AU Payroll | Employees - Roster Board for Shift Management
Roster Board for Employee Shift Management.
A scheduling /roster to show employee shifts. That then can be reconciled against the timesheets submitted. The ability to also send the weekly/fortnighly schedule roster to each employee - or have them be able to view it on the Xero Me app. Have a clock in clock out feature on the Xero Me App to record when a shift starts and ends.

Uncoded Statement lines - option to show reconciled transactions
Our clients would like the option to show reconciled and uncoded options on the same uncoded items report. Moving from MYOB/Banklink they are used to reviewing all transactions and having the ability to add notes for us to then code and add in the accounting software. We have many clients who fill in this form for us to then enter into the software and at present then only way to show this is running a bank reconciliation report.

As noted in the initial idea while there's specifically a report for uncoded statement lines, the Bank Reconciliation report will provide a list of all statement lines (coded and uncoded) - Is there something missing within this report that you're looking for in this?

Chart of Accounts | Spending caps/limit based on budgeted amount
Is it possible to introduce a spending cap in the Xero based on the agreed/ set budget for each expense line to prevent incurring costs above the agreed/ authorised budget?
If the functionality is in place, raising a purchase order that will take the cost over the authorise budget should not be possible. Better still, if this functionality can be introduced, can it also be implemented at the tracking category level.

Right now, there's the ability to set a credit Limit at a customer level but not on a supplier side of things. We have an idea for this here, but appreciate what you're asking based on the budget comparative is a little different and I'll leave this idea separate so we can track he interest in each.

Xero Projects - Search Tasks within a Project
We are a small consultancy firm and we do work for customers for multiple sites. We set up our projects where each task is a separate site. We need to be able to search for these tasks but the search option only allows searching at a project level. Can you please update the functionality to be able to search based on task name?

Branding - Option to remove organisation Name and Address from standard invoice template
Standard invoice template should allow users to remove company name and or address within the tick box options - so that those printing on headed paper (containing pre printed logo and name and address of co) can adapt standard invoice easily and don't require advanced work of docx custom invoice to achieve name and address removal

1. export the main data from all purchase orders / or

There is a common format within the Payable Invoice detail report that might serve your needs here and can be set u and saved as custom with the columns you'd prefer, and can be exported to PDF, Excel or Google sheets.

Invoice Payments - Collect GoCardless "ASAP" instead of on Due Date
It would be really good to have a tick box on the Invoice creation page similar to "GoCardless: Collect ASAP" which would cause the payment to be collected ASAP as opposed to on the Due Date of the invoice.
For customers who already have a mandate set up via GoCardless, using "+0 days" for Repeating Invoices or "Today" for standard invoices as the Due Date resolves the problem in a way - the money is collected ASAP.
But for customers who do not have a mandate set up, things get even more complicated.
We generally set the Due Date of an invoice to +1month to give customers a reasonable time to pay before the invoice is considered overdue, even if in reality we want the payment ASAP. This means that if the customer kindly signs up to pay via GoCardless soon after receiving the invoice, we still have to wait until +1month for the payment to be taken. If they had paid in some other way on the same date, we'd potentially get the payment much faster.As for the situation where a customer signs up for GoCardless after the Due Date of the invoice, GoCardless support told me that although a DD mandate for future bills would be created, no payment would be taken for the original invoice! I find that hard to believe and I really hope they were wrong, but if that's correct then it means that if we were to set the Due Date to say 7 days or 14 days instead of 1 month after the invoice date, to help reduce the length of time we have to wait for a payment to be taken, the chances of the customer setting up the mandate with GoCardless before the Due Date are significantly reduced.
So, although it won't resolve the potential problem of customers signing up for GoCardless after the Due Date, a "Collect ASAP" tick box would at least help get payments sooner rather than later. Essentially, with that box ticked, Xero's systems would see that a GoCardless signup had been completed and then set the collection date via the GoCardless API to +4 (or +5 days to be safe) as opposed to whatever was on the invoice itself.

6 votesHi community, as noted in my earlier update atm you could export your list of suppliers from contacts which will include email and bank details.
Being open, we don't have current plans for expanding on the details represented in this report. We'll continue to gauge the interest of this and share if there's any change.

Project Details Report - Summarise by Project Name
The Project Details report has the option to Summarise by Project Name, however the feature doesn't work if you select multiple projects. Xero support have advised that they know about the problem but don't plan on fixing it. The report just comes back with a message saying "There is No Data to Display". This report would be very useful as it is the only report that shows remaining hours on the summary version. Project reports overall are very confusing and this is the report that makes the most sense and is not working.

AU Payroll - Edit text on payslips
It would be great to be able to edit text on a payslip. For example, one of my clients would like to hide the percentage of leave loading on their employees' payslip. Currently the payslip would read "Annual Leave - Leave Loading (17.5%, exempt from SGC)" for each time leave is taken, and they would like to hide the "(17.5%, exempt from SGC)" part.

Bills - Duplicate all fields when copying a bill
There is presently a feature that enables copying a bill and transferring its details to a new bill. However, I have observed that this functionality omits the "Permit Number," necessitating manual duplication. It would be advantageous if this copying function could accurately duplicate the specified bill in its entirety, without any omissions.

Projects | Timesheets: Ability to set description field as mandatory
There should be an option to make the description field for users completing their timesheets mandatory. This would enable Project Managers and Finance Managers to view more detailed information other than the number of hours worked on tasks.
Currently many users do not fill in the description because it is not compulsory, which means that this detail is lost and decisions surrounding resourcing of Projects are not as accurate.
This is critical to businesses where R&D is a large area and therefore efficient Project Management is key. As this may not be critical to all business using the Projects Module, there should be an option within the business/financial settings to turn on mandatory descriptions.
Similarly, this should be extended to all user fields. For example, within expense claims it would also be useful to be able to toggle an option to make the description and segment mandatory.

Bills: Open links in new tab on the new bills screen
On the new bills screen you're now unable to open other areas (awaiting payment/draft etc) in a second tab without first opening the purchases overview window in a new tab.
On the old bills screen you could either middle click or ctrl+click the options at the top of the list to do this and it was rather useful.

Reports - Add column for 'Last year to date'
It would be great for Reports and Custom Reports to have the ability to include a "Last year to Date" Colum. This would improve the ability to compare how the client is progressing Year on Year.

Contacts - Ability to save 'Attention to' only for Billing or Postal address
Since the new contact layout was introduced, you cannot save an attention name without there being an address in the address field. Sometimes we do have a company name, contact name and no address.
Please review and correct.
