Bank Feeds - Customise fields in the Account Transactions tab
It would be handy if account transaction list that shows when you click on your bank account could be modified to include / remove different fields so that you can see information that you would like to see when looking at bank transactions without having to create a custom report.

Bank Rec: Option to add pre-defined bank fee to subtotal when reconciling payments
My payment provider has recently started taking their fee percentage prior to the deposit, versus charging me at the end of the month.
This has caused each of my deposits to mismatch the invoice total.
Meaning, I need to add a bank fee on each individual transaction.
It would be EXTREMELY useful to have a "default bank fee" or "default credit card fee" button that would:
1) Remember the Contact as [Payment Provider] (currently have to type that in manually)
2) Add a default description "Credit Card Processing Fee"

VAT Reconciliation - Ability to view tracking category
Adding tracking categories to VAT return/reports:
I would like to run a VAT return/report per quarter to be shown by tracking category rather than as a whole. There is not an option on the current VAT report to add the tracking categories, therefore I think this would add benefits to any client that uses tracking categories for departments.

To be upfront we don't have current plans around this with much of our reporting teams focus on change in the new reporting framework in lead up to removing older reports in July this year - More on this here
I've slightly amended the title of your idea and we'll feel out the interest for this here and update if any change is planned.
For now if not already, I'd highly encourage sharing link to the idea here with your clients and colleagues that'd like to see this to support, too.

NZ Payroll - More employee bank accounts fields
More than four bank accounts for employees: It would be helpful if we could have more than four bank accounts for employee wages to be split into. A minimum of 6 would be good as a few employees have asked for money to be split into more than four accounts.

Bank accounts - Export list of unreconciled items from Account Transactions screen
Be able to export to Excel the Account Transactions screen from the bank that shows the unreconciled items
10 votesHi all, I wanted to share that while there's no export option on the Account Transactions screen itself, it is possible to export a list of unreconciled Account Transactions with the Business Bank Account Reconciliation Summary report. If you export a copy of this to Excel you'll find the sections for Plus Outstanding Payments and Less Outstanding Receipts which are the unreconciled account transactions. Hope that helps 😊

BAS - Automatic Reconciliation of BAS Payments
Auto create entries for items included in “Amounts the Tax Offices owes you” and under the accounts of PAYGW, GST and PAYG, when an activity statement is created in Xero.

We've released a new feature that allows you to easily create a draft bill or invoice directly from the BAS (Business Activity Statement) statement page after finalising or filing it for the period.
The created transaction will be pre-populated with most of the required details such as contact details, account, amount, and description, for you to review and approve. You'll be able to view the transaction directly from the BAS return, or through Invoice and Bills. 🎉

Would be great if we can get a report /summary of total days an employee work per year. This will be extremely useful with calculating long service hours per employee at year end.

Xero Accounting app | Bank Reconciliation - Ability to add an expense as 'common expenses'.
"Common Expenses" - fix product flaw.
In Xero app, as follows:
-Purchases
- +
-Add receipt
-Tap:Categorise to an acct
-acct list pops up with heading "Common expenses". 2 accts listed which I rarely use.

Batch Payments - Supplier batch payment without swift code or linked bank account
I would like Xero to remove or make it optional when making batch supplier payment without swift code or linking with bank account as not every company will link their xero with their bank. Current batch payment is not applicable to my company as we do not link our bank account with xero. This compulsory swift code for bank processing is really not user friendly & our company book keeper has to enter supplier payment 1 by 1 for 20 invoice payment.

Banking | Account Transactions - Show # of unreconciled transactions
Bank : I work in practice an an issue I see day in and day out is unreconciled Account Transactions. Unlike the 'Reconcile' tab, there is no number in brackets to indicate how many unreconciled Account Transactions there are to prompt people to look at it.
Most of my clients didn't know about the Reconciliation Report, all they concentrate on is getting the number on the 'Reconcile' tab as low as possible.
I would really like to see the number of unreconciled Account Transactions to appear on this tab.

Bank - Change name of receive/spend money transactions
It would be most helpful if we could edit "receive/spend money" with "Bank receipt/payment", where "Bank" is replaced by the name of the bank, i.e. HSBC or Barclays, etc.

7 votesHi team, we wanted to return and provide a further update to the idea here understanding it's still getting some attention. As mentioned in my last post we introduced a common format('Account Transactions with tax rates') within the General Ledger Details report that provides a more direct overview of the tax entered for all transactions in your organisation. It includes all transactions that have a tax implication to the ledger regardless of where they came from.
To provide a bit more on how tax treatment is shown and how Xero works - Xero automatically splits transactions to record the tax element of a transaction based on the tax rate selected on lines of your transactions, this saves you time having to record the apportionment in separate lines.

Analytics Plus | Short term cashflow - Filter predictions by bank account
Analytics Plus - Predictions do not filter based on bank account selection
When you have multiple bank accounts but only need one selected for cash flow purposes, the monthly predictions that xero has created do not filter out based on the bank account they were predicted from.
In my example I now have petty cash predictions and interest income from a savings account showing when only the main current account is selected, this messes with the predicted end balance making the cash totally useless

New Account Summary Report - Search by Account Code
The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

Bank Rec | Coding bank fees - Tab through fields
When reconciling an item that comprises an invoice plus a bank fees adjustment, it would be great to be able to use TAB to select the contact, account etc when completing the adjustment part of the transaction, like you can when coding literally anything else. Almost every time I go to code the bank fees adjustment, I type in the contact, hit tab, belatedly notice that nothing has been selected, face palm myself, then have to go back, type the contact in again, hit RETURN and then TAB, for both the contact and for the account type. AU Payroll - Reinstate order of payroll activity summary report
Sometime in the last week, the order in which data is presented in the Payroll Activity Summary report has changed from
- Earnings
- Tax
- Super
- Net payable
- Actual paid
to

- TaxPut it back, please, it makes no sense to have something other than Wages less Tax equals Payable. Also reinstate the highlighted total lines in this report and in the Payroll Employee Summary, I'm ashamed to send this to my client with their IAS, it's not readable enough.

Xero Mobile - Bank Reconcilation: Notify when more than one potential match
Mobile/ipad bank reconciliation
Request to show in the suggested green match it is 1 of many if more than 1 matching invoice (as it does in desktop)
Else payments can be matched to incorrect same value invoices - what a headache to fix later..
AND
… find and match can only search by name or invoice number -
Please add to search by invoice amount (as this will help with when there are multiples to choose the correct one)
