Projects module has functionality to enter a deadline date but none of the reporting options can export a column with it.

Check Register: Hide previously printed checks
When printing newly created checks it would be nice to have the ability to easily select all for just those new checks by marking all previously printed checks as having already been printed instead of either having to check the box next to each check you want to print or by doing a search by date (if you print checks once daily) to be able to then select all to print.

Sales invoice - Edit tax rates without removing payment
It would be great if we could edit the tax rate without reversing the payment allocation. Sometimes, when completing the VAT reconciliation before sending to HMRC, I spot errors in tax rates and I can't edit it without reversing the payment allocation. You can edit the account it is posted to but not the tax rate.

Xero Accounting app | Invoice - Ability to reorder/sort invoices
Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

Payable invoice reports - Ability to filter individual lines or sections rather than whole report
The ability to customise a bills report so that each line (or different sections) can be filtered for description, account code, contact etc, rather than the whole report

We don't have any plans at this stage for multi-tiered filtering but it'd be good to better understand your needs behind it?

Bank Rules - Create new Account from a Bank Rule
This feature was included in the old user interface for Bank Rules, and with the new interface that was rolled out, this feature is no longer available. Instead, I'm forced to go to the COA screen to add a new COA code, then refresh my Bank Rules screen to then be able to choose that account. The time this adds, on top of the already manual process to add bank rules, really adds up. I'd love to see this ability again.

Management reports - Ability to include VAT return reports
The new custom report pack looks great but it would be good to be able to export the VAT return within the same pack. Can the VAT reports be added to this functionality? I think it would be helpful for many people.
I regularly look at a profit and loss, balance sheet, aged receivables detail, aged payables detail and the VAT return reports monthly for all clients and it would be great to export these together, and would save a lot of time.

Expenses Payments - Auto-Populate Approved Amount
Generally working in Xero is very efficient. However, when paying approved expense claims (and recording the payment) I have to constantly switch between keyboard to type in the payment amount (which is displayed in a cell above) and the mouse to select the payment date and payment account. I can't imagine a scenario when the amount paid is not the amount approved. Why is this cell not pre-populated with the approved amount? If it was it would halve the time it would take me to register payments against expense claims.

Subscription - Allow downgrade any time (effective at the end of the subscription period)
It is ridiculous that you are forced to set a calendar reminder to come back and downgrade a Xero Subscription in a month's time.
A client may need to increase their subscription purely to account for the crossover period of one staff member leaving and a new one starting and whilst we have no issue paying the additional for the one extra employee, to make it impossible to downgrade for a month after that upgrade is a pathetic cash grab by Xero.
Make it possible to downgrade the file immediately and have it take effect from the future date.7 votes -
Expenses - Option to 'Query' in addition to Approve or Deny
Expenses - Claim query function. Rather than just approve or deny, an option to query with a note to the submitter about the details of the claim or to add a better/proper receipt etc

Reports - Refresh page to load report in new organisation
At the moment on the old P&L and Balance Sheet reports if you change the company on another tab and have the P&L and B/S open in another tab if you press F5 on your keyboard it will update to the new company you have changed to. This feature is not available on the new P&L & B/S which will be the only source from July. I really need this F5 function on the new reports as I have 20 ledgers to run and if I have to keep re-running the P&L & B/S at month end it will significantly add more time to my month end process. Please, please add this function as you have it on the old P&L and B/S and would be very helpful on the new reports.

Bank Reconciliation - Option to not remember last comment
Have a tick option to remember old comment OR not remember for the bank rec. Otherwise people are just going to ignore and use the same comment every time they reconcile a similar transaction, even if it's not valid. Nice to apply this just to comments vs forgetting coding.

one of the ATO requirement is to submit the Expense from other companies with ABN into it. if you can implement by adding ABN to the report, it will be really helpful for us.

Email to bill - Enter a bill as already paid
It would be great to have the ability to mark a bill as already paid when being entered.
We use the bills email address for employees with company credit cards to submit receipts/invoices for purchases however, when these go into bills and before they can be reconciled, they get mixed up with bills actually needing to be paid. This is also the case for invoices we receive that are then direct debited, before the amount is deducted from our accounts, it's easy for these to be confused for bills that need to be batched and paid. If multiple people are working on accounts it can be especially confusing.
We currently type PAID or DD (direct debit) into the reference to differentiate between the type of bills but seems a little clunky.
Anyone else deal with this issue and think this would be a handy function?
