  1. It would be useful if the cell size was bigger when entering a Spend Money or Receive Money transaction. The area to type in is only two thirds the size of the cell in the Description box which restricts the amount of information visible. Only two lines of text are visible at a time.

  2. Ability to manage our loans in Xero. We should have the option to enter the interest %, term, opening balance, simple/compound interest and repayment period (monthly, annually, end of term etc.)

  3. It's very hard to tell multiple organizations apart, particularly if they have the same initials. Currently, Xero simply displays the organizations' initials. It also assigns a random color to each organization. It would help distinguish these greatly if the organization settings allowed me to upload an avatar for each organization. Xero's Demo Company already illustrates how this feature would look. Also, it would help edit the color Xero assigns so that the color could match each organization's branding.

  5. It would be great to have a way of linking expenses on a project to an individual task so your invoices and quotes are much more streamlined and broken down into the tasks (especially when working on larger projects with many tasks and expenses)

    Something along the line of:
    when entering an estimated expense/expense into the project as well as having all the current tabs, having a another tab to 'assign to task' . When generating a quote/invoice you will then only have the task name and it will have combined the hours and materials listed.

  6. Until this month, this was not an issue. However this month Xero has taken away the ability to send the superannuation SMS authorisation code to international numbers. What happens when you change a number or move overseas but still work for the company. Why take this away? Without discussion with your customers. If it's not broken, why is Xero trying to fix it?

  8. I need to be able to run the "Income and Expenses by Contact" by Due Date rather than by Invoice Date, i.e. I would like to be able to select a date range and then there could be a drop down selection indicating whether these dates are Invoice Dates or Due Dates.

    We are a SaaS company with monthly subscription invoices, and what I am trying to achieve by running the report by Due Date is to report by the usage month which the invoice relates to.

    E.g. an invoice for August's usage would be auto generated on 25 July,…

  9. We have problem with Xero, For one user Xero approving and then editing same invoice on same time, When it is editing on same time it is adding same line items twice on the invoices resulting invoice amount is double. Any one having same issue ? How to solve this issue ?

Now with STP2, we need to disaggregate backpay across the various ATO Payroll categories but it is not possible to setup a backpay category for any leave categories, please create default categories or allow allocation to the ATO leave categories in pay items. Without it, it is impractical to be STP2 compliant.

  11. The old Xero version of Products and Services was really useful, as would show individual pieces costs to 4 decimal places.
    The new version only shows 2 decimal places - we would really like to be able to see the 4 decimal places again!

    The old version was also more user friendly, as you could 'tab' shortcut from one section to another when making adjustments. The new version you need to use your mouse and select everything which takes much longer.

  12. to be able to add expenses app without having to upgrade the subscription to standard- most traders dont use Xero and we keep as managed client- but they just want the expenses app to keep receipts out their vans - ability to have expenses without the rest of the cost of upgrading to standard - lets keep costs down for folk.

As the Standard user role is required to send a customer receipts for invoice payments or receive money transactions (https://central.xero.com/s/article/Send-a-receipt-to-a-customer), clerical staff assigned this role can view all bank account balances. As most business owners would prefer that bank balances remain confidential, adding the ability to generate customer receipts to the Invoices Only role would alleviate this concern.

  16. When Posting a customer invoice it would be very useful to be able to see customer address and ROI vat number so I can apply the correct vat code. ATM I have to go to contact details for that information then back into invoice posting

    Hi Gillian, understand it doesn't accomplish all of your idea here. However you can view a contacts address from the invoice. If you click on the 'To' field once you've added the contact you'll be able to view their email, postal and delivery addresses and telephone. 

  17. Customers are constantly baffled why my phone doesn't recognise their number. It's quite a drag to explain that although their number is in my phone (xero contacts), caller id is not able to access the information. I understand there's some way to sync google contacts with a premium subscription, but surely in 2022 this should be a basic feature.

  18. When sending customer statements, we have a mix of clients who have email, and some who still get sent statements in the post.

    It would be amazing if we could apply filters, like in excel, to the send statement screen, so i could say filter out all clients who have a balance greater than $0, but also who has an email address, so we can process statements, then reapply the filter to give all those without an email so we can then print all the statements needing printing.

    At present we can sort by email or account balance but not…

  19. We must be give an option or some kind of template to upload hours in Xero if there are hourly employees and number is huge. Doing manually is quite a challenge and time wastage.
    So this option must be available even if not using time sheet.
