  1. It will be very useful for reporting if we are able to change the layout of Timesheet Details from a week ending to fortnightly while also able to choose the start date and end date without the dates with zero hours.

  2. Due to timing issues on when Stripe collects funds vs. when Stripe pays them out, we end up with transactions on our bank reconciliation after the period is closed. I know I can delete the bank statement line and import them with a current date, but it's an issue as our accountants run reports to upload into another system, and I never know if these transactions have been captured. Plus, to delete transactions, we have to open the prior period, which is problematic as we try to avoid that as much as possible.

  3. Currently after we assigned billable expenses to a customer and subsequently when we create a new invoice with the billable expenses, noted that the tracking category named Projects as well as account code are not auto-fill. We need to fill in manually which is time-consuming, imagine there are 100 items in the invoice.

    It will be very helpful and save time if the account and project code will be auto-fill in the invoice. We really appreciate your support and looking forward this can be implemented. Thank you!

  6. We need a report that will give us a list of lapsed customers. We as a small business need to be in touch with customers who haven't had any transactions with us for 6 months or a year. It would be great to have a feature or report where we can easily find these customers. On our old accounting system, all of our customers had a " last invoice date" column so we could easily pull a report for any of these customers who hadn't been invoiced for 6 months or more.

  8. Xero and NEST do not always link.

    For example a client of mine has a pay date 15th September (pay period 15/08/23-14/08/23). This gets sent to NEST from Xero using a pay reference period 15/09/23-14/10/23. This results in the submission showing in the period following the current period on NEST.

    I have spoken to NEST and they advised that Xero is incorrect and need to change the pay reference period to match the pay period so the file is submitted to the correct period within NEST.

    Please can this issue be rectified to avoid manual submissions having to be made.

Currently XERO record any FX unrealized gain or loss for outstanding foreign currency invoices and bills according to the exchange rate if the day when the invoice or bill is created and then calculate the unrealized gain or loss based on the daily rate movement. When the invoice or bill is paid, the actual gain or loss is then calculated and recorded as FX gain/loss based on the actual base currency amount received. This applies well to foreign currency invoices which are paid to a bank account in base currency.

    However, this method should not apply to foreign currency invoices…

  10. Please Please put the option to see what branding theme is on the invoice on the DRAFT invoice page -- If you have 50 invoices in a batch with different themes its a nightmare. And then also Step 2 - PLEASE link the email template automatically to the branding theme. It would make our lives much simpler. We process many invoices in batches with two different themes. Not having the ability to even see the branding on the draft page is crazy. How hard can it be to put that field up as a display item - You have others…

  11. Budget Variance Report for 12 months.

    Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:

    Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.

    Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

You already have the ability to add purchase prices for different products on xero and an income by customer report, but would be great to see gross profit for each customer, to know what sort of customers are the most profitable.

    Not directly within the Profit & Loss report, however there are a couple of options that you could find handy -

    As inventory was mentioned - Smart lists that can be run within Contacts could enable you to view segment and view customers based on purchases, payments and locations within a period.

    Alternatively, we've made a lot of improvements to Xero's newer reports and you could view the top 10 customers in a graph and their spending with you on the Income by Contact report.

  15. I have a client who is VERY mobile active. I noticed on the bank reconciliation page that notes are multiple taps away. On a transaction, three dots, then view note, and then one more click to go back. It was be fantastic if the default on the bank reconciliation page on mobile was to show notes first, like the discuss tab is defaulted to show first on the web application. Then I could instruct my client to view the bank reconciliation on their mobile to see what information I am requesting.

  16. It would be useful to have a cc and bcc field when sending invoices so that either the business owner or another individual could receive a copy of the invoice when it is sent. This functionality is available in QuickBooks.

  17. Create the option to use Days or hours for time off (holidays).
    Holidays are often calculated in days or 1/2 days not hours.
    Having this option for pay & pay rates would also be helpful and also on payslips

  18. Very simple fix. Add 'Group' as a column header on CSV export download of contacts. When I download all the contacts, ive no way of knowing which group they are in, or if they are not in a group.

  20. For users with Invoice Only access, they currently can only use the 'Receipt' option to add expenses via the mobile app, not via the desktop site version.
    Would make sense to have the same options for same access regardless of what device is being used.
