  1. Please keep the current feature of adding item codes to billable expenses so that the preset charge out rate and account pulls through. In the new system adding an item code wipes out the billable expense.

  2. Add tracking categories to the find and match function on the bank reconciliation screen. this would make matching payments to invoices easier for my clients as they have payments taken via DD per branch

  3. When previewing bills in 'awaiting payment' or 'awaiting approval' there used to be up and down arrows to cycle from one bill to the next or previous. The arrows have been removed from the interface with no plans to bring them back.

    Previously, we could review the account and GST coding of each bill, as well as having the attached invoice open to the right, including the abillity to review the Xero ocntact bank details by clicking on the contact name. Now, without the abiity to cycle between bills easily, it means we need to close each bill before clicking…

  4. Trial Balance new report: Be able to run a report by tracking category. At the moment there is only an option to filter but if you have many tracking units you end up running a multiple reports and need to combine them all. Really time consuming.

    My proposal attached - with such report you could do any analysis you want!
    Option to run it by month "compare with" option a dream!

  6. Suggestions to improve the reporting of GST Audit Beta

    1. Allow us to select which Tax Codes to display in report (default All)

    2. Show the tax code in each row rather than as a report subheader. Useful when there are lots of records for some tax codes

    3. I noticed that we can select Reference field for the columns, but not Invoice No. If the entry's Ref field is blank, the report shows the Invoice No. So this is misrepresenting the report, and showing inaccurate results as no one analysing the report would know if they are seeing the Ref no or…

  7. Thanks for adding this feature. I'm trying it and I noticed that if you copy and paste a value with a $ in it, it will not paste properly. Sometimes when you copy paste opening or closing balances from PDF it copies including the dollar sign.

    Please allow to paste the value with the $ in it.

    Also, there doesnt seem to be any way of deleting a draft period. Please consider adding a small garbage bin icon in the period list and inside the period.

    Appreciate your feedback, Alvaro. I know you originally shared your comment on this idea however I've just turned your comment into a new idea, so we can separately gauge interest in being able to delete a draft period. We're staying close to the feedback we're receiving so we'll share if there's any plans made around this with you here.

  8. Sales Invoice - Bulk create Sales Invoices is possible with the import of the csv file, however, the invoices entered is not marked as paid, so we either mark them all paid on one especific date (bulk payment) or go in each one of them and enter the payment...

    Going in each one is impratical, and bulk paying all, lets say, at the end of the month is ok, but not right.

    We would love to create and mark the invoice as paid in one go, just like with the import precoded bank transactions...

Many of my clients are partnerships and trade using the partners initials e.g. J & J Doe but on their reports it displays as %26 and on emails that they are sending with sales invoices, it displays as "& amp;" meaning that when I save reports or they send their invoices, this has to be changed. Having worked in a software house previously, I know that this is a programming issue and one that should have a relatively simple fix so can you please look at this.

  10. It would be so helpful if tradesmen could create a printable & electronic job sheet from a quotation containing materials and time scales etc

  11. The delivered response to my previous idea was no correct. The aged summary/detail reports only show what is outstanding.
    The report I am requesting is to show the turnover, monthly across 12 months so that we can see what we have spent with a supplier each month for that year, but also what a customer has spent with us.

  14. Please remove invoice links from Statements, this is causing us huge problems or at least give an option to remove.
    We are requesting like many others that Xero remove invoice links from statements, as they are causing significant issues.
    Our company uses a Project Management system to issue invoices which is integrated with Xero, and we need control over the information provided to customers.

  15. We raise an invoice to a client.
    They pay it.
    Then for some reason, something changes.
    We need to raise a credit note against that invoice!

    I know I can create a new one from scratch but I want the history with this particular invoice and all the other details that I have already typed into it.

    What I DON'T want - is to delete the payment, create the credit note, delete the allocation of the credit to the invoice, then reapply the original payment.

    It is not an option within Xero to 'copy to draft' and create a negative…

    We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.

    I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products.   17. As the automatic journal for payroll is not able to be viewed before posting to accounts, we should have the option to turn off automatic journals. Currently, we have to post, then go back and do another journal to split out ER NI & Pension for different departments. This system is so unflexible.

  18. Chart of Accounts - Increase "Bank Account Number" Limit

    Currently the account number is limited to 20 characters.

    A International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is the standard for bank account numbers in Europe. I can be as much as 34 characters long.

    Please extend the length of the Bank Account Number to 34 characters.

  19. Offline/Online Syncing Xero Accounting Desktop Program which allows for Backup?
    When you dont have internet connection and you need to keep the staff working, obviously the file is not distributed to the cloud, but when the computer gets internet access it Syncs all of its data with the cloud. Xero, when internet connection is lost, you could still use all the same functionality, then once it gets online then it Syncs all the information with the cloud.

    Appreciate wanting to enable staff to keep working when your internets down.

    As multiple people can work within a Xero organisation, we'd also have to consider the implications this could have if multiple people were working on the same items at once and how this data would sync when back online.

    Being open it's not something we have plans for but we'll start to track the interest in your idea here.

    Hi team, we've just launched passkeys to our first group of users. From this week, Xero Me app users who haven't set up MFA yet will be able to use passkeys to log into Xero. Next, we'll be progressively rolling this out to more users over the coming months. We look forward to and welcome your feedback here.
