, Company City, or State so we can evaluate sales based on geography. The currently available columns in the Reporting are very restrictive and do not allow a business to make smart decisions as data is scattered or not available easily.

    Hi Lynx, appreciate raising your idea in community. While we don't intend to make every field of a contacts record visible in every report appreciate your detail around the Location and Contact Account Number that you'd like to be able to view. Are there any specific reports you'd find this most useful in? 

  8. While performing a task of Bulk Income Reconciliation , I have to add Invoice one by one likewise 70123 , 70124, 70125 and so on. This is very time consuming task.
    Could we have range over there so that we can directly select all and reconcile the same.

    Hi there 👋, for the example you've provided here you could enter "701" into the search field which would search all unreconciled invoices that include this detail in the Invoice Number field. 

    While not a definitive range this'd enable you to focus on a group of invoices in a sequence - Would this suit for what you're after here?

  9. Does Xero have any plan to put the payment term feature showing on tax invoice in near future? Currently, we setup on each customer record. But the payment term is not printed automatically for each customer. Hope to see this feature soon on all printed invoice.

    Hi Emily, there's no way or immediate plans for enabling differing payment terms per contact on invoicing atm.

    Right now, if you have differing payment terms for different sets of customers, they way to represent these differences would be through the use of invoice templates.

    You can then set a default branding/template to be applied to each of your contacts which'll be auto applied when you raise and send an invoice for them.

  10. We need an approval process which includes multiple approvers who do not necessarily access Xero so a share as with an invoice would be ideal to request approval via email

  12. Occassionally a debit order fails/ bounces after a considerable amount of time, after the receipt has already reflected on a customer statement. In this case, I should be able to reverse the receipt without removing it from the Accounts Receivable account.

    For example, a debit order runs in March and bounces several weeks later in April, after the customer has received a statement.

    E.g. end of March they receive a statement showing

    Opening Balance 0
    Invoice 100
    Receipt -100
    Closing Balance 0

    When the receipt now bounces in April, their next (April) statement should begin with what the closing balance…

  13. Ability to remove value from online quote. This will allow templated quotes to be used where a total value isn't used and individual pricing is set per task. Dependant on the job there are specific rates per brick etc. Which is calculated at the end of a job bet the rate is set at the start therefore we need people to accept our quote (rates) but the total (quantity) wouldn't be determined until job completion.

  14. When a client emails bills into Xero files, they often include a note saying APPROVED or POST TO DIRECT COSTS and even- PLEASE PAY TOMORROW. At the moment I have to open the email, take a copy, email it back into Xero files and then attach that to the bill along with the original bill. Can a copy of the email be automatically attached to the bill when it is processed from files? It would save a lot of time.

  15. Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

  18. My payment provider has recently started taking their fee percentage prior to the deposit, versus charging me at the end of the month.

    This has caused each of my deposits to mismatch the invoice total.

    Meaning, I need to add a bank fee on each individual transaction.

    It would be EXTREMELY useful to have a "default bank fee" or "default credit card fee" button that would:

    1) Remember the Contact as [Payment Provider] (currently have to type that in manually)
    2) Add a default description "Credit Card Processing Fee"
    3) Allocate the charge to an account [5150 - Credit Card…

    Hi team, great to get your feedback and support through the idea here. We appreciate the current task list is not always the most useful for managing projects, especially if they’re long running. We’ve started some work around this and enabling Xero customers to search tasks and sort by Name or Date Created. While in early stages at present we’ll keep you updated on progress for this here.
