Invoicing - Notification when an invoice or document is modified
We have had a number of issues relating to modified invoices / documents within Xero. It would be great if there is a way we can setup alerts or email notifications each time certain documents are modified such as invoices or figures on forms etc. This would allow our Financial Controller to oversee all changes made on a global level.

Payable Invoice report - Auto update results when transactions listed in date range report is run
When viewing reports ( e.g. transactions reports) if you change the date range of the report after you have looked at the transactions for a particular date range , the report comes up with "nothing to show" so you have to close it and reopen the report with the different dates - it's annoying and time consuming.

If you have transactions entered in your org for the dates the report is being run this should be reflected in your report results.

It would be great if we could test the Xero Me app (similar to how we can with the Demo Company for Xero) to be able to see what employees see.

General Ledger Detail - Include "Payment Reference" as an optional column
It would be great to be able to include this column, as Xero does not have a numbered Payment Voucher.

E-Invoicing - Setting the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
Could you please look at making the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
This will allow the invoices raised in Xero Practice Manager to be sent to Xero and then sent in Bulk (email multiple clients from awaiting payment) rather than selecting it manually. This will save a lot of time and also allow the other side to receive the invoice in their system.
Currently what it is doing is getting us to go into the invoice and then manually toggle this for clients we know are setup for e-invoicing. If this is handle automatically it will achieve its true purpose.It will also allow the system to go through and check the ones that are not signed up to e-invoicing and send those out as normal. Currently its doing it the other way round which is annoying especially when you raise a lot of invoicing on a daily basis and have to keep toggling the button.

Bills to pay: Multiple payment dates in one payment batch
Could you please add the option to pay have different payment dates for bills in a batch payment. Perhaps you can select to choose 'one payment date' or the 'planned payment date' when creating the batch. This way we can bundle multiple payments into one batch and don't need to set up multiple batches for multiple payments dates.

New Quote - Create blank lines in Quote
Since the new quote format was launched, we are no longer to insert a blank line in our quotes at the beginning of a new item. Previously, this allowed us to space out the quote a little so it didn
t look too jumbled and allowed us to space the quote neatly over two pages instead of just having a line of a quote on the second page if it didn
t all quite fit on the first. As you may have found - While possible to add a new line and drag & drop this to where you'd like it to sit in a quote. Once saved, blank lines that have no data in any field will disappear and lines with detail will condense.
Apologies for the earlier misunderstanding and we appreciate those who've feedback on the idea here too.
There aren't any direct plans for changing this behaviour for now. We have a keen eye on the interest here so please add your support through votes and importance.
For the time being, if you'd like to add a blank line in your quote you'll need to enter a character in the description field of the line - This could just be a hyphen or full stop

Automatically accrue RDO hours after a certain amount of hours logged.
Job management systems push 80 hours over as a timesheet in Xero.
We would like the total combined hours logged (ordinary hours, annual leave, RDOs, personal leave and public holidays) in excess of 76 hours to automatically be converted to RDO hours.
E.g: If I log 80 hours ordinary time, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 78 hours ordinary time, I accrue 2 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 80 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 72 hours ordinary time and 8 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 70 hours ordinary time and 8 hours annual leave, I accrue 2 hours RDO.For us this is the same for casual and full-time workers.

Sales Invoice - Select "reply to" email address from dropdown
SO annoying that when we want to send an invoice using a different email address we have to always go into "Settings > Email Settings" to change the email address and then go back into it to change back once done. Why cannot we select the "reply to" email address from a drop down just like the "email template"?

I cannot believe that there is no merge function for duplicated employees. Most payroll systems have this function. The error occurred between integration with time and attendance software and Xero.

Ability to edit the unit price and quantity of both paid and part-paid invoice.
Purpose: Users can easily change the unit price and quantity, especially when their customers often ask for these changes.

Reporting - Switch layout between left-right and right-left
When you download a P&L / BS report (whether old or new templates), and include comparative periods, there should be an option to choose left to right, or right to left. If i have downloading for Jul-22, with 12 months of comparatives, i want the oldest month to be on the left, and Jul-22 to be all the way to the right. That is typically how all excel financial models are built, and the basis of these models is historical financials.

AU Payroll - Option to not automatically approve leave requests submitted on behalf of employee
Have the ability to create a leave request on behalf of an employee without approving it as Payroll Admin, and then submit the request to the Leave Approver for that employee.

AU Payroll - Allow ordinary hours to reduce below 0
Xero should reduce Ordinary hours below nil when leave requests are input for the current/previous weeks if the total leave exceeds normal ordinary hours. Eg FT employee 38hrpw is off all current week on leave in addition to 7.6hrs for a day last week not previously processed. Currently, in this situation Xero will not reduce Ordinary hours below Nil and would pay the employee 45.6hours as leave. A manual adjustment is needed to reduce Ordinary hours to minus 7.6hrs to correctly pay the employee.

To include invoice link in column fields when exporting invoice details.
Reason: During times of audit, we will need to extract the invoices and it has to be done 1 by 1.

Reconciliation | Find & Match - Set a range for search
While performing a task of Bulk Income Reconciliation , I have to add Invoice one by one likewise 70123 , 70124, 70125 and so on. This is very time consuming task.
Could we have range over there so that we can directly select all and reconcile the same.6 votesHi there 👋, for the example you've provided here you could enter "701" into the search field which would search all unreconciled invoices that include this detail in the Invoice Number field.
While not a definitive range this'd enable you to focus on a group of invoices in a sequence - Would this suit for what you're after here?
