Billable Expenses - Retain source currency when invoicing expenses
When we rebill a transaction to a client that was already paid, if the amount is paid in Euros, for example €5,000, when I issue the next invoice to this customer, the expense automatically shows up to be included in this invoice. The issue is, when I choose this transaction, even though my invoice is also being billed in Euros, the amount is automatically converted to GBP (my company a/c's currency) and then is converted back to Euros so the amount to be rebilled shows us as a different figure either positively or negatively in my favour depending upon the exchange rate at that time. We do not wish these transactions to be converted from EUROS to GBP and then back to EUROS, simply put, the amount I paid in Euros is the amount I wish to bill the client. My question is, how do I stop this "behind the scenes" conversion which I believe is due to the fact that my company a/c's default currency is GBP? All my clients operate and function in Euros and all my invoices issued to them is always in Euros so this is an issue that happens routinely and is very time consuming to have to manually identify the original Euro amount and correct for each individual rebill item?

Bank Reconciliation - Show credit card number when reconciling
See card number when reconciling
There is no longer a card number on the bank statement line when reconciling.
This was really useful as we have multiple business cards connected to the same account and we need to know which employee made the transaction (which we identified through the credit card number)

Bill Payments - Add a different Pay To name, for paying bills through a Factor
Add a Pay-To Name that is different than the name of the Vendor. Explanation: I have a handful of Vendors who have hired out billing companies like Wells Fargo to handle their Accounts Receivable. In Xero I only get to name the Contact by the Pay-To Name which is very messy and meaningless when adding invoices and matching invoices to Vendors. For my business this is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed. *As a retailer, I only do accounts payable.

One Click Delivery Notes
We need to include delivery notes with orders. The current packing slip does not cover this requirement. I'd like to be able to select multiple invoices, and bulk print delivery notes for them all. The delivery note needs to be somewhat customisable.
The notion of having to edit an invoice and change the theme in order to generate a delivery note is completely impractical!
72 votesWhile only on an invoice by invoice basis atm there is a slightly simpler option that the team released that will help create a packing slip for invoices.
Would be good to get a sense of the interest for a bulk option and creating for multiple invoices at once.

Foreign Currency - Ability to turn off
One day I added a foreign currency because I needed the rate for a single transaction, but now all of the detail reports show three foreign exchange columns checked all the time, when I don't need them and don't want them. There is no way to turn off foreign exchange organization wide, nor to get rid of the columns. I am aware that I can make custom reports for account transactions, but the fact is that I use right click to open the account detail in a new tab from an existing report such as a balance sheet or income statement. This means that all day long I have to spend time clicking 6 columns off every single time I open a report (there are three more checked by default that are totally useless). That adds up to a fair bit of time, as I work in Xero most of the day, every day.

Contacts - Receive payment from customer contact page
I am on a customer page and it shows that they currently owe for two open invoices. I would like to be able to click on the button Open Invoices and have the option to receive payment for those open invoices without having to leave the customer page. Currently I have to go to 1. Business 2. invoices 3. Awaiting Payment 4. Scroll through ALL open invoices (no filter even?), 5. Select the invoices I want to receive payment on 6. Select Deposit. Why not just go straight to the customer's open invoices and receive payment?

Invoicing - Adding a payment refund
Sometimes clients pays an invoice but then if a refund is issued from that invoice to the same client, in Xero there is no option to add a refund on an invoice, you can only add a payment.
You can only add a refund on a CN but no always there is a CN available.
When a company has multiple clients and there is a large movement of funds, refunds and payments it is very difficult to keep track of these and a suspense account has to be used and therefore be reconciled at the end of the year. Is quite hard to keep track of all these movements with just a suspense account and you can't see clearly what has happened with that client's invoice.Sometimes clients pays an invoice but then if a refund is issued from that invoice to the same client, in Xero there is no option to add a refund on an invoice, you can only add a payment.

Would these commonly fit the scenarios in which you're describing here where large amounts of funds are transferred and perhaps a business overpays their invoices to the business through which a refund is then issued?
Bein quite a tied in feature to the payments model I want to be open that we don't have any immediate plans for changing this or adding a new type of transactions that would directly add refunds to an invoice.

UK Payroll - Ability to customise pension letters on Xero
For some clients we use Xero's Postponement and Eligibility letters. This has proved very useful but currently the letters cannot be customised.
We have a client for example who pays a higher employer contribution percentage than the standard. The letters however, only show the standard percentage's despite the settings being different to the standard. We also have a client who has asked for their company logo to be added to the letters.
After speaking with Xero Central I was informed that the letters currently cannot be customised and don't pull from the pension settings.
If this could be looked into that would be greatly appreciated. At least to have the percentage's noted in the letters to match the pension settings in Xero would be amazing.

AU Payroll - Multiple Earnings Rate in Payroll
Streamlining " Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate" .
I have a client who has 14 employees and 4 Ordinary Earnings Rate for each employee as their business trades 7 days a week. Each Employee is on a different Ordinary Earnings Rate. The current system on Xero requires you to create and select Multiple of employees ordinary earnings rate in the payroll settings and calculate and enter the multiplier % for each earnings rate for each employee in order for the ordinary earnings rate to be calculated and for the annual leave and carers/personal leave to be calculated. This is incredibly onerous and to consider that this needs to be then be entered in again when the award rates are released.
Other than that, the current employer has to manually add the annual and personal/carers leave for each weekly payrun. Can Xero upgrade this please?Streamlining " Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate" .

US - Send W-9 request from Organization email rather than Bookkeeper/Accountant email
The new W-9 Request feature is nice. However, it would be even better if there was a way to send the request using the Organization's email address rather than the Bookkeeper's or Accountant's email address. Contractor's might disregard the email request if they don't know who the Bookkeeper or Accountant is and don't recognize the sender's email address.
1 voteHi Lara, while not a complete solution for what you're after as you still need to send from an external email provider - I wanted to share a recent update we've made so you can now link directly to your email client from the W-9 in both Contacts and 1099. We've also provided an email template which you can easily edit to adjust any details you'd prefer such as adding the organisation title. See more on this in our help.

Bills - Allow invoice number duplication when importing
When importing bills from a csv file, Xero will currently treat all lines with the same invoice number as one transaction, even if the separate lines are from different suppliers. The system should ideally not ignore the fact that the supplier name is not the same. Would be good to assume that the bill is posted against the correct supplier, even if it happens to have the same invoice number as another supplier's invoice.

Cash Flow - Include future dated paid invoices
The cash flow currently picks up bills to be paid on a specific date in the cash flow but if you set up a payment in advance and mark as paid in Xero, the bill disappears all together from the cash flow.
The manual workaround is to "Add upcoming money in or out" but I would have expected Xero to pick them up as payments already set up on the bank account.
