  1. It would be good if on the taxable payments annual report, when it shows that the ABN has been 'provided' that this is also linked whether the ABN status is GST registered or not. This would be an easy checking tool that the GST charges has been properly done so and would make the person lodging the form to easily identify whether or not GST should be charged or not.   2. When you lodge BAS using Xero automation, it creates a draft Bill. My idea is that the BAS report the bill is based on, is also uploaded to the draft Bill as an attachment.

  3. It would be great to have a shortcut to adding project time. At the moment, the + near settings has a shortcut to many functions, but not project related functions.

  4. The receiving of PGG Wrightson's bank feeds within 4 working days of end of month (as currently stated in support/help) seems to no longer be the standard time frame.

    Can you please review with PGGW whether the time frame provided needs updating so we don't need to keep contacting support for confirmation as to whether there is an issue or just a slow month when feeds aren't through by that 4th working day.

    No one wants a repeat of April 2025 when the feeds were not received until 19th May.

    Feel a bit stupid when clients rings asking about where…

    Hi community, this idea has been created from feedback in this initial idea. While we are interested to get a better pulse on the interest in this, we want to front foot that we don't have any plans for this change.

    Switching from landscape to portrait was made based on a lot of feedback and testing, so we'd want to see a fair amount of support through the idea here to consider making another change.

  6. please remove ACTION column under bills tab - don't push your products on your customers. It is a real turn off. The check mark under the column is greyed out. Let your customers remove please. Right now it isn't possible.

  7. When preparing monthly CIS returns on xero you need to create a bill for the subcontractor and reconcile/mark the bill as paid. When you have clients that have on average 80 to 120 subcontractors the bill creation even with a bill template can be time consuming.
    Something to consider is whether creating a bill could be removed from this process and the CIS return be prepared simply from a spend money to a CIS enable contact.
    Also something else that can be time consuming when dealing with this volume of subcontractors is downloading the monthly CIS payment certificates as clients…

  8. It would be so helpful if tradesmen could create a printable & electronic job sheet from a quotation containing materials and time scales etc
    This would be amazing as I have to use other software for this .

    Hey Steve, thanks for sharing this idea. We get that it’s an extra step having to create a job sheet in another tool after you’ve already prepared the quote in Xero, and how a more streamlined flow would save you time.

    One option for now is to use Xero Projects to track time and expenses against your work. While we know this doesn't give you that specific printable job sheet for your team on the go, it's the best way to manage the work in Xero right now. Another user has also helpfully highlighted how they use quote templates to create job sheets in Xero.

    Alternatively, as you’ve mentioned, there are options on the Xero App Store that may provide the solution you’re looking for here.

  9. Add tracking categories to the find and match function on the bank reconciliation screen. this would make matching payments to invoices easier for my clients as they have payments taken via DD per branch

  12. In Canada, 'Make Payment' button is not available in 'Bills'. It would be nice to make payment directly from the Bills instead making payment from the bank.

  13. Re: New Invoicing - Reduce Number of steps and clicks (The original thread has had comments turned off, so I can't comment that it has made more steps, not less...)

    What has happened here...it is now taking eight tab clicks to get from Reference Number to the first box to input the item code...last week it was six...so the number of click has increased, not decreased.

    Also, when inputting an item code, I have multiple codes that have the same base code with different suffixes...is there are way to just get it to the shaded part that you select the…

    Thanks for taking your time to start a new idea with the specific flow you'd like to reduce steps in, Lynette. Just to check it sounds like you may be tabbing from the Reference field to the Item code field - Would this be correct?

    Being upfront this isn't something we have further changes planned for in the near term but it'll be good to gauge the interest from community around this, here.🙂

  14. It would be great to have a feature to Approve, Mark as sent & Email multiple invoices in one click from the Awaiting Approval Tab. We use a program outside of Xero to add invoice details & amounts and then export to Xero for approval and emailing. At present we have to take two steps to achieve the Approve, Mark as sent & Email result.

    In the meantime, it is possible to bulk Approve invoices from the Draft tab. Once this is done, you'll get a message where you can click 'View invoices' and select them all to then Email.

Timesheets - aside from just having an employee enter hours worked against each, it would be good to have a customizable timesheet that other fields could be recorded against the day that are not hours driven. For example - for one day have the employee enter 5hrs of time worked but also another field for a quantity driver - eg; enter quantity of 3. We have one client with a large number of employees that are remunerated via an hourly rate plus a quantity driver. The current workaround is the employee to submit the timesheet but also send a separate…

  16. It would be useful to capture Incoterms on a contact by having a dropdown selection for them. Additionally, if this information can be carried over to the invoice screen, it would be beneficial.

  17. At the moment when you go to Organisation Settings > Subscription and billing (e.g. https://go.xero.com/Settings/ManageSubscription), it says "Change plan and update credit card details Managed by XXXX"

    If we are XXXX - we don't see either of those things, only a button to take us somewhere else to Manage the plan.
    If we are not XXXX - we don't see either of those things.

    How dumb?

    Just show the Xero subscription/plan so we know what it is.

    Hi Sam, appreciate you sharing this idea — we understand where you're coming from.

    Being able to quickly see your Xero subscription plan from within your organisation’s settings would definitely make things easier. Having to jump to a different section just to check your plan or see what features are included isn’t ideal, especially when you’re trying to make quick decisions.

    At the moment, this info isn’t shown in the Organisation Settings, but you can view your plan by going to My Xero from the main menu and clicking on the Subscriptions tab. That’s where you’ll find your current plan and any add-ons.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this change would make things simpler for you, feel free to vote or leave a comment — your feedback helps us understand what matters most and where we can improve.


  18. we are currently setting up our company so that all employees use projects to keep track of time entries.
    however, we have given majority of our employees limited access as they don't need to see much, but it means they aren't able to add their expenses on. This isn't ideal for us as our employees do a lot of travelling and need to be able to add their own expenses on to claim their millage back, is this something that could be changed?

  19. The current Tracking Summary Report is quite inflexible. I'm unable to filter by Account Code, edit the report layout, nor save as a custom report. It would be good if this report design could be refreshed to include these features, and to bring the report inline with the newer style reports.

    I’d like to raise a feature request regarding how invoice totals are displayed in Xero.

    Currently, the Draft, Awaiting Approval, Sent, and Awaiting Payment invoice lists always display totals on a GST (tax) inclusive basis. For businesses like ours that operate and report primarily on a GST-exclusive basis, this creates unnecessary reconciliation effort and increases the risk of error when reviewing invoices in bulk.

    While we can work around this by using the Receivable Invoice Detail report set to “Tax Exclusive,” this adds extra steps and does not provide the same quick visibility as the…
