  1. In the employee card under pay template be able to organise the earnings rates in the order we prefer. For example have employees working overtime, saturday sunday and monday to friday. Being able to put the earnings in alpahbetical; order not how it is saved by Xero.

  2. It would be great if Analytics Plus had the option to exclude individual bills.

    For example, our business pays our BAS and PAYG from a sub account.
    We are unable to exclude this from the projection.

  5. Bank feeds from Bendigo Bank, and I presume all other OSKO payments.is being fed into the reference field. It concatenates the description, payee and reference field.
    The problem is the field is now too short with new OSKO payment descriptions, so the reference field is often dropped off making some transactions difficult to match. A simple solution is to make this field longer.

  6. Title says it all, the current process requires a customer to full sign up with Xero (and be almost/forced to PAY) just to see an invoice history.

    This should be accessible via a rotating link where the current "View all invoices" link is in the upper right -- or extremely simple login system that just takes an email and password.

    Hi Adam, understand that there can be confusion for a customer if it is their first time making use of the link and not already having a Xero account. 

    The need for the user to create a Xero login to access and view their outstanding invoices with you if for yours and their security in the information that can be viewed. 

    Appreciate you may like a simpler sign up process for them and I have slightly adjusted the title of your idea here for this.   It's not something we have intentions of developing at this time, but we will get a sense of the wider interest from your idea here.

  8. At the moment to reconcile a PDQ payment we have to manual reconcile to the invoice - this means we have to enter the order number and tick them off, we are running at over 300 orders a day so this can take up to 2 hours a day. It would be good to get the list from Elavon's portal and upload to Xero, so to match them automatically - then leaving us needing only to spot any difference.

  9. When entering a bill or invoice, you enter the total at the top then add statement lines, would be great if it showed remaining amount to be charged/ reconciled to reach the desired total. This would cut down admin time when reconciling bills after entering gst amount could show the total remaining as the non gst amount so you do not need to calculate the remaining amount.

  10. An Information message to advise implications of editing the "Account Type" when posting a bill for a Fixed Asset.
    "If an approved bill or spend money transaction is edited, and the account code is changed to one with a Fixed Asset account type - a draft asset won't be created". ie- it does not automatically update the transaction to include the item on the fixed asset schedule. Unless the item is manually added to the fixed asset register, it will not be included in subsequent depreciation runs.

We would like to be able to hide certain bank accounts on the dashboard so our employees who reconcile our bank accounts don't also see our payroll bank account (same with loan accounts, savings accounts etc) where the wages get paid from. I.e. the ability to edit the dashboard and 'hide' a bank account for certain employees/ Xero users. Currently as I understand, editing the dashboard is unique to the logged in user.

    Hi Heiko, even if you were to hide the bank account from the dashboard, if the user has permissions that enable them to access bank accounts they would be able to view this information somewhere else. 

    It sounds like you'd be interested in the idea across here asking for the ability to restrict access to bank accounts. Would this be correct? 

    If so, I'll merge to keep this feedback altogether. 

  12. Have the ability to set default settings for every new Contact you add to Xero.

    Our default tax will always be Tax Exclusive for example. We should be able to set this as the default to all new contacts added, as well as:

    Default account
    Currency
    Invoice Theme
    Invoices Due Date

  15. Export a file that collates all invoices for each contact, to be uploaded to your bank to run customer direct debits. The same as you can do for bill payments. We currently use UCollect for $360pa, if anyone has any other ideas for this simple task -while Xero is working on building it ;) ...I'd love to hear them, TIA.

    Thanks for the extra detail, Cheryl. Appreciate where you're coming from. This isn't something we have plans for at present but we'll get a feel for the interest and let you know if there's any change here. 

  17. Add a "Print Deposit Summary" template compatible with the custom preprinted Laser Deposit slips offered by many suppliers. All check suppliers seem to follow the same format for their slips, which does not work with Xero's summary. Example attached.

  18. Currently bill costs are not posted to the accounts until it has been approved. It would be beneficial if once a bill was entered/submitted for approval in xero the costs were shown in the accounts. If the approver is not available to approve the bills it holds up finalising month end accounts.

    Be great to search by account in addition to current fields. For those business that need to track quotes based on product or brand or account, this would allow a business to see activity and also follow up quotes from the one screen. hope that makes sense.

  20. "Compare Tracking Category" in the Old Format P&L Report includes columns for all Tracking Category Values USED in the date range; irrespective of whether the value is ACTIVE or ARCHIVED.

    "Compare Tracking Category" in the New Format P&L Report is different: it includes columns for ACTIVE Tracking Category Values. This represents an incomplete view because ARCHIVED Tracking Category Values USED in the date range are not included.

    Please can you enable reporting of USED Tracking Category Values in the New Format P&L Report before you remove Old Format Reports in July 2023.

    Custom reports don't provide a viable solution due…
