  1. Xero should not allow employees to submit Expenses for locked periods. It must have a Posting Date & Document Date to facilitate this. The document date should always be what's on the invoice/receipt

  3. Be able to add a message for each individual employee to tell them what their premium is for their medical insurance benefit.

    The premium for each employee is different, so can't use the payslip message on a payroll run. Adding individual data to a person's payslip each month is too labour intensive.

    Maybe some type of pay item without affecting their pay/tax/NI etc. It could then be added to their pay template so it appears every month.

  5. Right now there’s no functionality in Xero to record credit card account in an employees records, by adding this feature would allow payroll to be paid directly to a credit card.

  6. You should be able to edit any payrun that hasn't been 'filed' regardless if it was the last one or not. I enter several unscheduled payruns and I've noticed an error in one but I can't fix it because it wasn't the last payrun posted. The "work-around" Xero recommends is to File it and then re-post a counter fix. This feels redundant and unnessary extra work. Essentially its saying I can post an inverse of the original to cancel it out which isn't a tidy way of doing work.

  8. To include different accounting method for construction company.

    We are using PCM method for our accounting in which our revenue and expenses recognized are based on the project's progress. Our project work done percentage is based on the costs incurred and the revenue and cost of sales are based on the work done percentage.

    I have attached an example of calculation.

  9. The Xero App currently does not allow you to manually edit the tax amount on bills, and therefore in turn means you cannot approve bills with any tax adjustments made via the App.

    I'd like for this to become a feature to save any approvers having to log into Xero in another way just to approve a bill.

  10. Cash coding currently has a keyboard shortcut to copy the nominal above, which is great..... Please can we have a keyboard shortcut made for the "Payee" that works in the same way as I often alphabetically sort these so it would be a huge time saver.

  11. A aged report that will show the year end balance but can also update this to remove for payments that have been made/received post year end (something that can be done on Sage and is a very useful tool)

    Not a capture all but maybe a step in the right direction for now that could help, Maureen - Smart Lists could help you get a view of the customers that you've not sold items to recently. 

    You could run a New Smart List to view Any customers who have Not Purchased Any items In the last year - Find out more on Smart lists here

  13. In the old version of the report you could over type a selected account with another to quickly see the new account.
    In the new version you 1/ can't see the accounts you choose easily, 2/can't deselect (you must first "Select All" then "Deselect All".
    If I have missed something please let me know.
    This is making spot checking of account transactions much slower, and time equals money.

  14. In the Files area, there are some that you do not know of until you opened them, and upon seeing them, it's not needed for the business. You have to close the file, either select the checkbox then delete, or the option button on the right to delete. Can you add a Delete function upon opening the file so we don't have to click close just to delete unwanted files? Thank you!.

  15. When you 'Invite Staff', the ability to copy an existing staff members 'privileges' will speed up the user creation process significantly.

  16. From Chart of Accounts, click on an amount in the YTD column. The account loads with the transactions in date order oldest to newest. Please reverse this (or create an option) for the transactions to load with the latest transactions first by default.

  19. Widen the display of the GST Audit report. When viewing the GST return I also check the GST audit report. When viewing the GST audit report I cannot see the date on the left side without scrolling to the bottom and using the scroll bar to move the report from side to side. It will not show all the columns at once.

    Hey team, as you may have seen in our communications - We're releasing a new and improved New Zealand GST experience.
    As part of the new experience there is no longer a GST audit report, instead there is the transactions tab where you'll have options to toggle different columns on or off. 

    Along with this, you'll find the page auto scales to fit your information in one screen, meaning there'll be no need for scrolling😊 - This is currently being released to a small portion of customers to test the user experience before releasing it more broadly. I'll return to confirm once it's available to all.
