  1. In the old version of the report you could over type a selected account with another to quickly see the new account.
    In the new version you 1/ can't see the accounts you choose easily, 2/can't deselect (you must first "Select All" then "Deselect All".
    If I have missed something please let me know.
    This is making spot checking of account transactions much slower, and time equals money.

  2. When you 'Invite Staff', the ability to copy an existing staff members 'privileges' will speed up the user creation process significantly.
    Currently I have to switch between two screens to achieve this.

  3. We write paper checks for some of our clients using a blank check style format. It would be nice to be able to insert a scanned signature on the signature line on the check style. This would enable the authorized signature to print on all checks printed.

  4. We must be give an option or some kind of template to upload hours in Xero if there are hourly employees and number is huge. Doing manually is quite a challenge and time wastage.
    So this option must be available even if not using time sheet.

    I've checked in with our Payroll team where this detail is saved.
    We appreciate wanting more options for gender when entering personal details, and in some regions such as AU & NZ this is optional.
    Currently, in order to ensure successful payroll filings with HMRC in the UK, we need to match the schema they provide. That said, our team are reassessing how this fits in Xero so I'll shift this Idea to 'under review' and can share any updates that come.

  7. STP2 - Splitting allowances for all purpose from the hourly rate

    We have employees with all purpose allowances - ie it forms part of the base hourly rate and extrapolates in to overtime rates and annual leave loading. I now have to take it out of the rate and pay as separate line items including overtime and annual leave multipliers.

    Is Xero in their pay templates going to make changes to say have a tick box to indicate an add on allowance to the rate so regardless of the pay lines (that are set up as such) they multiply they…

    Hey community 👋 thanks for the interest in this idea! 


    Just to clarify, when creating a new allowance pay item, you'll have the options to 'Contribute towards annual leave rate' and 'contributes towards overtime rate'.


    This setting will include allowance type pay items in the calculation of annual leave and overtime rates. 


    I can see the main request here was a 'box to indicate an add on allowance'. 


    Can you confirm if this tick box in payroll settings solves that request?

  8. When you enter an invoice it flags up to say that it has already been entered, with a credit note this function is not available, could this be added?

  13. re you able to give a journal a 'type' as in reference it such as the payroll journal , depreciation journal, Tax Journal . So if I wanted to search/ segregate all payroll / depreciation etc etc journals you could do so .

In trying to create clean and simple Account Transaction reports similar to the old reports, for quick reconciling of accounts such as Super Payable and PAYG Payable, showing the weekly Payroll Expense Journal entries for the month (as per old report with) without splitting the weekly Payroll Expense Journals into multiple payroll cost centres.
    The closest I can get is via Grouping/Summarising using Summarise by Date or Summarise by Reference, however regardless of what Columns are selected, the output is too minimal:
    - Summarise by Date shows the fields Date, Debit & Credit only, no References
    - Summarise by Reference…

  18. Transactions posted after a period end affecting prior periods

    Lock dates had not been set and as a result, there has been a few entries in to the last financial year.
    How can I locate these entries?

    I have tried a transaction report, but there are no parameters that I could enter.
    Ideally.

    Example -
    Our year end is 31st August.
    I would like a report that looks for transactions entered between dates 1/4/22 - 21/9/22 that have a transaction date up to 31.8.21 (last year end)

    Hi Kellie, you might find History & notes useful for getting the insight you're after here. 

    Though it's not possible to filter by the transaction date - You can set a date range like you've mentioned to view activity that has occurred post your orgs year end and ability to filter by Item types so you just view the item types you're interested in.

  19. Currently in European Countries except for the United Kingdom, the comma is used as a decimal separator not the dot.

    Europe: x.,xx i.e. €1.250,55
    UK: x,
    .xx i.e. £1,250.55

    For those Xero users invoicing to Europe countries It would be great if we could change the format of these numeric separators to better conform to European countries.

    The only ability we have at the moment to customise this is to remove the comma separator completely and have no decimal places.

  20. Roster Board for Employee Shift Management.

    A scheduling /roster to show employee shifts. That then can be reconciled against the timesheets submitted. The ability to also send the weekly/fortnighly schedule roster to each employee - or have them be able to view it on the Xero Me app. Have a clock in clock out feature on the Xero Me App to record when a shift starts and ends.
